@@ryanbryce2752 Thats great mate im excited for you! For 1st timers i always recommend the Fangio stand, especially for Saturday and Sunday as most of the action will be right in front of you, especially on Sunday. I will be taking a few 1st timers with me next year and thats where we will be.
I find it astonishing how many first timers 25 years on since the first race. It's a great weekend and grandstands help with knowing you have a seat and gives people the opportunity to walk around and enjoy everything without stressing about saving a spot in general admission. I have been to all grandstands each has advantages and a few have disadvantages. Brilliant weeekend enjoy.
@@James-js2wg jones and waite are my favorite for enjoying the cars and action. Last corners Schumacher and prost are pretty good. Fangio is good for being close to the grid action with anthems, entertainment, cars getting prepared before the race and podium celebrations, but I personally don't enjoy the cars just going in a stright line past me. But I do recommend doing the fangio at least once for the experience of race day.
@@nickkaravias1796we are at Fangio straight across from the podium (literally the steps are at eye height). I get what you mean about just seeing them go in a straight line…..but there are a ton of benefits like seeing all the ceremonies, including the race start, and the podium. Cornering is great but probably also gets old. I’m a huge F1 fan but I don’t for-see going to a lot of races as you don’t see much. Mostly you are watching the TV.

@@do3604 the price is the same as all the other good grandstands……around $500 AUD for 4 days. Make sure you get ausgp emails signup to buy the tickets early. Log on to the queue early and just wait……we got through in 20 minutes. I had 4 people in the queue at one time, 1 errored out while checking out and 2 of us got through around the same time.

Awesome video....First time Grand Stand tickets for next year as they took away the Private Bar areas that you could tack onto GA. Used this to find exactly where we wanted to site next year as on a map you cannot really tell how much track you will see

Glad this video exists, going Clark stand but I'm on the far right of the stand (I think I'm in like seat 4 of section A) if you ever got a chance to be on that side of the stand, how was the view to the super screen, hope I'm not craning my neck to see.
Hey mate, this grandstand was only added last year so its fairly new, but from what i can see the screen is pretty much in the middle of the stand in front of every1. You shouldnt have to much of a problem viewing it

Hey Mark. I hope you were able to get tickets. I personally like the Stewart stand more than Clark, mainly because now the Clark stand is set on the back straight and you dont see them for long at all. Shere is the Stewart stand you see them going thru turn 5 and down towards turn 6. And theres always abit of action at turn 5. I hope you have am amazing 1st Aus gp wkend mate 👍👍

Sorry to hear that Mark and with the sport being as popular as it is these days I'm kind of not surprised that you and many others I know didn't get grandstand tickets. But even with GA your still going to have a great time. All the best
Hey Chris that's an unusual question lol. But normally they are checking tickets from Friday when it gets really busy, they are under the grandstand at the bottom of the stairs to check your tickets before you walk up. My videos were filmed on a Thursday when all grandstands are accessible by any1 and it is not that busy, so you will notice some of them are just walking around incase some1 needs help. Even once every1 is in their seats I don't think they get to see much of what's happening on track because they normally need to stay in their positions. Hope this helps

I sure I want to be in Brabham. My 3) questions 1) What happens on Thursday? Isn't all the F1/2 and 2 action on Fr/Sa/Sun. Yes it would be great to walk around and view all the turns, but Im coming a long way and my wife could be sitting in our Airbnb for 4 days vs 3 is a big ask :-) I can still walk around on Friday to get a layout of the track 2) What section and height up would you recommend for Brabham? I think I want to be more in your first video of Brabham (closer to T1 vs T2) to see the fight for the apex and maybe as high as possible to get the fencing out of my sight line. 3) With ticket pre-sales do you think I stand a chance of getting these seats? Hey Jeff. Ok. I hope i give you the answers you want 👍👍. Thursday is all support catagories. This will be the 1st year that F2 and F3 will be on the timetable, so im gonna assume they will also have a session on Thursday, but im not exactly sure of that. But either way, there is def no F1 on Thursday, except the drivers coming in for media interviews so you will see them arrive in the Melbourne walk area. For me, section F on Brabham is best as you see the cars the longest because from that section you can watch them go down towards turn 3. If you want to clear the fence you have to get a seat up high towards the back rows. If its only you that is going you should have a good chance at getting the seat you want as long as you are online as soon as the tickets go on sale. If there were a few of you id say maybe you will struggle, but single seats should be easy to find.

They are all the best grandstands in my opinion. Honestly its so hard to get tickets these days i would be happy with any seat i can get in those grandstands. Good luck 👍👍

Hey Sonny. Out of those 2 id probably go Stewart as you will see the cars for longer and sometimes you get some action there. Turn 11 can produce some action as well but you wont see the cars for as long.

