Your running exactly the same times my bone stock 2020 3.5 maxtow 3.5 lariat did. 8m honestly surprised it wasn’t in the 5.7 to 60 range and 13.8 in the quarter mile. As it sits I’d still nip you with my beater car 22 rav4 prime…Love that you took Dad fir a ride and you hang w him, do it every chance you get,my Dad was same way super cool loved being w him,I miss him every day .
level it up - powder coat the rims satin black - chrome the caps - put 37's on em - upgrade the shocks & skid plate the underside! then when you 'Whipple' it you'll be good to go for the BAJA 1000! Scare the Raptor... Outperform the TRX!
You might want to talk to the dealer and see if they still offer the fp700 package. I believe it's a Roush supercharger and still has the factory warranty. Also, a muffler delete sounds good with the resonators and cats.
Forget the tint, forget the graphics. Go for lightness. Replace the wheels and tires with lighter alloys, also drop an inch or two in tire diameter to effectively shorten your rear gear ratio. You have a ton of gears so you’ve got top end to spare. See what happens. You can drop the cat back stuff and maybe save 50 to 100 pounds. you might knock 2 or 3 tenths of your time. Oh, by the way. I am definitely NOT buying you truck when it comes up for sale!😂
Ford trucks are very powerful, my friend has a 1995 with a Winsor engine, that thing gets up to 60mph in about 7.2. Seconds, with the truck weighing about 6500 lbs
15 years ago Hemi work trucks were also able to get into the 13s with just prep. Those were metal trucks with "slow 5 speeds". With all the vids on Ford's needing new engines, these are just really expensive toys like they've always been. And building an engine that's gonna need replaced in 10,000 miles isn't realistic. @beastbee0118 thats fair. I mean we all don't like the same thing. I think that the 21-23 is the best looking since some of the best 60s and 70s. And the 24 is the worst of the worst from the front. Alot of folks really like the 18-20, me not really but better than the 24. I am still trying to figure out how this was so freaking slow. His previous Supercrew stock would stomp it. Being a Ford F150 guy, I was embarrassed by how slow it ran. Still scratching my head.
Good question. I think they were forced to come out with change and nobody had any ideas so they just threw this together at the last minute and said let’s just keep are fingers crossed somebody will like it. I’m glad I got mine in 21 because I like it way better!!
I wish Ford would have used this truck configuration (short WB 4x4) as the basis for the new big Bronco. A back seat with camper top - raised a few inches with all terrain tires - with spare on the tailgate and some cool paint and graphics - those were great looking trucks

I thought the RCSB with V8 would actually be quicker than that (0-60 in 6.14) but thats still fast. Are you running that thing in a higher elevation because if so then maybe thats why. Very cool video and well done.

My truck be in July 8th and Roush Supercharger comes in 2 weeks . I can’t wait . Going to supercharge it , exhaust and lowering it and wheels and tires and that’s about it other then painting the bumpers white . Should be a fun truck but I bet I explode the ten speed lol

@@briandyck3115 On a brand new vehicle, after doing it...I do think it needs to be done. I changed mine at 5000k under normal driving. Both diffs and transfer case were so full of metal dust that the fluids were grey with it and the magnets on the drain plugs were so full that they weren't collecting any more metal. (2019 Ranger). The build quality of todays components and lack of quality of OEM fluids adds to the importance of more diligent routine maintenance. Those pulls likely put 5000k worth of 'normal driving' wear & tear on the drivetrain, give or take.
@@TheBeatenPaths changing it upon breaking it in is way different then changing it essentially anytime you play with it, I don’t go racing with my truck but I’ve seen what it can do and played around with it in the mud and the oils never been contaminated. I agree with changing it more often if your using it hard definitely but not every single time you use it for more then daily driving

People seem to forget driving your vehicle hard isn’t a bad thing as long as you not straight up bagging it and taking care of it, check foresure but changing when it’s not contaminated is gonna end up costing as much as another used vehicle by the time your done with it
I am extremely confused. Those are disastrous 60ft times. Hell my port injected 6 speed Supercrew is faster than that leaving in 2wd. Pretty sure your last Supercrew was WAY faster than that before tuning.
@anthonybartholomew2173 theres more to it than that. I believe the best 60ft was 2.31. Hes in 4wd. Go back and watch his videos of 2wd and 4wd attempts in the 5.3 or 6.2 Silverado or the Supercrew 5.0 F150. These 60ft times are disastrous. 4wd is a 60ft game changer. I haven't done a 4wd dragy pass on my new combination because I currently have the front driveline out with plans to do a gear change. But in 2wd with a Supercrew 5.0, port injectors only and a 6 speed it did a best 2.18 but typically around 2.23. A regular cab is lighter, a dual injected higher compression 5.0 is more powerful and a 10 speed has a lower first gear and lands at more power with every shift. There is something wrong. He should be easily sub 2 seconds. My previous combination, same truck but 2.7 Ecoboost tuned on e50 with other mods but only on regular ole all season tires pulled off a 2.07 60ft in 2wd and a 1.72 in 4wd. It did a 1.80 in the rain in 4wd. Consistently ran 1.75.
I knew a guy who was selling his dad's original '69 COPO Camaro ZL1. The all red car with dog dish hub caps & 4 speed was sitting out in a field about 150' from a big barn. It had been there maybe 10+ years, completely taken by age & cancer from the elements. It was totally rotted out. A tree was growing through the trunk. He said his das didn't modify the car & it had about 40,000 orig miles. The Elephant in the room question: Why wasn't it parked inside the barn? He said that's where his dad left it the last time he drove it. I asked if he would sell? He thought about it a moment & said Yes for $35,000! Keeping in mind, to bring that car up to Barrett Jackson™ Auction Standards would cost well above $100,000 so I left it. This was back in 2002, or 22 years ago.
Be ready to wait. Mines been ordered since November 2023 and just got finished at the factory June 2nd. Now it’ll go to the dealer and sit there waiting on the upgrade because the tunes aren’t available yet.

It’s funny how a staid old base model work truck with just a 5.0 is as fast as an SVT Lightning of 20 years ago. And a lot faster if you add some simple mods.

My pops got the 22 and he just murdered it out black and lowered it 2 inches with a drop kit, new exhaust and better wheels. Thing is truly a beast.
For exhaust I would do Kooks longtubes, high flow cats (for just a touch of sound muffling), and an X pipe with straight pipe.

My 22 rcsb 4x4 5.0 f150 on a 3/5 drop and 20 inch lariat wheels did a 13.98 @101 on a dragstrip. No engine mods just a muffler delete

21-23 was a good looking front end especially with the STX. I actually like the 24 xl-xlt grill better. It reminds me of the 1st GEN raptor.

Why when I try doing a pull on my truck I can’t go over 2500rpm while pressing the brake ?
