Stores that specialize in second hand models like this are awesome, this place looks incredible
"Hey, do you mind opening the store on a sunday morning just for 40£ of revenue for your whole day ?"
Damn that guy was nice XD
To be fair, everyone seemed to have carried out wayyyyy more. But the challenge itself was ~10 quid per person.
He probably opened for an hour and half then went straight home def worth it for the publicity it brings and the fact they all spent way more in there than just £10 each.
They spent 10 on the kill team.... they all obviously walked out with straight arm fulls of stuff.
@@fookinaye8277 In an Australian GW shop you would get jack for a $10 , maybe 1 paint , but no way you can even get 1 mini
Yorkshire shop with Yorkshire prices .... but really should have been kept a secret for us Yorkies 🤫
Similar prices for bits in Canada. At least after the exchange rate
если бы не пандемия, я бы уже купил билет до Лондона и на попутках бы добирался до Йорка что попасть в этот магазин
@@CreateHarmony thanks ,i bad speak English ,
I know one thing that when the border is opened, I will come to this town
Yorkshire.... It's only little isolated test tube
"it's a local shop for local people" so the owner shouldn't sell to anyone else other than those that live fulltime in Yorkshire?
This looks like so much fun! I'd love to go shopping with you and the lads someday :-)
Absolutely! I love seeing the mini painting scene collabs. Makes it feel like a tight knit family :')
Love ya Brent! Patiently waiting for new vids! (Take you're time! Hope you're well!)
We'd Definitely all love to watch that!
Great day with you guys yet again at Mirfield! Thanks for letting us make a mess of your house while we were painting!
What Luke says at the end of the video about the tabletop community is absolutely spot on. Over the last year or two (and especially over lockdown) I've noticed how welcoming and supportive the community is as a whole. It's nice being part of something so wholesome :)
Another great video mate - keep up the good work! :D
I envy your cheery outlook, mate. Meanwhile, my faith in the tabletop community wavered following the Great GW IP-pocalypse and the so-called "mass exodus". Certain "refugees" from "baby's first tabletop wargaming systems" brought their "baggage" with them to other communities like Battletech, and they've become apprehensive of new arrivals since.
I can understand a few staying instead of migrating to relay news from the inside. What irks me is the good chunk of these "exodites" eventually crawling back to their master like a battered wife. What also irks me is "content creators" exclusively riding on the bandwagon to rake in clout.
Now, Warhammer should be considered toxicity containment for tabletop gaming, just like Forknut for video gaming.
So anyway, Gaslands, anyone?
@@Aether759 you sounds like a boring elitist
@@jeancouscous *sigh* You wish. Perhaps one day, you too will tire of "Baby's Firsts". Perhaps you won't.
The fact you bothered to read my little lamentation is good enough for me. Have a nice day.
@@Aether759 No, he's right. Maybe the reason you don't see the community as wholesome is because you're one of the toxic ones. Even your reply to Witcho's comment has an attitude about it.
You might have feel superior because you think you're better and smarter than people who play 'Babies First' but, in reality, you sound like an asshole.
Go back to your gatekeeping and let nicer people get on with having fun.
@@jeancouscous He sounds more like a gatekeeping asshole to me :)
this is just heartwarming, getting a small warband together with the bois. good times, man!
Wow, I can't believe he broke his own rules again. /s
I've been buying miniatures since the 1980s, and Mirfield minis always reminds me of the days of walls of blister packs in gaming shops! You had to have a proper look through the stuff to find what you want, but it's so much more exciting, and enjoyable, than just picking up a box! Great video!!
What a cool shop ! I’d never leave !
This has such wholesome, fun, friendly vibe - found myself smiling along with the whole video.
Amazing! The community is awesome indeed! I love this kind of content, going outside and chilling with mates... It is a refreshing content, once in a while! Thanks Luke 😊
Yesterday I rolled my 1st dice since the pandemic started. Honestly a lovely feeling that hopefully everyone will enjoy soon.
Models aside it is great to be part of a big nerdy community where we all agree the Ultramarines need a good kicking.
x
@JJerem you only hear the voices?
I really dug this collab...great vibe...love to see a round table collab with the 4 of u just talking painting tips, terrain...etc. Great video.
"Yeah I'll have 10 pounds of stuff!"
"£10?"
"10lbs."
Also good to see ya doin a bit better bud, 👌
Most truly happy you've seemed in a video in a while, as someone who suffers from depression its always heartening to see someone on the up!
