- Join Jay as explores an often overlooked part of Ghostbusters Toy History. Argentinian toy maker Jocsa kept the Real Ghostbusters toyline alive after Kenner stopped producing RGB figures in 1991. In 1992 Jocsa brought back a lot of favorites from the Kenner releases, and did some new things, like these variants of the "Slimed Heroes". These were fully licensed figures from Kenner, Columbia Pictures and are often mistaken for bootlegs. I've wanted these figures for over 20 years, are they worth the wait?
That's awesome. These figs look so cool
Jocsa was a licensed Kenner company in South America. So all their toys from all lines are "canon", just not done nearly as well as the toys werent put together in china, they simply made them in Argentina
Well, ding-dang. I knew about Jocsa but I had *no* idea the line was as extensive as it was. Nice find, Matt!
Fun Fact: Jocsa's Ecto-1 never had issues with the yellowing plastic, since Jocsa didn't use the Fire Retardant additive, added on the Plastics in the 80s Kenner's Toys.
That's a really neat fact!
“Más Malo” (The Baddest)? OMG! That’s absolutely hilarious 😂😂😂
It's always interesting to see licensed figures by other brands! Be it Plastirama, Estrela, or GIG licensing Hasbro products back in the day. I had never heard of Jocsa before as an official brand. These are pretty neat...
I'm from Argentina and I had never heard of that collection? 🤨
Fantastic video J! 👻
Thank you!
Always cool to find variants, Kenner licensed its moulds to a lot of foreign companies alright.
Awesome video! Would love to get my hands on these!
Oh wow, very cool! Never knew about these. Egon looks cool in the Ecto-1 colors! Too bad Matt didn't find Ray to complete them. But nice find. :)
Winston doing his impression of Forest Whitaker! ;P
💯
Where were you able to find information on Jocsa? I can't find anything online about them and I'm doing so research on a few of their toys.
So are these expensive to buy on the aftermarket?
Cool 😎
I thought that was a cherry tomato hanging from the wand
Those are neat to see! I would just leave Winston alone instead of trying to touch him up.
Yeah I think I will leave it be as well.
My sister was lucky I didn't have these versions of the proton packs in the '80s. I like to think that Kobra Khan was the bane of her existence. 😀
These versions looked decent
I have a sealed Jocsa Ecto 1-A. Bought it for $150 back in 2000. I'm planning on getting rid of it.
Whew, Im sure you'll be asking a pretty penny
when are you going to ad the Spook Chasers figures to your collection?
Man those are sooooo expensive, I think i'd have to find them somewhere in the wild.
That Winston looks like Forrest Whitaker.
Had u find the monster lik muncher bootleg
I like your videos but I don't really like Ghostbusters that much but I hope you're having a happy year and a happy week.
Thanks for liking my comment and again I hope you have a happy year and a happy week.
Haha “el mas malo “ is “the most bad” just because sounds like marshmallow phonetically
I know! So much to love lol
Love me some water sports action 💦😜👻
The toy department? That wouldn't happen to be the store in Fairfield Ohio would it? Cause I go to that store all the time.
I believe so!
Yes Fairfield OH
Yes indeed
I hope hasbro reissues them.
