Fun fact: the novel "Old Yeller" had a sequel, and Disney made a movie of that one too. It's called "Savage Sam", and features the son we never knew Yeller had.
I've never tried any of those, but man! That blacked out burger looks in no way appetizing whatsoever! As for the "arrow" shaped cereal... you're not fooling anybody dude, those are NOT arrows!!! Thanks for sharing, sweet Laura! Stay safe! XXXOOO
Your VO easily makes this so professional that often forget that I’m watching a UA-cam video and not an award winning documentary or news network report. Great work on both the VO, script, and edit 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I remember my mom freaking out and slapping the Turtle Pie from my hands because she thought it was covered in mold, rather than connecting the food coloring is associated with the Ninja Turtles. She thought it was just a regular fruit pie with a sticker inside, lol. Great memory as a kid.
I have the complete set of Addams Family cereal flashlights that came out with the 90's movie. It was also made by the Ralston Purina company. The flashlights are cheap, but they are great little figurines to put on display. You don't find cool stuff like that in cereals anymore.
Your narrating voice is most excellent! The "I like turtles" kid is from my hometown lol. Also that made want to watch Secret of the Ooze now. Thanks for the vid, kid!
I think the black burger actually looks pretty cool. They did a similar thing while promoting the recent Venom movie, using black buns with dyed white eyes and a big slice of bacon for the tongue. Pretty well designed haha
Wow, memory you just took me down memory lane. I had a girlfriend in 4th grade named Jenny. She brought me one of these turtle pies every day at lunch! They were the most delicious pie I have ever had. I still want those pis to return. Thanks for this video!!
Great vid Laura! The TMNT turtle pies were sooooo good, lol! I think I ate those right until they stopped making them, lol. As big a fan of wrestling as I was i never got to try the ice cream bars but man, did I want too. Didn't know they had a new one out. Now I have a goal for the weekend, lol.
The burger with the black bun, burger king here in the states also had that, it came out at around Halloween time good 4 to 6 years ago . The very next day the black Dye make my S#it a neon green color which scared the hell out of me and I never had one of those burgers again.
Gareth Mapp REALLY!? Because when we had it in the us it was around Halloween so that that's interesting also I tried that burger taste like a regular burger 🍔
Venom happened to release in October as well in the UK, so they likely combined it, It didn't last long due to some weird side effect from the Black colouring.
@aymimi and in NC, there was hilarious news reports of that black food coloring turning people's crap bright green, LOL. Didn't mix with the body well.
The WWF Ice Cream bar we soooooooooooo damn good. I wasn’t even a fan at the time the 1st came out and that’s what I got at the ice cream truck. The new ones are not the same.
Glad the Old Yeller dog food made the list. I saw it at the store once and now I have proof that it wasn't just some demented fever dream when I tell people about it.
Here in the UK, we had black Whoppers in Burger King for a brief time around Halloween. It was a few years back, where we had them for about two years on the trot. I tried one. It was decent but the texture of the bun was kinda weird.
I did eat several boxes of the Bill and Ted cereal. I also enjoyed WAY too many of the Ninja Turtle pies...But hay, at that time I was living on a very small budget and Ninja Turtle pies and Totino's pizza was my main diet. Good Stuff!
I love these type of videos. Please keep em coming. I miss all the 90s and early 2000 snacks and cereals. Does anyone remember the Vitamin King cereal? I use to love it!!
Yea those burgers trip me out. I cant eat oddly colored food like when they do the tortilla chips in colors for holidays or colored breads, it just freaks me out lmao. The WWF sandwiches I remember from the ice cream guy when I was a kid and the turtle pies look like pastry jalapeño poppers lol
I don't know. I loved the Turtle Pies, but I've recently tried the "Better Recipe" Hostess Apple Pies. They were absolutely terrible, and I'm not sure if Hostess could get the Turtle Pie taste right today.
@Trump4Prison2021 exactly. I literally just went to my local Walgreens and picked up a few which were literally $0.50 each. And yeah as much as I loved the turtles back then and the pie; as an adult now I see how much the turtles logo was only used to sell to kids. So yeah I was a stupid kid back then and I'll admit it.
Funny, I was always a Hostess pie fan, my favorites being the Berry, Cherry and because they weren't always available Vanilla Pudding. I never saw this particular variety here in the NE US, I would have noticed. They looked gooood, ha ha. Love your vids, funny and interesting stuff.
The oddest movie food from 2020 was Sonic The Hedgehog. Most assume there be a Sonic Fast Food chili dog tie in but instead Jack In The Box got the Blue Blur with mini tacos. Meanwhile in the Sonic movie, The Olive Garden keeps getting name dropped. Happy Belated Birthday Laura. I've sent you a gift but I wasn't able to mail it till June 29 so it'll arrive way late.
I remember being a kid when the Yu-Gi-Oh cereal came out. The cereal was small triangle pieces meant to resemble the Yugi's Millennium Puzzle but they called it a medallion on the box. I remember that mistake made me and my friends pretty confused and upset. Didn't stop me from eating several boxes of that stuff though lol
Happy Canada Day to you my lovely friend! Just thought that I'd wish that for you, even though I don't live in Canada. I hope that you had a great birthday, and celebrated it well. I sent you a card and hope that it makes its way to your PO Box. Hope that you got my messages and birthday greetings as well. This was a perfect topic to do a video on, considering that a lot of these products were either a hit or miss. Speaking of "Bill and Ted", my brother and I are watching the first film as I am watching your video. I remember those WWF ice cream bars and how popular they were back when I was a big fan. Never had them. This was very interesting video to watch, and your editing and your research on this video is quite impressive. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for the work that you managed to put towards this and all of your videos. I am hanging in there as we speak, and still hurting from my nephew's loss. Anyways, enjoy the rest of your week my friend and be well and stay safe out there, kiddo. Take care.
I don't know about Canada but here in the UK, they stopped having 'Free Inside' stuff within the cereal boxes. As a child, my mum would quite happily leave me and my brother at the cereal aisle in Tesco's to pick and choose which cereal we wanted whilst she went around the store. It was one of our favorite things to do whilst she did all the 'boring' stuff (ie. the essentials!) There was so much of an array of 'Free Inside' stuff on display that sometimes mother would have finished before we had even settled on something! My favourite offer were the Doctor Who collector's cards and game backs that came inside Weetabix during 1977. I was 6 at the time and treasured them so much that I still have them to this day. Took a while to get'em all. And to this day, I still feel guilty for putting two Weetabix bricks in the bin just so we could get through a pack quicker. Sorry, Mum 😞 Here's the promo ad for it ua-cam.com/video/xrC8V79Ob2Y/v-deo.html Also, check out this 'Cereal Mad' channel for a taste of some of the stuff we had in the UK, showcasing the film, TV, Disney tie-ins ua-cam.com/channels/-TFYluDA5gnaHaAlHqoMDw.html
I remember having the Ninja Turtles pies (i also remember the chocolate covered regular version) and the WWF ice cream bars, which were pretty good... Never got to try the Bill and Ted cereal (looks like I didn't miss much) but most of the rest was news to me... :D Happy Canada from the US
Really interesting list! The Vader poptarts, Old yeller dogfood, and little mermaid fish sticks-morbid much!! 😮But, I would love to have a phone booth in my bedroom.
I use to get the WWF ice cream bars from the ice cream man my senior year of HS. I wish I still had all the cut outs from the packaging. He knew I was collecting them and use to sit outside my house for like 10 mins. Use to piss my mother off so much. Haha. The new bars lacking the chocolate shell just isn't the same.
I remember like almost all these that you went over besides old yeller dog food didn't know they done but I do mostly remember the Ninja turtles love that food when I was younger
Aside from being a Laura Legends video, i clicked because I saw the WWF ice cream bar. The chocolate was the best part and I'm disappointed that the new ones today don't have it.
I know i ate that TMNT pie. But i don't remember it being green. Wishing i saved the wrapper right now. But i ate a lot of weird 90s food and probably didnt think anything of its color. Just pure sugar
What a funny video to wake up to! 😂😂😂 Thanks Laura! Some pretty out there food! I don't think we got any of these in the UK...(maybe a good thing?) Most of our tie-in film food is just putting the character on the packaging...lazy.
I loved those ninja turtle pies. The extra glaze really made it so much better than their normal pies.