Keep it going.
-Gofur
Unrelated to the actual content, but your footage is gorgeous. I love the coloring - especially the cool hues with the warm oranges. Actual content: its great seeing you guys back together and painting together. Nice video, cheers!
Grey British weather actually works well for video editing.
Really awesome to see this helping out the community, and ever moreso that is not just the tabletop community, but the community as a whole. Good on you.
Just found the channel. This seems like a great time. Would’ve loved to just see more of you guys hanging out and painting/playing. Thanks for the the video! New subscriber here.
Absolutely love this collaboration! All my favourites in one series. More of this! Great work.
New business venture, self-defense gaming supplies.
Looks like a load of fun guys. Thanks for the vid
Always good to see you hitting up Mirfield, and hearing about what's been happening.
Only just found your channel, but it's already one of my favourites. Glad to find a fellow Yorkshireman with a mini channel!
I'm based in Blackpool now but I'm certainly going to take a pilgrimage to MM for budget Warhammer and the like, thank you!
This is so great to see. Really enjoyed the video and got on chatting with my hobby friends for another hobby hangout. Painting with friends really is great
Loved the collaboration, looking forward to seeing more!
You crushed it, a great vid indeed. Love it, only wish that I lived close to the store. Splendid work to all of you guys.
Awesome vid as always man. Really cool to see people hobby together again. 🤟
I once got the dark imperium death guard half for $30.
I painted it and sold it with the new codex for $270! That will never happen again
Elaboration requested….
@@EmmettF.W. a friend of mine got dark imperium when it came out. He knew I used to play orks but took a break for a few years. For whatever reason he was going to GIVE me the deathguard but I refused and gave him what I had on me at the time. I think he just wanted someone to play with. I wanted to give the dude more money but he’s the flakiest guy I’ve ever met. My friends and I joke that he’s a serial killer or something crazy, and that’s why we can never get ahold of him.
I ran into him almost a year later and offered him more money for the deathguard but he didn’t want it 🤷♂️ eventually I used the money from those deathguard to buy my old orks back from the mate i pawned them to. Weird how it all worked out. To this day, I’ve still never played against his ultramarines because I can’t ever get him to hangout
@@Kid_illithid That story was a whirlwind. Haha
The Lads! Nice one Luke and friends, looked like a fun hangout. I'm working on some gene stealers too recently!
Jazzus. Look at this crew walking up to the game store. What a collection out for collecting Warhammer armies.
Great stuff, Mirfield miniatures looks like a fantastic place and concept. Tyranids look awesome too 😃👍🏼💚
I really enjoyed this video, it's what wargaming should be. Tea, biscuits, jokes and mates. Well done lads brilliant production
Quick tip. You can cross most roads without any form of assistance. You just wait for a clearing, then cross. 😆
This tip is what I call the risk of New York
Great challange definately printing one of those towers, btw this is the barman from madness in york. Thanks again for doing your thing dude :)
I have always wanted to paint Nids in bone, burnt orange, and some yellow/green highlights.
Sounds like a cool scheme!
@@DefaultProphet i have seen some variants of it and I love the way it looks.
Nice video & pure good vibes. Nice one lads 👏🏼
This was such a great collaboration, it needs another sequel!
Great Videos Luke, and thanks for taking the time to chat to me today at Fiasco in Leeds 👍👍👍
Awesome video, love all of the channels and will have to make my way up to mirfield soon.
The hobby needs more of this!
So I've just finished watching 4 videos in a row that have made me increasingly jealous. So your getting the brunt of this one Luke. Screw you guys for making awesome videos and being located close to an awesome hobby shop, run by awesome people!! Only messing, I'm going to cause carnage when I come up there and I can buy things again
I really like your channel ^^. It's very wholesome with a lot of good hobby advice ^^.
Have fun with your new kill team (and welcome to the hivemind)
Looked like four guys paddling in a warm ocean - 'happy' is still a thing!
What a combo of lads!! 💪💪
Standing right next to a crossing button seems like a fun way to spend a day.
Know where I will be going on the weekend :D this shop is brilliant
Really need to visit that shop!! Cracking vid.
"4 guys spend 10 quid" but in fact they spend way more 😂😂😂
That’s what any games about getting together with your mates and having a laugh.