@@Battyounca they restricted the seat options mate so it wasnt a matter of selling out, its just they didnt give us the whole grandstand to choose from, only certain seats. I was blowing up at them all morning yesterday about it. I didnt really get the exact seats i wanted either, even though i like you had access to the pre sale. Public sale next week will get the rest of the seats you and i couldnt get 👎👎
@@Battyounca anyway Prost section F looks pretty good, im pretty sure you will be able to see the start of the race from there and of course the last 2 corners, not a bad spot at all

Hey Luke. Hill is abit better because its facing turn 3 front on so you can see the cars come down into the corner, and theres normally alot of overtaking in there which from the Ricciardo stand, u wont see it until the overtake is allready done. But Ricciardo is still a good grandstand. If u have a lower budget, personally i think the best grandstands are Schumacher, Prost, and then maybe Waite, as that section of the track is awesome to watch an F1 car go through. Ive read your comments about the Fangio Stand and I love the sound of that spot. However, Im taking my wife and 15 year old daughter and they both want to be in a grandstand under cover. Theres a few options with cover. I have a friend who used to race open wheelers and he says go Ricciardo Stand for the turns, the under cover and the catering area and bar. Yours and anybody elses thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks again.
Ok mate, well the 1st thing i have to tell you is that the Ricciardo stand that is undercover is actually the Ricciardo Suites, its a corporate hospitality stand with a bar and food, but your looking at $2595 pp for 3 days. Im not sure if thats what you want and how much you want to pay but im assuming thats the stand your friend is refering to. The actual Ricciardo grandstand (which is new) is now next to the Ricciardo suites and is partially undercover. This stand will have a "premium" under cover section, but just a seat, no bar, no food options like the suite. Your other undercover options for you too choose from are the Piquet stand, which is fully covered, also in this video. And there are a few other grandstands that have "premium" sections which are under covered areas, Fangio, Prost, Schumacher and Senna. Of course, "premium" seats are more expensive, but if undercover is what you want, these are your only options. I hope ive helped. Let me know if you have any more questions. If you love the sound of the Fangio stand, you can have it! And your wife and daughter will be under cover as well, so every1 is happy! 🙂

Hey Dom, just snatched up the Senna grandstand section C tickets, would you say that I would be able to watch the TV well from that area and do you think that Senna is a good grandstand as I am thinking of getting a Fangio or another grandstand ticket during the presale and reselling my senna ones. Also just wondering if you knew if reselling tickets is easy for Aus GP, especially for the Senna grandstand which may not be the best?
Hi Elysia. Senna stand is ok but not that great compared to alot of others in my opinion. The tv screen is on the far right of the grandstand so not the best view of it mainly because you have the V8 Supercar pit complex accross from you. If you have the opportunity to get a good seat in Fangio i would definately move there instead. Im sorry but i dont know anything about Ticketmaster resale, ive never tried it before. BUT, the grand prix is so popular these days i dont think you will have much trouble trying to sell it as the demand for tickets is so high. Good luck 😊

Hi Annas. Jones stand is good, but for Qualy and defenitely race day the Fangio C section seat is prime position. You will be right on front of the front row and podium, its a great spot so if it was up to me i would definately pick that 1. Im also going to try and get a seat in that section 👍👍
hey, loved the video, just wondering if you know, when you buy a grandstand ticket do you get allocated a seat or a section. So, like if you are allocated a seat, you get a permanent seat but if you get a section is it just first in best dressed on the day for the seats?
No when you buy a grandstand ticket its a seat, not a section. So you pick the seat you want, then once you buy it, thats your seat for the weekend, or whatever days you bought it for. You will have a choice to buy for the whole weekend, 2 day Friday and Saturday, or just Friday. Hope this helps 🙂
Hey man, I am considering going to the 2024 race. I've heard that grandstand tickets for Sunday have been sold out in mere minutes. If I get a pre-sale tocken, what do you think about my chances to get a 4-day ticket to lauda/clark/vettel grandstands?
Hey mate, put it this way it will much much better if you do get a pre sale token. BUT, there are a lot of people who now have pre sale access, so it will still be hard. My best advice as always is to make sure you are ready to buy as soon as they go on sale. Be prepared and have a plan b incase you don't get what you want

Some people say it was like 15 minutes, others claim that they were able to buy after several hours. Would be amazing if you could help out. Thanks
@@induce6645 From memory, in the pre sale for this years race the grandstand seats lasted the few days that they were on sale, but you were limited on what seats you could choose which I wasn't happy about because I wanted to pick my exact seats, not pick only what they offered. When it went on sale to the public most of the grandstand seats were gone within 15mins. General Admission lasted a few days from memory. The Sunday tickets sold pretty quickly, then Saturday after that was also gone. The only seats that lasted a while were scattered grandstand seats on Friday only. But they were not popular because it was only single seats here and there. The next pre sale in my opinion will be a lot busier because a lot of people have joined the Access 23 program which gives you pre sale access for next years tickets, so it will be even harder. But as I said, make sure you are ready to go with multiple devices as soon as they go on sale.

