Outstanding video thank you it allowed me to get behind my cigarette, lighter and figure out that Best Buy where the last people behind there when they installed the stereo and they kinda left the plug half plugged in meaning no connection, so as I plugged it back in I got my 12V back, thank you! I was about to do this same thing but with a 2000 CLK 320, i almost broke the wooden part around the Shift system (@1:44) it looks like in the CLK it has screws or something, there is no way i can get that out without breaking it
I'm not sure they would use screws on trims like that. I could be wrong though. Usually they snap in with clips/brackets. And yes, they can break if one is not careful. Keep in mind that when a screw is used anywhere in the car, you will always have access to it.
I bought it online but the seller was a Mercedes dealership. You have to be careful buying it online because a lot of sellers will send you the wrong part.
Running into a problem with the cord that plugs into the back of my lighter. It’s so short I cannot get it plugged back in and have it stay plugged in while reinserting the ashtray. I’ve tried a million different ways. Looks like the cord your car has is considerably longer than that in my vehicle, but I can’t get any more slack. Any ideas?
Hi brother, I have same problem on my 2014 E350 specially the cigarette outlet located I the middle of the care (that one behind the middle glovebox), any ideas please how to replace that 12 V outlet? Thank you in advance 👍🏼
Just wanted to let everyone know that you do not need to remove the shifter or the small piece of wood under the shifter. You only need to remove the black plastic square around the small piece of wood and then the large piece of wood holding the window switches. Then you can get to the screws holding the cigarette lighter in place.

Not bad for your first video :)
Did you buy the part from a dealership?

@@automight1615 will do thanks!
What is the name of the Mercedes seller, phone number?
Thanks
Nice sir.
You made that look simple.

Got the wrong part. What is that part # please. Where can you buy the little bulb.
I bought it at autozone. It's a little tiny bulb in pair for under $6. Remove your old bulb first and compare it
The part number is 2108200153. I do apologize for the late response but the part number can be seen in the video.

It's hard to follow written instructions. It's a good idea to make a video to show people how to do it.
