My top three is TLOU2, RDR2, and TLOU1. In my opinion, TLOU2 doesn’t deserve the hate it gets. I swear, people make stuff up to hate this game. Stuff they shake off on other games, make a glaring flaw in TLOU2. I’ve noticed a lot if someone disliked the story, they discredit everything else in the game that’s phenomenal.
Batman v Superman suffered the same hate as LOU 2, although its a movie, because people expected it to be as light hearted as the MCU. But gradually, people loved the movie. I hope, in time, people love LOU 2
What really touched me in Uncharted 4 was the history of Nate and Sam's family. That chat with Evelyn was one of the most (if not THE most) emotional scenes I could remember in any game. It was especially impactful to me after reading the notes about *her* family history, which unfortunately was a heartbreaking one.
just listening to the tlou1 and 2 soundtracks fills my eyes with tears man.... 9 months later and i still get emotional just thinking or hearing someone talk about tlou2. a truly revolutionary game with amazing characters ! second favorite is god of war and 3rd is between uncharted 4 and RDR2.
Last of us 2 will always be my favourite game . The emotions we go through in this game is just something that other games couldn't give . I have played god of war , ghost of tshushima and even Last of us 1 but Last of us 2 exceeds with its tension and twist and turns in the narrative. I don't care what others think about this game, this game is a masterpiece in itself. My own favourite games list would be - 1. Last of us part 2 2. God of war 2018 3. Halo combat evolt 4. Last of us 1 5. Uncharted 4 6. COD modern warfare 2 and 3 7. Ghost of tshushima 8. Horizon zero dawn 9. Spiderman miles Morales 10. Marvels Spider man PS4
Here’s my list: 10. DOOM Eternal 9. GTA V remastered 8. Horizon Zero Dawn 6. Ghost of Tsushima 5. Marvel’s Spider Man 4. Resident Evil 2 3. God of War 2. Red Dead Redemption 2 1. The Last of Us Part II
The last of us part 2 was a serious masterpiece with such a concept that weak minds cannot understand and I will never forget the journey and the emotion that naughty dog gave me
@@crazyinsane500 That’s just a way for them to justify their opinion on the game being good instead of actually giving a reason on why it’s good. It’s normally “only mature people understand this” or “you’re just not smart enough to get what the story is trying to say”
Just because someone doesn’t like TLOU 2, doesn’t make mean they have a “weak mind.” You TLOU fanboys are so damn ignorant. You’re so in love with this game that you don’t wanna hear anything but praise😂
Great video as always! Here's my list. 1) The Last Of Us Part 2 2) Red Dead Redemption 2 3) God of War 4) Uncharted 4 5) The Last Of Us Remastered 6) Spec Ops: The Line 7) Ghost of Tsushima 8) Control 9) Doom Eternal 10) Inside
I am so glad to have played all my favourite games the Last of Us Part 1 Remake The Last of Us Part 2 Red Dead Redemption 2 and Ghost of Tsushima last year. Definitely improved my year. They all made me love storytelling and gaming even more than I already did. I think about them all the time.
It's not that their haters it's that they are Joel lovers the game is incredible but what people are upset about is that they did one of the most memorable characters ever so dirty like I really enjoyed the game but if they would have made it where they didn't beat your fav character to death an spit on him it would have been my favorite game ever.
Agreed. Best game I've ever played. Better than any movie or book out there. Never has a medium took me on such an emotional roller coaster ride. It's visually beautiful too.
The thing i love most about this channel is how it grew out of love and enjoyment not hate. So many channel when TLOU2 Came out got boosted from the negativity they spread, rather if it was just not liking the game, or trying to bash it for "political" reasons. But you never did that, you stuck to what you enjoyed and showed others how to enjoy, and im glad i found your channel and that its growing through positivity.