Hey Alisa. Did you watch the video and see all the different grandstand views? If you see them all im sure you will be able to pick a view that you really like and that suits what you want. I only like Fangio grandstand during qualifying and the race because being in front of pit boxes during those sessions is when all the action happens and the best spot to see the drivers up close, also the pit stops, interviews, celebrities, and of course the podium. My 2nd favorite spots to watch the cars actually race is on the Schumacher grandstand, or the Brabham grandstand in section F. I hope this answer helps. Hey Farhan. I just checked and from what I can see its about the 6th row from the bottom. Just under half way up, about 2 rows down from where I'm standing in this video. It looks like they have added more rows to this grandstand compared to last year.

Hey mate. There are 3 screens that spread out across the main straight in front of the Fangio stand. All depending on how high up the grid you want to be will depend on which section. If you look at the view from where I film in section F, you will see I'm right in front of a screen and the fourth row of the grid. There's also a screen in front of sections A, B and C which is at the front of the grid. Hope that helps 🙂
No they dont. Only the corporate and private suits have those facilities. But there are bars everywhere so im sure you will find 1 that isnt too far from your grandstand.
Hey mate. Ive just had a look at what's still available on the Friday and there's only a handful of grandstands left. The best and 1st choice out of those I would go is the Schumacher stand, then Fangio, then Waite. Hope this helps. 🙂

I got the registered pre sale code and have been logged on my computer since 10am and still couldn’t get a single grandstand ticket. Hey Amanda. Im in your boat, i still havent had luck either! But quite confident ill get something in the public sale as ALL seats get opened up for sale. Pre sales are limited and also these days they try and make you buy the more expensive seats and leave out most of the normal priced seats. Hoping that you get what you want in the public sale. Nice video Dom. I've gone to the grand prix since 2015 (except 20 and 21 obviously) and have only ever been in the general admission. Am planning on purchasing grand stand tickets for Friday practice and from all I've read it sounds like Brabham and Jones are the best grandstands. Would you recommend these ones for Friday?
Absolutely mate. Either of those 2 are great, ill be in Brabham section H myself on Friday. Also the Schumacher stand in Section A is also a great spot. Enjoy 👍👍
Hey Sarah. On the Thursday you can sit on any grandstand you want. So i simply walked the whole circuit that day and took footage from every grandstand.
Thats a good question! Im not 100% sure. You can definately see the V8 pits but the F1 pit lane im assuming will be alot more difficult to see. Dont forget that you do have tv screens right accross from you so whatever action is happening in the pits im sure they will show it.

Hey Sebastian. Premium seats are "undercover" at the top part of the grandstand. If you look closely at the 1st part of this video you will see the premium section. These are pretty much the best seats on the grandstand as they are high, under cover and only limited to about 5 rows with more leg room. Aisle seats are simply seats that are near the aisles for easy access. I believe the 1st 4 seats nearest the aisle are considered aisle seats, so consider this when you are picking and buying your prefered seats. Hope ive answered your question. @@umairizzeth7926 i dont know exact rows but the Stewart stand is pretty much the same anywhere you sit EXCEPT in section A on the far right of the stand cause from that end you will also be able to see the cars coming from turn 4. But still good. There is a screen right in front of you. Enjoy 👍

@@HezaLife dont be silly! Happy to try and help. The Schumacher and Prost stands are the 2 stands where you will see the cars the longest. Imo sections C, D, E and F you will see them the longest cause they will have views of the last 2 corners plus all the way down the pit straight. These days they charge so much money for single and 2 day passes, you might as well just get a 4 day pass cause its not that much more, and also, when you pick a 4 day ticket option, you get a better choice of seats. Also, even if you buy a 4 day pass, doesnt mean you have to sit there every day. You can still walk around the track and view the cars from other spots, BUT not from another grandstand, but its still good to watch them from other spots. What i normally do is, during the practise sessions, i walk around. Then for qualy and race, i sit at my seat. Hope that helps

@@anastashiasamantha turn 3, Hill grandstand. In this video its the Piquet stand, but they have changed the name to Hill. Its a pretty slow corner and there is always overtaking attempts in that corner. This grandstand is also the only 1 thats fully undercover.

