Thanks Matthew. Recently somebody discovered for me this Schubert's piece executed privately by piano and viola. I was so touched and mesmerized that tried to sing together (I had the single text in German without notes). It was difficult, but now I have your piano help to continue my amateurish discovery. By the way I was later delighted to discover that the text by Rückert (Easter Roses) was inspired by Goethe's "West-östlichem Diwan"! What a spiritual deepness behind a piece that at first sounds like simple melancholy.

Thank you too for your enthusiasm. It is an amazingly delicate piece - extremely difficult to make it sound effortless, but wonderful nonetheless. I didn't know about the Goethe inspiration, so that's wonderful to learn.