I once hated tlou2 to the point I was brainwashed by all the hate and returned it to gamestop even though I liked it but because of this channel and other videos for why the game is actually great I bought the game again and I'm glad I learned to embrace the game and play it again no game has made me so emotional
Darryl, thanks for your lovely comment. It truly touches my heart to see how many amazing people like you and others around the world actually enjoy what I try to do here in AP Nerds. Sharing my passion of gaming with you guys and creating a positive community in the process so that any gamer can feel safe to share their own thoughts and views is what i strive for and i can't believe this channel has been growing. Red Dead Redemption 2 1. The Last Of Us 1 & 2 My honorable mentions: - The Witcher 3 - Detroit Become Human - Resident Evil 7 and RE 2 Remake - Horizon Zero Dawn - GTA 5 - Sekiro Shadows Die Twice
This is my list: 10. InFamous second son 9. Spiderman PS4 8. Batman Arkham Knight 7. Uncharted trilogy 6. Uncharted 4 5. God of War 4. Tlou 3. RDR 2 2. Death Stranding 1. Tlou 2
Infamous series is a great game series. I also liked Spiderman PS4 (best Spiderman game so far). Batman Arkham Knight is also great, although there is a few areas that fell short in terms of boss fights. Uncharted trilogy is one of the greatest Playstation series. God of War is also one of the greatest, although I never played the older trilogy before God of War (2018). The Last of Us is a masterpiece, but its a shame I played it so late. RDR 2...masterpiece. Best western cowboy game. I haven't played Death Stranding. Is it good? Should I play it? And there is TLOU 2. Divisive game I know, but it really left a mark on me, compared to the other games on the list.
@@ryanli8371 I really do. Death Stranding is a great game overall. Just gotta know that it's not a Cod or Doom, it's very long and big, like RDR2. But yeah, I recommend it to you.
My top 3 best games of all time are GOW, RE2 Remake and TLOU2. I personally don't like open world games but I believe some like GTA V, RDR2 and GOT would be absolute masterpieces.
I normally do not like top 10 game reviews as I feel it is very difficult to put across the merits of games so briefly. However, this is one of the very few exceptions. I enjoy this review very much. Thank you.
Finally, a few games I absolutely love, but unfortunately didn't make this list: 1. Spiderman Miles Morales - while I admit I prefer the 2018 game, it's by very little. The story of Miles Morales was still very engaging, the boss fights, while on a lower quantity, felt more challenging and epic, especially the final one, and I'm so glad Insomniac were able to implement new game plus from day one. 2. Devil May Cry 5 - this game has easily my favorite modern soundtrack and my favorite boss implementation. Also, the style point system kept encouraging me to make more combos. 3. Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix - definitely the best Kingdom Hearts game in my opinion. Awesome story, nice side quests, satisfying ending, and almost every boss fight there felt at least somewhat epic when playing on critical mode (I say almost, because Jafar was a pushover). 4. Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time - hilarious story with an ending that cracks me up to this day, as expected, fun 100 percent completion (except for 2 specific levels), a cool variety of skins that aren't monetized, and even some more playable characters. The only issue here to me is that Toys for Bob went overboard with the 106 percent completion requirements.
Fantastic video my brother. Sorry to hear you were bullied. Props to you for your candour. I hope you’ve used the experience to develop greater inner strength and resilience. Keep up the brilliant work. 🙏🏻
Cracking video. My top 10 are 1) The Last Of Us Part 2 2) Batman Arkham Knight 3) Hitman 3 4) Horizon Zero Dawn 5) Persona 5 6) God Of War 7) Dirt Rally 8) Alien Isolation 9) Resident Evil 7 10) Uncharted 4
A perfectly solid list. I can’t say I agree with the top 2, as RDR2 is probably the best narrative I’ve ever experienced and Arthur is my favorite character in all media. The experience alone elevated the game beyond all else for me. I do appreciate the inclusion of GoT though, a HIGHLY underrated game
Here’s mine: 1.Persona 5 2. God of War 2018 3. Uncharted 4 4. Red Dead 2 5. Doom Eternal 6. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 7. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 8. Bloodborne 9. Tlou2 10. Infamous Second Son. I didn’t include remasters because let’s be honest. This list would be WAAAAYY more different if that was the case. The only game that would still hold its placement even if I include remasters is probably Persona 5.
