Why have more fps in the menu? I have a 360 Hz display and I limit my fps in the menu to 60 so my pc doesn't waste it's resources. I get that there are a lot of people with 144 Hz and the default 120 could be pushed a bit to reflect this, but there are also people with just 120 Hz, and people with 240 Hz. So why didn't they default the limit to 144 fps? Or 240 fps so they too won't have the "skipping frames" issue 3kliksphilip pointed out? Why not detect the refresh rate from the OS and default the limit to that, the first time they launch CS? The same as your graphics settings get set to recommended values depending on your hardware.

I hope they do some work on the linux version/vulkan renderer. I cant play the game with how bad it performs for me. My system should be able to handle cs2 running at 60fps, lowest settings at 720p (i7 6700k, 1050ti, 16gb ram) but it runs like trash. Thats with the performance scale option as well. I have seen other linux users that have the same issue where the game is running at 60+ fps but feels laggy and unplayable (like for me). Vsync also introduces a weird lag that feels like network lag rather than fps drops. Cs2 runs fine on the steam deck from what i can tell, so i really dont see it being my hardware as outdated as it may be. Also i would like to see them allow a fps lock lower than 60fps, i have seen my frames drop below 60 but never below 40, so having a 45fps lock might help with this issue. But even locking it to 60fps seems to make my game run a bit worse for some reason.

Ah, thank you!
How nice of Valve to add so much new content for all the cheaters to play!
I have played some of the maps that have been added / teased to be coming. I wish I didn't have to use console commands to make the bots better, I wish it was at least a way to just chill look at your skins and get somewhat of a challenge
it'd cool to see u test what's the input lag difference between gsync + vsync + reflex like valve recommends, or gsync + reflex but uncapped fps!
blurbusters already has done this and you definitely should use vsync set to on but in control panel not in game
@@wizardd yeah, but they tested it in ow not cs2. also valve recommends enabling vsync in game, they said they have some specific input processing optimizations for vsync in the faq page
