I am in the process of installing one in my 2000 E430 - flip screen one. I did buy the adaptor - I must say that the other wires you saw, one was for PHONE, other one was for steering controls etc.. it looks like your car did not have steering wheel control - also my after-market unit is different, it has audio left and right and video left and right, antenna, backup camera, and CVBS input (which I do not what it means yet) - so if you want to take advantage of your bose amp and all the lovely speaker systems, you do not need to use the LOC and I am using the PAC Lp7-4 - not sure when I will succeed, but the old head unit is an exact match to what your was.
mine has alarm trigger when stereo is removed any idea how to fix that? on benz forum i was told its fixed by simple wiring but waiting on how to do the said simple wiring
The harness from Metra ? It should. You're going to connect the wires from that Metra harness to the harness that your aftermarket radio comes with. That way you dont cut any of your stock radio wires.
Talking about the speakers on the dashboard ? And i got the 175BT on Amazon. Alpine CDE-175BT, Single-Din CD Car Stereo W/Bluetooth, USB & Auxiliary Input (Replaces CDE-163BT) a.co/d/39lzNDU

Would the Alpine UTE-73BT fit as well via best buy or amazon? I have a 1997 C280. I think it would. I have all the wires just do not know which stereo to get. The one you have is kind of pricey. Would you know the difference? Thanks.
@@ByronRamos_ thanks for the video. I ordered all the wires you recommended. I believe Amazon sold them as a bundle actually. So I got that there. And I went with the cheaper UTE-73BT for my 97 C280 and it worked perfectly. It fit nicely and maybe had to use a little bit of force. For the butt connects most of them are 18-22 except for the black and yellow cables. I used 14 I believe. Just a head up for anyone.
@@yoyo-cloneshey! I had the same idea as you to purchase a 73BT. I bought it and wired everything up correctly and have no blown fuses, but the radio is getting no power, did you run into this problem? What was that black and yellow wiring problem you mentioned? Could it be something to do with that? If you read this thank u so much I just can’t find any information on this
@@MDX. @yoyo-clones did y'all figure out the power issues? I'm about to install the same radio - curious if I can just use the harness or if I'll need to tap into another power source (like the cigarette lighter). I'm hoping to NOT have to do that, because I don't really know what i'm doing here lol
I got an alpine radio too for my 99 e320 but it says my preouts are 2V. Will I need to use the channel line output converter? Or should I give it a shot and do it your way
Nice video, Stressed me out with that “AHM” tho😂

How did it power on? Got all the same part numbers for mine, but found the Mercedes wire harness has no power wire.
Hi I did this but I get no sound from the right side after installing the radio. Any suggestions?
My bad for the late reply. Did you had sound on the right side before the radio install ?
Do steering wheel controls still work?
Hello, so are you still powering and using the amp in the way that you did this, or did you bypass it?
@@DanielGutierrez-zu9fv Right before my dad got rid of the car, it was still working just like i installed it in this video.
@ thanks
Very helpful. I have the same car.
I did same on my 1995 w124 but volume so low now can you help maybe because wires not attached to the amplifier?
I have the same model Benz but that radio head unit is too expensive for my budget, would that connector harness work with another unit??

Aye boss what about the tweeter speakers do those work with the harness? Also where did u order the alpine 175BT?

It looks like it has the same dimensions from one that i installed.
So you should be good. 👌

Is everything working? Oldest speakers and is the stock subwoofer working?

Not sure if 2V would be enough but i would still say give it a shot and try my way. Let me know how it goes.
My radio doesn't turn off when I turn my car off which wire is that ?
Switch A4 & A7 wires. You'll be golden.
Can it be any kind of Bluetooth radio ? Personally don’t want to go drop 300$ for that one I have a 02 e320 I bought with no radio in it btw
Should be able to. Aslong as the preouts of the aftermarket radio are 4volts.
I like the original better
