This is great! We shorten the rope like this all the time and it tears up the silicone sleeve. I can't believe it took till 2022 before this was finally produced. Now if only someone can complete the package and make a handle that can last longer than 1 year.
This is a great invention..iv got to get my son down to your school this summer. I try to teach him how I learned or how I wakeboard at 20.5-21 and it freaks him out. We’ve got a 21 so I really think if I can slow down a lot and get him around 45-50ft he would feel a lot more comfortable
I've taken apart a lot of ropes to teach people. This is the best because unless you have 5 pro ropes to take apart there is no option on the market, until now!
I’m a huge fan of this concept! Really nice product, Shaun! Of course, it’s 2 months after I just got a new rope and handle 🤦🏻♂️😆 I love pulling the rope in to reduce risk of eating 💩 badly. As I age into a father and less of a young whippersnapper, I am way more conscious of not getting hurt. Thanks again for all you do for action sports safety 👍🏼
Always great to see your new videos and to hear your expert opinions! I think we all love gear reviews. To adjust rope length I just create a loop, go around the tower pylon, then under the rope, then place the loop over the pylon. No knots. Works great with a non-coated rope.
Love this for pulling the kids. We're pulling kids as young as 5 and want them on a nice thin wake at that short distance. I've got non-coated ropes just for this, but will pick this up for a next rope. Hopefully they sell one just as the rope with extensions. A small diameter handle would be great to for the kids.
Over 40 and just started wake boarding. Your 3 steps to getting up help me and my family. I want to start with some low impact stuff and maybe progress into jumping. An intro to jumping video would be a great addition.
Have you checked out the Detention Playlist. ua-cam.com/play/PLzW7auimACTo2jYfsUqGqaP0rUqRG6M1w.html It's from a few years ago But that along w some of my other, more recent videos like the 3 fundamentals to wakeboarding. ua-cam.com/video/eSJPitLMRY8/v-deo.html can be helpful
@@Shaun.Murray Thank you! I'll start watching that playlist. The fundamentals was a great video too. Really helped me relax and not get muscle fatigue.
Hi Shaun, any chance you can ask Hyperlite to allow their website to be able to ship to New Zealand, it will only allow USA and Canada. OR better still you grab a bunch and come over to New Zealand yourself and run a bunch of coaching lessons, bring the kids they will love it
honestly, watching him ride feels weird without sofa surfers-sofa rock as the audio track. must have watched that hyperlite vhs tape 1000 times when i was a teenager. all or nothing was the video and i had the first parks bonafey board in the UK, i got it so early that they hadnt even started selling it with the metal fins on it, when i bought mine. looking back at that time me and my pals all felt wakeboarding was about to explode due to cheap access revolution that winches were gonna have. me and my brother in law even bought a homemade winch and was loving riding all the urban canals around north london home area, sadly my brother in law caught wells disease that nearly killed him, after that it pretty much killed our passion for the sport, cant enjoy it and relax when you always thinking you could die from infected water.
On the subject of safety, does anyone ever wear a helmet while wakeboarding, and does that help? I've smacked my head into the water hard a few times and wondered if there's anything I can do to reduce the risk of feeling like I've had a concussion for the rest of the day. I also hear about ruptured eardrums, which a helmet with ear covers could help with?
Jury's been out for years on this one. I won't take a stance on with or without one when riding behind the boat but when using the Bb Talkin system, the helmet has ear flaps and for sure can help with hitting ear drums.
As an old guy, I appreciate the low risk high reward series a ton!
Yes!
I have a 45' rope with the silicone jacket. My friend helped my get it by running over the rope and getting it tangled in the prop.
😂 Sorry bout your rope though.
Great idea! I'm always shortening the rope beyond the take off lengths when helping people learn, but it's not easy to get the exact length I want.

Thanks for all the tips!! I'm just getting back into the sport after taking about 10 years off, and I've learned a lot from your channel.
Welcome back Moore! Thanks for watching!

Jay, that's what led us to this one! Taking apart ropes and making what we called Frankenrope

On the same page Ryan! Thanks for watchin!
First was the NFinite Rope Adjuster … now this… the man is full of ideas!
You member dat?! Noice!
About time! I had to resort to making a custom length wakeboard rope for myself using a non stretch trick ski rope.

That temp knot works for sure but messes up the coated ropes

We've tossed the idea around for kids having a smaller diameter. Maybe one day!

45 would work good for those of us trying to progress tricks behind smaller wakes like my folks ski boat.
I’m gonna get back into riding more this summer 🤙🏽

I know there's dealers in Australia and pretty sure in NZ 🤔 . Hopefully make there one day myself!
Hi Shaun!

Where is a link for this product?
Thanks for the heads up Anthony. Thought I had it but have not added it ✌️