Bloodborne, the last guardian, shadow of the collosus, doom, wolfenstien, gravity rush 2, last of us 2, nier automata, devil may cry 5, red dead 2, sekiro.
Guessed your top 4! I’d give TLOU2 the best story but overall its got to be The Witcher 3 for me. I want to rank GOT high but its just another empty open world game for me.
My top 10: 10. Jedi Fallen Order 9. The Witcher 3 8. Mortal Kombat 11 7. Shadow of Mordor 6. Resident Evil 7&8 5. Final Fantasy 7 Remake 4. Devil May Cry 5 3. Spiderman PS4 2. God of War 2018 1. Red Dead Redemption 2 Honourable mentions: Ghost of Tsushima, Little Nightmares 1&2, AC Black Flag, Arkham Knight, Horizon Zero Dawn, Doom Eternal
The Last of Us also has an Online Muti- Player Called Factions MP. It's PvP 4 Vs 4 Player. Firefly vs Hunters. Sadly there no infected in this Game mode or PVE. It still has a solid fan base from the PS3 Error.
My list top 10 10. Days gone ( very underrated zombie game deek reminds me of Rick Grimes and darryl from the walking dead) 9. Watch dogs 2 ( I love the vibe I love that you can have fun and hack instead of being a cold killer all the time) 8. Gta 5 ( it's a rockstar game who doesn't love gta ) 7. Far cry 5 ( my favorite ubisoft series 6. Uncharted trilogy ( nathan drake is a legend) 5. God of war ( I'm a kratos fan) 4. The last of us remastered ( nostalgic best ps game) 3. Ghost of tsushima ( best samurai game ever 2. The last of us part II ( very special to me most emotional game I've played ❤ 1. You know what's number 1. Red dead redemption 2🤠 ( words can't Express my love for this game Masterpiece I would do honorable mentions but I said enough
I really lost my faith in humanity on internet specifically with TLOU2. Everybody started fighting with each other just because some like the game and others don't. If you say you loved or didn't like it a bunch of people will criticize with no reason. Everyone needs to respect other's opinions and saying yours not criticizing and thinking your point is right. I'll never judge someone who doesn't have the same perspective as me, just when it disrespects and affects me and others negatively. Even if I agree with the affirmation in some point like: Example: "TLOU2 is a masterpiece and you should be ashamed for not liking it" I'll judge cuz I know it's offensive and disrespectful for some people. This has to stop.
Nobody should ever feel like they don’t have a voice. That is why I try to create an environment in this channel in which we can have everyone state their views without feeling like they are gonna be shitted on. If you wanna say TLOU2 is a masterpiece and people should try it, that’s great. We can talk about that and you can give reasons why you think that without being judged. Or you can say you disliked TLOU2 and give your own views why, and be respected for that. Like you said, I kind of lost faith in humanity when all of this happened because it seemed like a never ending cycle of fighting with no clear resolution. I guess that is why I was motivated in creating this channel cause I just had enough of that.
They will call you stupid and braindead and say you have a poor taste in games just because you found beauty in a game they hated the gaming community is so toxic
@@ghost-j4r it's a sad reality, but at least there are people in this community that understand that there are other ways to discuss even if we differ in opinions, and hopefully in the near future, a good chunk of this community can wake up and actually try to listen to each other.

Nice list, although I would've probably swapped days gone and Witcher 3 but that's just my opinion. Witcher 3 was fucking amazing. I'd also put walking dead season 2 or season 4 somewhere on the list.