I remember as a child, being extremely excited and insisting on Turtles Pies at several gas station visits, followed by revulsion and disappointment every time.
Noo Im so sad I never had one of those turtle pies. They look so delicious! I remember those commercials for the ice cream bars tho, they always seemed so aggressive lol. I remember the dog food too but I never bought any. That prince of thieves cereal is great lol wow.
I have had the tmnt pies when I was a kid. And even the gummed were good too. And I remember the wwf bars too. They were cool like some of the good humor ice cream I got to eat as a kid in NYC.
Here in the UK, McDonalds did a Ghostbusters tie-in. I remember I had a 'Ghost in a can'. It was just an empty drinks can with the Ghostbusters logo on it, but I opened it one day just to see if there really was a ghost in it! I wish I had kept it now... I bet it would be worth a fair bit! 🤔
Have you tried any of these??
No definately
Never but I've had Rice with ribs since dinner today.
Def remember the wwf ice cream bars. Not that good but I was into anything wwf
I wanted to try those WWF ice cream bars. The only way you could eat "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan.
Those wrestling ice cream bars were like gold to me as a kid
I loved the turtle pies. We used to have a hostess outlet store near us growing up
Those Turtle pies!! I loved those.
And I remember those WWF Ice Cream bars but can't remember eating them...
1:56 I remember eating those delicious TMNT pies even after 2 decades.
I remember quite a few of these. Those burgers freaked me out back in the day. Would love those turtle pies though!!
The pies were really good at least i thought they were.
they were soooo good. The package in the video says they came with trading cards, but I remember stickers or tattoos
No you wouldn't. At least for me, they really weren't that good. Maybe that was just me.
@@drrocketman7794 I remember them being quite nasty, I could never finish them yet I couldn't stop buying
"Old Yeller" dog food may have killed dogs that ate it?
Well, at least it's true to the source material.
Stay safe! XXXOOO
"Doesn't your dog deserve Old Yeller?" Maybe if it's rabid.

