The biggest bummer I found is that you can no longer configure a 2.7 payload package for 2024. The 5.0l isn't weak, but the 2.7 eats its lunch unladen from a stop, and especially with a load. I had an 18' STX with the 2.7 payload package, and it stickered for 42k. STX is now a trim level, basically taking over the spot of XLT as the volume model. That being said, that is a 25% jump in price in 6 years, and again, mine had additional usefulness of a 9.75" rear end and uprated chassis and GVWR. I feel the product planners have a disconnect from the engineers, as the 2.7 has been the most purchased motor since its inception, and has had the fewest issues per 100 of any Ford motor the past 25 years. If they really wanted to simplify production, the 8.8" rear end should be a fuel efficient option that no one actually specs for lot orders so they can at least have their CAFE pie. So no, as a functional truck, we are now getting less, for a whole lot more. Add to that the high interest rates, and the massive depreciation from the inevitable incentives due to the slow market, and you get spiraling stagnation. I have to disagree.
I think the neon/yellow accent on the fender looks really cool, especially with the gray/silver metallic. Gives the STX trim that sporty look that Ford was going for.
I think this STX and even the base XL are the best value F-150’s available. And nicely equipped for such low end trims. Btw, get the 5.0 Coyote V8 while you still can because before too long, you’ll have to step up to a Super Duty if you still want V8 power. (Hopefully I’m wrong.)
I wish it had an auto dimming rear view mirror, and does it come with autostart? I thought the 2.7 was standard?
Def get the running boards, I was hoping ud talk about the upgraded suspension, but you didn't 😕
Which is better to buy, 5.0 V8 or V6 3.5 F150 2024
Naturally aspirated engine is what you want for longevity and reliability. That V8 engine is tried and true, turbos start to fail around 140k.
Great video thank you
How do you manually adjust the height of the drivers seat. I see how to adjust front to back movement and the angle of the backrest?
Dude sounds easer to follow and has great showmanship. Easy sailsman. Bet he makes bank selling stuff.
Need to some khaki pants for the teal shirt, those colors are bugging me. Digging the shoes though.
I have a 21 stx…the side mirror trim and B and C pillar trim is all warped from the heat
Okay so I got an idea. A base f150 5.0. Single cab 6 foot bed 4X4. (I know it's not possible but a manual) and no push Button start. Just a actual work truck for under 30K. I mean I know being 22 I can't even look at new trucks. Thats just my impossible build.
Why would it not be possible for a manual transmission?
@burntvirtue I mean from the factory. I tried its not a thing unless you got a ton of money to blow on a truck which is the opposite effect.
So no response is unfortunate
Might need to cut back on the coffee...
