Thank you , I have a 3610 with a Ford 776 Loader , just got it from a guy whose dad bought it new .I m about to take on the full service . This was very helpful
My dad had a 4610 that was the second tractor I learned to drive and to make hay with great tractor but I miss the farm ,farm was sold about 12 years ago.
Very Clean tractor. Good video. One improvement would be to Take a air hose or rag and clean the area around the fluid fill areas. keeping contaminants out of the hydraulic system is just as important as the quality of the oil.
Thank you for your video, as it was very helpful. I cannot find a good video on maintenence of a Ford 2000. It looks similar to the 4610. Are the oil outlets and fill caps similar? If not, what advice can you give me for proper maintenance
There are separate drain plugs for the transmission and the rear end correct? But the fill for the transmission is on top of the rear end? I am asking be because I have an older tractor than your, a 1970 something 420. However it looks very similar to yours. My transmission fluid is fine but I want to check the rear end fluid. I am not sure where to check. I bought a user manual for it on eBay but the photos in it are poor quality black and many details are nearly impossible to see (I remember that from old car repair manuals. I always preferred drawings over photos).
Great tutorial!! I need your help with my 4610 & identifying a filter. I think it is for the 7209 front end loader. If you could help that would be awesome!!
Although my original owners manual for the 4610 shows a dipstick for checking the differential fluid level on the drivers side of the differential, near the PTO engage lever, my 4610 does not have one. It is not missing, it never had one from the factory. The manual offers no other way to check the level other than drain and refill. Somewhere I thought there was a level check port, like on the side of the transmission, that when the plug was removed, the differential was full when fluid dribbled out. Did you use a port to determine the full level, or did you simply drain till dry, and then refill with the specified capacity? I must say your tractor looks great, whomever painted it did a terrific job. Thanks, Tom
I don’t believe that there is a level check port for the differential. Mine has the dipstick tube, however, it is missing the dipstick. Replacements online are used and about $50, so I just looked up the capacity online and kept track of the amount of fluid I was putting in. Hope this helps!
Late to the conversation...but my 4610 does have a "check level port". On mine it's about a 3/8 square plug (similar looking to a pipe plug). Location is close to where your right heel would be while sitting on the tractor. Remove that plug and fill from the top (like this video suggests) until fluid runs out the port, then reinstall the plug.
You can never be late to this type of conversation. I have an older tractor, a 420, and was looking for that information. All these tractors are very similar, so I am going to take a look at mine again, using information you've provided.
Is the max oil level for transmission the screw sticking out at 2:06 in the video, just over where is says DB? Or is it on the left side at 1:05, just above the brown/bronze wire? I know you have a dipstick right by the fill plug, but mine one only has a fill plug. My 4610 has a cabin and loader, so it's a bit different.
Nice Video. I have a 1990 2810 that I am changing fluids on. Does it take 12 gallons total, or 12 in just the rear end hydraulics? I think the back and the transmission are connected and use the same fluid. Do you know if this is correct? thanks.
So what do i do if i can't get all the 7.5 gallons out ? Why is it so milky? Is it fluid? How did milk get in there ? Why don't they make it anymore and how to turbo it to make it cut faster ? Thanks again
Ever had a problem with hydraulic oil leaking out of the transmission fill plug. My ford3910 starts leaking out after about an hour of use. My fluids are not over full neither

Beautiful piece of machine you got there!! I have one just like it!!
Thank you. I have a 4600SU and was looking around at info on the changing of hydraulics fluids. Now I just have to budget for 3 of the VP's :)
They’re certainly not cheap, haha.
Ford is gold ✨
Fabulous job! ❤️

A filter for a front end loader? Can’t say I’ve ever heard of that.
I have a 1988 ford 4610 just like yours

I believe the full bolt is located where you first mentioned, right over the “DB”.
@@usa_dobson8967 Yeah, makes most sense it's there. Thanks
How to check the differential oil
I’m loosing steering fluid and gaining engine oil. Is there a possibility it’s leaking in the engine somehow

Appreciate the video... Ive got a 90model 4610. Can you tell me how to check the hydrologic fluid level of the tractor?? Thank you.
Should be dipstick on the back of the tractor to the bottom left of seat.
FORD IS GOLD 💪👌👍 SIMPLY THE BEST 💪👍❤️
The Euro models have headlamps in the nose cone/ front grill. What is this like to drive at night..??
Currently the lights on ours do not work, I believe it to be an issue with the pull switch.

Probably got water in it from being out in the rain. That happened to my 4610
Condensation, whe hot meets cold it sweats
thank you

Hmmm interesting.. no, luckily I’ve never had that issue.
Maybe put some yellow Teflon tape around the threads?
Very nice 👌 and How Much price
$13,000 USD with a front end loader
Where is the transmission oil dipstick located at
@@LokisJin07 it literally says it 40 seconds into the video
@@usa_dobson8967
Thanks I was watching the video and trying to explain it to my husband on phone. I just sent him the video, thank you 🙏🏼
Love yr 4610. Is it for sale?
No sir not currently.
Oh a tractor. Cool
TRACTOR BLOW BLACK SMOKE
How do you refill the transmission
0:36 to the left of the dipstick I show.
Do you run the same fluid in the transmission and the hydraulic reservoir?
Yes
@@usa_dobson8967 Found this video for a second time. Very helpful. Thank you
Ford is 🔥hot
You didn't show we're you put oil in
If you can’t find that yourself then you don’t need to drive a tractor.
Is the transmission fluid different from the hydraulic fluid?
I have a Ford diesel 3600 tractor.
Same stuff
Hi do you want sale it??
Is it for sale or could be up for sale?
No sir
Hello
Hi
What oil do you use in the transmision?
It is shown in the video… VP Racing Ultra J20A Utility Tractor Fluid
Both the transmission, and the rear differential/hydraulic system take this same oil.
Please Answer my question

No oil bath air filter on this model.
Should of bought a Chevy *spits
A Chevy tractor would definitely be something hahaha