That old yeller dog food is a BANG for your best bud....
I'm depressed now, great.
I think the black burger actually looks pretty cool. They did a similar thing while promoting the recent Venom movie, using black buns with dyed white eyes and a big slice of bacon for the tongue. Pretty well designed haha

This is a heartwarming comment. Thanks for making me smile.

I loved those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle pies!!! I would definitely buy them again, if they ever rereleased this.
The turtles pies were good lol.. there was a chocolate icing version too I ate them to .
Fun fact: the black burger made an appearance in the UK as a tie-in with the Venom movie

Laura I appreciate your videos. I find them calming in these crazy times. You, Dante and Muffin are the cutest.
I remember eating the turtle pies.. they were good! I think I still have some of the stickers lol!
I loved those TMNT pies! I'd get 4 for $1 at a liquor store by my favorite arcades in San Francisco. Thanks for sharing!
"But you're still coming to work, right?" 😂
How would you know if the 🐢pie had gone bad?
Its Hostess, their stuff never goes bad.
@@truefanforum3273 Good point. Their shelf life should last for at least another 973 years.
Those turtles pies were soo good. lol I remember my little brother didnt eat his and i would eat it cuz he didn't want it 🤣
Laura, how soon can you start a sequel to this? I just remembered C3POs cereal, and someone else mentioned the Ghostbusters Ecto Cooler drink... 😀
C-3POs Cereal definitely. ♾
Ben Trimble. I am surprised that C3PO's cereal didn't make this list with all of the rest of the "Star Wars" related food products.
Ecto Cooler was my favorite. Also they had Ghostbuster Ice Cream bars too.
Who else remembers Mr.T & Batman cereals? lol
I loved & miss the Ecto Cooler drinks!!
Glad the Old Yeller dog food made the list. I saw it at the store once and now I have proof that it wasn't just some demented fever dream when I tell people about it.

