let me just revise the classification my past self gave to Split Rock Rapids because there's no chance that's a class 3 - more like Class 1+ maybe 2 :p

New subscriber. I used to do outdoor things so often, now I’m in my 30’s, married with kids, and sole provider with a demanding job, and I only get out camping/hiking/skiing a few times a year as of late. This is inspiring me to be more intentional, plan some trips and get back out. Thank you!

A wolverine would be bulkier, with cream markings and a feathered tail. A mink would be much smaller. An otter slinks on shorter legs, it doesn't run. A pine marten typically is redder, with white markings. I'm going to say fisher. Otherwise known as a fisher cat, so he was half right!

The tail is awfully long, almost as long as it's body... And the proportions of the body, it's elongated face, and tall ears tipped in a lighter color... to me it looks less like a Marten and more like a Fisher. At first I saw Mink but its legs are too long and its back too shapely.