Hey xtrain. There are a few grandstands that will go on sale once the current line of grandstands sell out. This includes the Lauda grandstand, and also the Button, Stewart and Vettel grandstands.
@@xtrain6015 I looked back at my records for what they did last year. Grandstand tickets went on sale in mid Nov, they pretty much sold most of them in 2 weeks. They then put the extra grandstands on sale in February. Now thats a fair whille but i think it was because of covid and they wanted to wait to be 100% sure it was going ahead before they did. I dont think they will wait that long this time. But yeah i cant tell you when that will be. Maybe some time in January? Who knows, but they will definately sell them.
I am thinking about the moss stand and im wondering what its like to be there if anyone could help. I am mostly interested in viewing action but keeping it cheaper.

@@mmgaming2560 there is a screen to the left of the Moss grandstand right across the track. You can see it in the video. Its not extra large bit i think its big enough for you to be able to see the track action that is being shown.
I'm going to the 2023 Melbourne GP and i can't decide between jones or brabham. I like brabham for the view but i also like jones because you get a small view of the starting line. Can someone please help me decide which one to go to. Thanks
You wont see the starting line from wither of these grandstands. Jones from section AA gets you close but still not close enough to see the grid if thats what you mean. I prefer Brabham in section F because thats where you will see the cars the longest, as long as you up high enough you can see them race down towards turn 3.

Damn Oliver sorry to hear you missed out. It really is a shambles these days, mainly because of the fact the sports popularity has gone through the roof and now so many people want to go. I would definately try and get any grandstand you can, my 1st choice would be Lauda, then Stewart. If you cant get a grandstand id definately just get a Park Pass. At least with that your still in there to see the action.

Hi Dom First time going a to Formula GP, I was wondering if its worth it to get the general admission ticket just to hang around different spots of the track. Also, checked the Grand Prix website and there is no "General Admission", is it now called park pass? Thanks
Hi Santiago. Yes Gondamar is right, it is now called Park Pass and they will go on sale 6th December. Park Pass is great if you dont want to sit in the 1 spot the whole time and view different corners, but be aware that these days, the grand prix gets a very large crowd and unless you are there early, it will be abit hard to get good spots or close to the barrier so you can see the cars clearly without obstruction. This is why buying a grandstand seat is always a better option because you dont have to worry about it, your spot is always there for you and there is no1 in front of you getting in your way. But of course it all depends on what your budget is as well. But definately if you cant afford a grandstand ticket then yes a Park Pass is great, especially for your 1st time. Let me know if you end up getting a ticket and ill tell you the best spots to watch the cars from.

@@lucaj-v23 if your sitting down in the back row i think only just, or at least when they are driving through the corner. Corner exit i dont think so though. But the good thing is if your in the back row you can stand up without bothering anybody behind you because there is nobody there. 👍
Hey Jack. If you want overtakes, definately turn 1, either Jones or Brabham, i prefer Brabham. Turn 3 Piquet. Turn 11, The Pinnacles or Webber stands. Turns 12 and 13, Lauda and Schumacher is rare to get some overtakes in F1 at these spots, but it can happen sometimes. Prost is a great stand as you have a view of the last 2 corners and pit straight. This is the grandstand where you will see the cars for the longest length of time, but hardly any overtaking.
I was wondering whether a Park Pass would be the better option over the Schumacher and Senna stands? Does anyone know whether these two stands are any good or worth the money instead of just the Park Pass? 2023 will be my first time going hopefully!! thanks
Hi Bree. Have you watched the video to see the views from these stands? Imo the Schumacher stand is great, 1 of my favourites and ive sat there for a few gp weekends in the past. It is 1 of the few stands where you get to see the cars for longer than usual as they go through the final 2 corners. Imo it is much better than the Senna stand. As far as getting a Park Pass its totally up to you. It all depends on whether your the type who likes to move around and watch the cars from different corners. But just bare in mind that besides a few concrete blocks, there is no seating at all. I have included a couple of Park Pass spots in this video including the best view imo which is at the exit of turn 2. You will get to see the 1st 2 corners from this position and you are set on a hill. But also dont forget that you can do both. These days you are now able to book a 1 or 2 day pass on a grandstand, then you can get a Park Pass for the other 2 days. There is alot more choice these days. Hope my answer helps. 🙂

Anyway, your comment was very helpful, especially regarding the views between the two stands and then the benefits of the Park Pass. Perhaps this is silly but do you have an opinion on the preferable seating within the Schumacher stand or does it not really matter? I think I will look into what you suggested and purchase the Grandstand ticket for Saturday and Sunday and a Park Pass for the Friday, that seems to make the most sense to me. Thank you again!
@@breejosipovic2083 Great plan! I always use the 1st 3 F1 sessions to walk around the track and see the cars from different corners, then in Qualy and Race i like to be seated in a grandstand. Anywhere on the Schumacher stand is good, but if i had a preference id get a seat up high in the upper rows, in either section A, B or C, pretty much where i have filmed it in this video, it is closer to the hairpin and tv screen. Sometimes you will get cars going off or overtakes on that hairpin which is cool to see. Hope you get the seats you want and have an amazing time, i can almost guarantee you will be going back the year after, ill never forget my 1st time although it was very different back then, but still such a buzz. Enjoy 🙂

Not a stupid question at all Razz. When you book your tickets, you can pick the exact seat you want, just make sure that you book asap if there is a particular seat you want.