Absolutely awesome stuff!
The turtle pies were amazing!! I wish I could find a vanilla pie these days. So much better than chocolate and apple.
Duuuuuude! Those Turtle pies.....i remember losing my mind for those! They were seriously good.
well done Laura, that sure brought back some memories....
Lmao! I think I died for a minute when u started talking about the prince of thieves cereal! 🤣🤣
you are a breath of fresh air ,we need that right now, stay legendary.
I ate those turtle pies when I was a kid....I think they missed a marketing opportunity...Fill them with Rum, and call them Secret of the Booze.
And then when the extra treat is discontinued, rebrand them with Jack Sparrow. "BUT WHY IS THE RUM GONE?!"
And when they can't put it in the pies anymore, they can put it in ham, and switch to an "Always Sunny" tie-in.
YES!!!!! Thank you for including the ice cream line from Punk's promo in the video 😁
LMFAO you killed me with those fish nuggets 😂💀
I did eat several boxes of the Bill and Ted cereal. I also enjoyed WAY too many of the Ninja Turtle pies...But hay, at that time I was living on a very small budget and Ninja Turtle pies and Totino's pizza was my main diet. Good Stuff!
I was hooked on those Ninja turtle pies. It was like green crack!
Damn straight !! They were wicked awesome, and I was "growed up" too.
Those with ecto cooler
Spiderman spaghetti shapes in tomato sauce were my go-to swag as a kid.
I love these type of videos. Please keep em coming. I miss all the 90s and early 2000 snacks and cereals. Does anyone remember the Vitamin King cereal? I use to love it!!

I don't know. I loved the Turtle Pies, but I've recently tried the "Better Recipe" Hostess Apple Pies. They were absolutely terrible, and I'm not sure if Hostess could get the Turtle Pie taste right today.

I’ve had the ice cream bars and tried the turtle pies. I’m not a huge fan of vanilla pudding, so I only ever had one.

Those WWE ice cream bars were a staple of my childhood. The new Good Humor ones are a good attempt but just not the same.
I enjoyed the turtle pies when i was a kid they where my favorite pie at the time

The WWF ice cream bars are the best ice cream bars ever. I wish we still had them today.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED the tmnt pies...i even had the belt buckle
Hi Laura another great clip. Wow I ddnt know those wrestling ice cream biscuits were in production for so long

I almost OD'd on Ninja turtle pies as a kid. I didn't care about the show but those pies were awesome!
Great video! I'd love to see a part two!
Really interesting list! The Vader poptarts, Old yeller dogfood, and little mermaid fish sticks-morbid much!! 😮But, I would love to have a phone booth in my bedroom.
Damn Laura! Back at it again with the killer content! I love these types of vids you do! 🔥🔥😺
I heard they are going to be closing the mall here in arizona where the mall scene was filmed in bill and ted's excellent adventure..
TMNT Pies were goddamn amazing. I weep a manly tear remembering them.
I use to get the WWF ice cream bars from the ice cream man my senior year of HS. I wish I still had all the cut outs from the packaging. We have those black burgers around Halloween time at Burger King.
Those Star Wars pop-tarts turned your poop bright red. It was a little alarming when I first at one haha
Great video idea Laura , you keep coming up with some interesting videos 👍🏻🍻

Kroger had several Disney themed things. I remember Lion King cat litter.
I honestly forgot about all of them
But now I looked them up and I am on a nostalgia trip
The turtle pies were the shit. I loved them when I was a kid.
Those WWF ice cream bars were a must have every time the ice cream truck was on our block.
Dante:-Mom! I want old yeller dog food! Laura:-😱🦮
I really want to eat the Gremlins cereal after midnight, just to see what happens.
I remember liking the Prince of Thieves cereal. They had the little green sugar crystals in them.
I loved those ninja turtle pies. The extra glaze really made it so much better than their normal pies.
I remember as a child, being extremely excited and insisting on Turtles Pies at several gas station visits, followed by revulsion and disappointment every time.

Dude, I remember those pies! I couldn't remember if the stickers came in regular homerun pies or a special pie. Now i knowwwwww.
Laura thanks for the great content WE LOVE YOUUUUUU
Happy Canadian Day to you. What I remember growing up was eating Mr. T's and I think had the turtle 🥧 once. and WWF icebar once.
those turtle pies look amazing!!! *drool, drool*
I have had the tmnt pies when I was a kid. And even the gummed were good too. And I remember the wwf bars too. They were cool like some of the good humor ice cream I got to eat as a kid in NYC.
