    Thanks for the video.
    Your 1910 looks to be in great shape! I have one with front wheel assist and a loader. My loader hydraulics gets frozen up in colder weather, and i was wondering if there’s moisture in my hydraulic fluid. I wish there was a winter additive, but I’m guessing it needs the fluid changed.

    Right there next to where you put the fluid in there's a vertical pull rod! what the heck is it for? please let me know! Thanks!

    • @PatrioticRottweiler
      @PatrioticRottweiler  8 місяців тому

      That pull rod is used to lock the brakes…. To lock the brakes you would press on the brake pedals with your foot and then with your hand pull up on the pull rod. That pull rod is connected to a small metal lever that engages in a tooth section on the brake thereby locking the brakes with your desired amount of force. To release the brakes you just press down on the brakes with your foot and push the rod down so that the lever is no longer engaged in the tooth. I don’t use this very often but I hoped this info helped you.

      @@PatrioticRottweiler Thank you very much for that info! I bought it from my neighbor for 1 dollar! it's a 1986 1510 ford the reason for a buck it blew a rod I patched the small hole on the block replaced the rod and piston had to pull the engine for this but the reason I'm telling you all this is because now I don't know where to adjust the rpm bolt for the governor it's located under the alternator it has a spring on it! do you know? the engine is a Shibaura k773

    • @PatrioticRottweiler
      @PatrioticRottweiler  8 місяців тому

      The hydraulic fluid I used for my tractor is: Tractor Supply Traveller Premium Universal Tractor Transmission/Hydraulic Fluid 7.4 gallons.
      I don’t know about your model tractor or how to adjust the rpm governor but I would guess that adjustment would be done somewhere on the Fuel Injection Pump. I’m no expert tractor mechanic. I’m just a guy who tries to maintain my equipment as much as I can. Good luck to you on your tractor journey.

      Make sure to watch the other two videos I did on this tractor. I only do these videos for two reasons, 1) to help me remember how to do the maintenance the next time I need to and 2) to help other people work on their own tractors.
      Good luck on yours. And let me know if you have any questions.

    hello Patriotic the knob on front of seat is called transportation lock ,it locks hydraulics in 3 point lift from draining while moving thx

    • @travisschuhmacher7584
      @travisschuhmacher7584 6 місяців тому

      Actually Ford calls it the “Flow Control Valve” and does exactly what he states in the video. It does however stop the 3 point from lowering when tightened completely. Thanks

    Thanks for the very helpful video. I was waiting on a service manual to make sure I know all the correct drain ports, but, also trying to figure out how water is getting in the system. You mentioned that your fluid was milky as well. Did you find any source for the water contamination? I could only guess that it was maybe getting in at the breather.

    • @PatrioticRottweiler
      @PatrioticRottweiler  4 роки тому

      Kevin Danahy no I didn’t. I assume that the fluid had never been changed. Before this tractor came to my property it used to sit out in the weather all the time (now it’s in a carport).

    Great video, I have bigger brother the 2110. Great little tractor, I’m changing my oil and hydraulic filter this weekend. Mine uses the same filters, glad you showed the part numbers. I ordered off amazon, saved me about $ 45.
    What hydraulic fluid did you end up using? I’m thinking of using the TSC Traveller Renew.

      This one is a 1986 Ford Model 1910 which was made in Japan. It was given to my wife’s family decades ago and it is now ours.
      The tractor still runs and works great. In fact, I just used it last week to bush hog my field which is this tractors main function on my property.

    Thanks for making these videos. I just picked up a 1910 in great shape and your how-to videos are really helping me. Quick question though...that swing-out front bumper is awesome. Is it a farm modification or do you think that’s an item I could source online? If nothing else, would love a short vid or pics up close of the hinge part.
    Thanks again!

    • @PatrioticRottweiler
      @PatrioticRottweiler  4 роки тому

      Jim Brad I’m so sorry, I don’t know how I missed your question. The front grill was already on the tractor when it came to me. From the looks of it I believe that it is OEM, though I can’t be sure. It doesn’t have any labels or part numbers. It has a bolt on one side (to act as a hinge) and a 1/2” pin on the other. To open the hood, I remove the 1/2” pin and swing the grill away from the front of the tractor so that the hood will have clearance to open fully.

      Thanks very much for the reply. No worries that it was late. Actually decided to add a bucket to the front end of mine (used one from PA) and the bumper you have would not have worked with that attached. I am very much enjoying this tough little tractor and hope you continue to do great videos of your repairs and maintenance. Thanks again for circling back with me. First time I've ever left a comment on a video. I'm a Luddite.

      Brian Perendy I would agree about not running out of fuel. Check out my video on removing the fuel tank. Replacing the tank or fuel filter does cause the lines to need to be purged but I’ve found that it doesn’t take very long (10 minutes) but maybe I’ve been lucky.