Loved the video and this is exactly what I needed! This will be my first race I will be going to and will be bringing a couple friends, so its up to me to sort the tickets and grandstands out. For what you were explaining in another comment, I will 100% chose the Fangio stand but am a little worried all a lot of tickets for that stand will be sold out with the Aus GP access presale. From previous years did you find having trouble getting good seats for that area with the general sale? (I will attempt to buy the tickets as soon as the tickets come out the sale)
Hey Luke. Excited for you mate!! As long as you are online and ready as soon as the tickets go on sale, you shouldnt have a problem finding seats. Maybe come up with a plan b incase but from my experience you should be fine. Enjoy 👍👍

IF they keep some seats back for General Sale you should be sweet, but looking now...there is not a lot left as i am a GP Access Pre-Sale and got mine at 2pm today. The higher levels got access yesterday at 10am....i had a plan B, C and D and in the end had to opt for Plan E as seats kept disappearing. You an log in now and see what is still there, you just can't access the tickets

@@ryanbryce2752 Thats great mate im excited for you! For 1st timers i always recommend the Fangio stand, especially for Saturday and Sunday as most of the action will be right in front of you, especially on Sunday. I will be taking a few 1st timers with me next year and thats where we will be.
I find it astonishing how many first timers 25 years on since the first race. It's a great weekend and grandstands help with knowing you have a seat and gives people the opportunity to walk around and enjoy everything without stressing about saving a spot in general admission. I have been to all grandstands each has advantages and a few have disadvantages. Brilliant weeekend enjoy.

@@James-js2wg jones and waite are my favorite for enjoying the cars and action. Last corners Schumacher and prost are pretty good. Fangio is good for being close to the grid action with anthems, entertainment, cars getting prepared before the race and podium celebrations, but I personally don't enjoy the cars just going in a stright line past me. But I do recommend doing the fangio at least once for the experience of race day.
@@nickkaravias1796we are at Fangio straight across from the podium (literally the steps are at eye height). I get what you mean about just seeing them go in a straight line…..but there are a ton of benefits like seeing all the ceremonies, including the race start, and the podium. Cornering is great but probably also gets old. I’m a huge F1 fan but I don’t for-see going to a lot of races as you don’t see much. Mostly you are watching the TV.

@@do3604 the price is the same as all the other good grandstands……around $500 AUD for 4 days. Make sure you get ausgp emails signup to buy the tickets early. Log on to the queue early and just wait……we got through in 20 minutes. I had 4 people in the queue at one time, 1 errored out while checking out and 2 of us got through around the same time.

Hey mate, this grandstand was only added last year so its fairly new, but from what i can see the screen is pretty much in the middle of the stand in front of every1. You shouldnt have to much of a problem viewing it

Hey Mark. I hope you were able to get tickets. I personally like the Stewart stand more than Clark, mainly because now the Clark stand is set on the back straight and you dont see them for long at all. Shere is the Stewart stand you see them going thru turn 5 and down towards turn 6. And theres always abit of action at turn 5. I hope you have am amazing 1st Aus gp wkend mate 👍👍

hey do you know if grandstand attendant's working there get to watch the race or do they usually stay down bottom of stairs checking tickets
Hey Chris that's an unusual question lol. But normally they are checking tickets from Friday when it gets really busy, they are under the grandstand at the bottom of the stairs to check your tickets before you walk up. My videos were filmed on a Thursday when all grandstands are accessible by any1 and it is not that busy, so you will notice some of them are just walking around incase some1 needs help. Even once every1 is in their seats I don't think they get to see much of what's happening on track because they normally need to stay in their positions. Hope this helps

I sure I want to be in Brabham. My 3) questions 1) What happens on Thursday? Isn't all the F1/2 and 2 action on Fr/Sa/Sun. Yes it would be great to walk around and view all the turns, but Im coming a long way and my wife could be sitting in our Airbnb for 4 days vs 3 is a big ask :-) I can still walk around on Friday to get a layout of the track 2) What section and height up would you recommend for Brabham? I think I want to be more in your first video of Brabham (closer to T1 vs T2) to see the fight for the apex and maybe as high as possible to get the fencing out of my sight line. 3) With ticket pre-sales do you think I stand a chance of getting these seats? Thursday is all support catagories. This will be the 1st year that F2 and F3 will be on the timetable, so im gonna assume they will also have a session on Thursday, but im not exactly sure of that. But either way, there is def no F1 on Thursday, except the drivers coming in for media interviews so you will see them arrive in the Melbourne walk area.
For me, section F on Brabham is best as you see the cars the longest because from that section you can watch them go down towards turn 3. If you want to clear the fence you have to get a seat up high towards the back rows.
If its only you that is going you should have a good chance at getting the seat you want as long as you are online as soon as the tickets go on sale. If there were a few of you id say maybe you will struggle, but single seats should be easy to find.