A perfect series of vids for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Sticking the kettle on now 👍🏻
@@GeekGamingScenics Think I’d fold under the pressure mate. I’m not the confident UA-cam celebrity type 🤣
To be honest I started making my vids as I knew no one into the hobby and wasn’t on Facebook at the time, so didn’t have anyone to share or interact with.
Hugely flattered though mate.
For the sponsor, Fates End kind of started the Kickstarter trend. She's nearing the end of her second launch.
We need this kind of store in the colonies.
All of the hobby stores in my area would never even consider what this guy does.
To be able to just buy random bits would be amazing!
these formats are some of my favourites and mirfield is insane value its so good to not be skint buying models and he is such a nice guy to deal with
This looks like fun. Wish we had a shop like this where I live.
This looks like a lot of fun, sure I will pop in when I am in that neck of the woods
Actually visited on Saturday. Added the shop to my half term holiday with the kids. Only a slight detour from holidaying in South Wales up to Mirfield then just got home to Maidenhead.
Great place to visit and the owner is a great guy.
I wish there was a place near me that sold this stuff as cheap, EVERYONE here thinks this stuff is Worth a heck of alot more! You guys are awesome. I'd love to find a store like that. But where I live, well.. Greed has become a problem... THANKS FOR THIS IT LOOKED LIKE SO MUCH FUN!!!
This is fantastic!! Good wholesome fun
I love the intro 'do you want to open especially for us... No we won't be spending much money at all!'
Alright I've just seen what you came out with 😂
haha special Sunday hobby shop openings for youtubers !?! Looks like you guys had a blast. Great video !
Once made an Ork Commando Army with Sponge "Bushes" glued to 25mm bases
Great video, more please just good fun!!
When I move back to the UK, I'll be sure to hit these guys up as often as possible, love the vid!
Great video dude 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Wholesome, mate.
If we had a shop like this in London, I doubt my mortgage would ever get paid 😂
Cool vid, Luke! I wish there was a store like that around me!
I like how you took the 10 Lbs. challenge approach to this while they all spent 10 British Pounds...suckers!
you're right man, i miss the social aspect. ive gotten more painting done than ever before, but no games, no banter..thats always been the best part of these sorts of hobbies
Great video - quite inspiring. There are a lot of aspects of the hobby which are 'solo', such as research, but spending time with likeminded people is the core. Gaming is as much about sharing the experience, where it's just as much fun when you lose as when you win because it's more about who you're with.
I live in Huddersfield so I'll definitely have to pop by Mirfield Miniatures soon!
ace video lads!
You four guy’s are incredible
Came here from Dave’s video. Dig it.
Bunch of youtubers comes in while filming an ad: "here boys, have an affordable deal!"
You enter the same store: "do you believe in Santa Claws as well, laddie?"
Living in Leeds, now I know this place exists I'll be a regular customer
Loving the love for Murfield!
I started slipping the ad and then was like, hangon, this look interesting.
Top effort pal. Would have loved to have seen a battle report of that game!
Thats fun but I thought you were getting ARMIES from the title, lol. 😝
£4? That's nearly a third over! TEN QUID. *TEN!*
Nice to see your last video had such a positive effect on such a cool place. Wish there was somewhere like that near me.
That sounds like a darn good game shop. It would be cool if they put on a kill team tournament were you buy the model there and if you win you get to keep the models for free.
When you realise that some youtubers aren't that far away from where you live 😮, this place is like a 45 min drive from me!
Thats what the hobby is about!
What an awesome place to purchase hobby things! Art thrives.
If there was a shop like this close to me, i'd always be going there
Awesome video
I pass this everyday for work never knew that was there
Great video mate. Looks like you all had a laugh and made some really cool kill teams too. I've missed the social part of the hobby so much and even before covid I didn't really have time with the kids just being born. But I cannot wait for the big meet up next month and finally meet you all in person. I promise I won't be as insufferable as I am on my graveyard walks 😜😂
New variant , so get ready to be told what to do once again . LOLZ wait and see .
the guy inside the barbershop was roleplaying Skyrim
This is just a bits box heaven 😭 I’d love to go!
That shop looks amazing I feel like having a trip down
Love love love. Nice collab.
How do the sprues in the bit boxes work, can you just pop off and buy the bits you need?
Love the concept, can we see some games with the minis you guys buy.
What an awesome idea!
You gents look like the fab 4 carrying their own equipment across the road:) I always wanted to do a cool based nids team, like they first showed in mag.