Hey Sonny. Out of those 2 id probably go Stewart as you will see the cars for longer and sometimes you get some action there. Turn 11 can produce some action as well but you wont see the cars for as long.

@@Battyounca they restricted the seat options mate so it wasnt a matter of selling out, its just they didnt give us the whole grandstand to choose from, only certain seats. I was blowing up at them all morning yesterday about it. I didnt really get the exact seats i wanted either, even though i like you had access to the pre sale. Public sale next week will get the rest of the seats you and i couldnt get 👎👎

Hill is abit better because its facing turn 3 front on so you can see the cars come down into the corner, and theres normally alot of overtaking in there which from the Ricciardo stand, u wont see it until the overtake is allready done.
But Ricciardo is still a good grandstand.
If u have a lower budget, personally i think the best grandstands are Schumacher, Prost, and then maybe Waite, as that section of the track is awesome to watch an F1 car go through.

Ive read your comments about the Fangio Stand and I love the sound of that spot. However, Im taking my wife and 15 year old daughter and they both want to be in a grandstand under cover. Theres a few options with cover. I have a friend who used to race open wheelers and he says go Ricciardo Stand for the turns, the under cover and the catering area and bar. Yours and anybody elses thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks again.
Ok mate, well the 1st thing i have to tell you is that the Ricciardo stand that is undercover is actually the Ricciardo Suites, its a corporate hospitality stand with a bar and food, but your looking at $2595 pp for 3 days. Im not sure if thats what you want and how much you want to pay but im assuming thats the stand your friend is refering to. The actual Ricciardo grandstand (which is new) is now next to the Ricciardo suites and is partially undercover. This stand will have a "premium" under cover section, but just a seat, no bar, no food options like the suite.
Your other undercover options for you too choose from are the Piquet stand, which is fully covered, also in this video. And there are a few other grandstands that have "premium" sections which are under covered areas, Fangio, Prost, Schumacher and Senna. Of course, "premium" seats are more expensive, but if undercover is what you want, these are your only options. I hope ive helped. Let me know if you have any more questions.
If you love the sound of the Fangio stand, you can have it! And your wife and daughter will be under cover as well, so every1 is happy! 🙂
Correction, the Piquet stand is now renamed the Hill grandstand. Same location turn 3 all covered.

Senna stand is ok but not that great compared to alot of others in my opinion. The tv screen is on the far right of the grandstand so not the best view of it mainly because you have the V8 Supercar pit complex accross from you.
If you have the opportunity to get a good seat in Fangio i would definately move there instead.
Im sorry but i dont know anything about Ticketmaster resale, ive never tried it before. BUT, the grand prix is so popular these days i dont think you will have much trouble trying to sell it as the demand for tickets is so high.

Jones stand is good, but for Qualy and defenitely race day the Fangio C section seat is prime position. You will be right on front of the front row and podium, its a great spot so if it was up to me i would definately pick that 1.

hey, loved the video, just wondering if you know, when you buy a grandstand ticket do you get allocated a seat or a section. So, like if you are allocated a seat, you get a permanent seat but if you get a section is it just first in best dressed on the day for the seats?
No when you buy a grandstand ticket its a seat, not a section. So you pick the seat you want, then once you buy it, thats your seat for the weekend, or whatever days you bought it for. You will have a choice to buy for the whole weekend, 2 day Friday and Saturday, or just Friday. Hope this helps 🙂

Hey mate, put it this way it will much much better if you do get a pre sale token. BUT, there are a lot of people who now have pre sale access, so it will still be hard. My best advice as always is to make sure you are ready to buy as soon as they go on sale. Be prepared and have a plan b incase you don't get what you want

@@induce6645 From memory, in the pre sale for this years race the grandstand seats lasted the few days that they were on sale, but you were limited on what seats you could choose which I wasn't happy about because I wanted to pick my exact seats, not pick only what they offered. When it went on sale to the public most of the grandstand seats were gone within 15mins. General Admission lasted a few days from memory. The Sunday tickets sold pretty quickly, then Saturday after that was also gone. The only seats that lasted a while were scattered grandstand seats on Friday only. But they were not popular because it was only single seats here and there.
The next pre sale in my opinion will be a lot busier because a lot of people have joined the Access 23 program which gives you pre sale access for next years tickets, so it will be even harder. But as I said, make sure you are ready to go with multiple devices as soon as they go on sale.

As far as their customer service is concerned, ill bite my tongue, and just say that they used to be great, always appreciating fans feedback. But these days ive tried multiple times with them, and its gotten me nowhere, not even a reply. As far as I'm concerned, all their decisions are only based on making more $$$$.
You just have to accept how they organize things and then do what's best for you. I wish you well and hope you get the seats you want when the time comes. 🙂

Hey Alisa. Did you watch the video and see all the different grandstand views? If you see them all im sure you will be able to pick a view that you really like and that suits what you want.
I only like Fangio grandstand during qualifying and the race because being in front of pit boxes during those sessions is when all the action happens and the best spot to see the drivers up close, also the pit stops, interviews, celebrities, and of course the podium.
My 2nd favorite spots to watch the cars actually race is on the Schumacher grandstand, or the Brabham grandstand in section F.

Yes park passes are great especially if you like to move around. BUT, you do not have access to seated grandstands.

Hey Farhan. I just checked and from what I can see its about the 6th row from the bottom. Just under half way up, about 2 rows down from where I'm standing in this video. It looks like they have added more rows to this grandstand compared to last year.
Got in with Access23 presale, Brabham Section E row K. Will the catch fench be much of an issue in that row or should it be fine?
Not sure how high up row K is but you may be fence free as they go through the apex of the corner

Hey mate. There are 3 screens that spread out across the main straight in front of the Fangio stand. All depending on how high up the grid you want to be will depend on which section. If you look at the view from where I film in section F, you will see I'm right in front of a screen and the fourth row of the grid. There's also a screen in front of sections A, B and C which is at the front of the grid. Hope that helps 🙂

No they dont. Only the corporate and private suits have those facilities. But there are bars everywhere so im sure you will find 1 that isnt too far from your grandstand.

Hey mate. Ive just had a look at what's still available on the Friday and there's only a handful of grandstands left. The best and 1st choice out of those I would go is the Schumacher stand, then Fangio, then Waite. Hope this helps. 🙂

Pre sales are limited and also these days they try and make you buy the more expensive seats and leave out most of the normal priced seats. Hoping that you get what you want in the public sale. Nice video Dom. I've gone to the grand prix since 2015 (except 20 and 21 obviously) and have only ever been in the general admission. Am planning on purchasing grand stand tickets for Friday practice and from all I've read it sounds like Brabham and Jones are the best grandstands. Would you recommend these ones for Friday?

On the Thursday you can sit on any grandstand you want. So i simply walked the whole circuit that day and took footage from every grandstand.
Thats a good question! Im not 100% sure. You can definately see the V8 pits but the F1 pit lane im assuming will be alot more difficult to see.
Dont forget that you do have tv screens right accross from you so whatever action is happening in the pits im sure they will show it.

Hey dom what is the difference between an aisle seat and a premium seat on the Fangio grandstand? Which is better?
Hey Sebastian.
Premium seats are "undercover" at the top part of the grandstand. If you look closely at the 1st part of this video you will see the premium section. These are pretty much the best seats on the grandstand as they are high, under cover and only limited to about 5 rows with more leg room.
Aisle seats are simply seats that are near the aisles for easy access. I believe the 1st 4 seats nearest the aisle are considered aisle seats, so consider this when you are picking and buying your prefered seats.

@@umairizzeth7926 i dont know exact rows but the Stewart stand is pretty much the same anywhere you sit EXCEPT in section A on the far right of the stand cause from that end you will also be able to see the cars coming from turn 4.

@@HezaLife dont be silly! Happy to try and help. The Schumacher and Prost stands are the 2 stands where you will see the cars the longest.
Imo sections C, D, E and F you will see them the longest cause they will have views of the last 2 corners plus all the way down the pit straight.
These days they charge so much money for single and 2 day passes, you might as well just get a 4 day pass cause its not that much more, and also, when you pick a 4 day ticket option, you get a better choice of seats. Also, even if you buy a 4 day pass, doesnt mean you have to sit there every day. You can still walk around the track and view the cars from other spots, BUT not from another grandstand, but its still good to watch them from other spots. What i normally do is, during the practise sessions, i walk around. Then for qualy and race, i sit at my seat. Hope that helps

@@anastashiasamantha turn 3, Hill grandstand. In this video its the Piquet stand, but they have changed the name to Hill. Its a pretty slow corner and there is always overtaking attempts in that corner. This grandstand is also the only 1 thats fully undercover.

Hey xtrain. There are a few grandstands that will go on sale once the current line of grandstands sell out. This includes the Lauda grandstand, and also the Button, Stewart and Vettel grandstands.

@@xtrain6015 I looked back at my records for what they did last year. Grandstand tickets went on sale in mid Nov, they pretty much sold most of them in 2 weeks. They then put the extra grandstands on sale in February. Now thats a fair whille but i think it was because of covid and they wanted to wait to be 100% sure it was going ahead before they did. I dont think they will wait that long this time. But yeah i cant tell you when that will be. Maybe some time in January? Who knows, but they will definately sell them.

@@mmgaming2560 there is a screen to the left of the Moss grandstand right across the track. You can see it in the video. Its not extra large bit i think its big enough for you to be able to see the track action that is being shown.
I'm going to the 2023 Melbourne GP and i can't decide between jones or brabham. I like brabham for the view but i also like jones because you get a small view of the starting line. Can someone please help me decide which one to go to. Thanks
You wont see the starting line from wither of these grandstands. Jones from section AA gets you close but still not close enough to see the grid if thats what you mean. I prefer Brabham in section F because thats where you will see the cars the longest, as long as you up high enough you can see them race down towards turn 3.

Damn Oliver sorry to hear you missed out. It really is a shambles these days, mainly because of the fact the sports popularity has gone through the roof and now so many people want to go.
I would definately try and get any grandstand you can, my 1st choice would be Lauda, then Stewart. If you cant get a grandstand id definately just get a Park Pass. At least with that your still in there to see the action.

It's called Park Pass. Btw buying a grandstand ticket also gives you general admission.
Hi Santiago. Yes Gondamar is right, it is now called Park Pass and they will go on sale 6th December. Park Pass is great if you dont want to sit in the 1 spot the whole time and view different corners, but be aware that these days, the grand prix gets a very large crowd and unless you are there early, it will be abit hard to get good spots or close to the barrier so you can see the cars clearly without obstruction. This is why buying a grandstand seat is always a better option because you dont have to worry about it, your spot is always there for you and there is no1 in front of you getting in your way. But of course it all depends on what your budget is as well. But definately if you cant afford a grandstand ticket then yes a Park Pass is great, especially for your 1st time. Let me know if you end up getting a ticket and ill tell you the best spots to watch the cars from.
Were you standing up for the Piquet footage? Just trying to work out we'll be able to see over the metal guard rail if we sit in the back row.

@@lucaj-v23 if your sitting down in the back row i think only just, or at least when they are driving through the corner. Corner exit i dont think so though. But the good thing is if your in the back row you can stand up without bothering anybody behind you because there is nobody there. 👍

Hey Jack. If you want overtakes, definately turn 1, either Jones or Brabham, i prefer Brabham. Turn 3 Piquet. Turn 11, The Pinnacles or Webber stands. Turns 12 and 13, Lauda and Schumacher is rare to get some overtakes in F1 at these spots, but it can happen sometimes. Prost is a great stand as you have a view of the last 2 corners and pit straight. This is the grandstand where you will see the cars for the longest length of time, but hardly any overtaking.

Have you watched the video to see the views from these stands? Imo the Schumacher stand is great, 1 of my favourites and ive sat there for a few gp weekends in the past. It is 1 of the few stands where you get to see the cars for longer than usual as they go through the final 2 corners. Imo it is much better than the Senna stand. As far as getting a Park Pass its totally up to you. It all depends on whether your the type who likes to move around and watch the cars from different corners. But just bare in mind that besides a few concrete blocks, there is no seating at all. I have included a couple of Park Pass spots in this video including the best view imo which is at the exit of turn 2. You will get to see the 1st 2 corners from this position and you are set on a hill.
But also dont forget that you can do both. These days you are now able to book a 1 or 2 day pass on a grandstand, then you can get a Park Pass for the other 2 days. There is alot more choice these days. Hope my answer helps. 🙂

Anywhere on the Schumacher stand is good, but if i had a preference id get a seat up high in the upper rows, in either section A, B or C, pretty much where i have filmed it in this video, it is closer to the hairpin and tv screen. Sometimes you will get cars going off or overtakes on that hairpin which is cool to see. Hope you get the seats you want and have an amazing time, i can almost guarantee you will be going back the year after, ill never forget my 1st time although it was very different back then, but still such a buzz. Not a stupid question at all Razz. When you book your tickets, you can pick the exact seat you want, just make sure that you book asap if there is a particular seat you want.

Loved the video and this is exactly what I needed! This will be my first race I will be going to and will be bringing a couple friends, so its up to me to sort the tickets and grandstands out. For what you were explaining in another comment, I will 100% chose the Fangio stand but am a little worried all a lot of tickets for that stand will be sold out with the Aus GP access presale. From previous years did you find having trouble getting good seats for that area with the general sale? (I will attempt to buy the tickets as soon as the tickets come out the sale)

IF they keep some seats back for General Sale you should be sweet, but looking now...there is not a lot left as i am a GP Access Pre-Sale and got mine at 2pm today. The higher levels got access yesterday at 10am....i had a plan B, C and D and in the end had to opt for Plan E as seats kept disappearing. You an log in now and see what is still there, you just can't access the tickets