Here’s my top 10 10. Ghost of Tsushima 9. Witcher 3 8. Arkham Knight 7. God of War Ragnarok 6. God of War(2018) 5. Red Dead Redemption 2 4. Spider-man 3. Uncharted 4 (My top two are my two favorite things of all time and nothing else compares to them for me) 2. Last of Us 1. Last of Us Part 2
My personal favorite games of this generation so far is definitely The Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Skyrim, God of War (2018), Ghost of Tsushima, and The Last of Us Part II. In fact, I count The Last of Us Part II as one of the greatest games I have played all time, not number 1, but one of the greatest. And I know more people preferred GoT over TLOU 2, which GoT won player’s choice awards. Let’s get one thing clear, I think the general consensus of why more people like GoT more than TLOU 2 is because it’s not really an emotionally and bias challenging game to play. The players are not put into a position where they find their biases/beliefs being challenged and its a relatively more comfortable game to play, a more ideal game for them. Besides, there’s nothing so bias challenging when our samurai fantasy is made reality. I genuinely believe this is one of the reason why most people prefer GoT over TLOU 2, but some people just use GoT as an excuse to continue further trash and hate TLOU 2 for whatever their reasons. But the way I see it, both GoT and TLOU 2 are masterpieces in their own right. I know some people would prefer GoT get game of the year award instead of TLOU 2. Even if Ghost of Tsushima DID win game of the year 2020, it’s still a win for Sony. And I know that Sony is going on a good streak with very good exclusive games so far. Off topic. It’s funny to see that sometimes a divisive art (entertainment wise speaking) is what gets the most attention, spotlight, nominated, and get awarded. People seem to have developed a stigma that if an art is divisive, it is bad and must be hated. Not true. I want to be very clear this, this is not the first time that a divisive art took the internet by storm and a lot of people starts losing their minds over it. We had quite a good numbers of either movies and games that divided the audience in the past and people proceeded attack the arts and the “artists” because of their artistic decisions. A lot of instances that these divisive arts turned off a lot of audiences/gamers because they challenged their realm of comfort, their realm of biases. I believe this is the general consensus of the audiences’ reaction towards a divisive arts. There is A LOT of examples, but the most recent examples that I want to compare TLOU 2 with is Zack Snyder’s Batman vs Superman. And a lot of us know that Zack Snyder was target of controversies and hate in the past because of his artistic creativity in his films. (Spoiler below) I get that BvS is not exactly a perfect example to compare and contrast with TLOU 2 because they set in very different universes, very different characters, very different settings, very different story and very different contexts. But both pieces of arts share some similarities. One obvious example is the audiences’ receptions. When BvS came out, it divided the audience because the there is a lot of elements that did not “fit” the audiences’ perception of what a comic book movie is supposed to be, besides how the plot appeared to be incoherent (which is remedied through the Ultimate Edition). People complained that Superman is not that “boy scout” who is supposed to be always smiling when saving people, Batman is killing in this film when he is not supposed to and Lex Luther is not acting like the cold, calm, and calculated man that we’re familiar with. Superman is hated and feared by many in the movie because he is foreigner and alien to humans on Earth. Nothing to smile about that. Batman starts killing more because he became jaded, hardened, and grizzled after 20 years of seeing the worst of humanity in the criminals/villains, especially after losing Jason Todd. There are many videos on YT that analyzes BvS in a more positive light and providing more positive viewpoints rather than attacking or criticizing it for not being what they wanted it to be, just like TLOU 2. One major element that TLOU 2 and BvS do share in common is that both delve into the realistic and darker parts of humanity. BvS shows how people are afraid and hating Superman because of his godlike abilities and the potential threat against humanity, which is one of the reasons that drove Batman to fight him. TLOU 2 explores how humans who are overcome by vengeance and hatred can become destructive monsters and the consequences that it creates. Not just that but how our tribalism can fuel our desire to enact violence against an opposing group, which is shown between the war of Serephites and WLF. In some ways, I can see some parallels with Ellie and Batman, as both characters are set onto a path of darkness and driven by rage. "That's how it starts. The fever, the rage, the feeling of powerlessness… that turns good men… cruel." While Ellie’s motivation is driven more by grief/self-hatred than retribution, Alfred’s quote still applies in some ways. In contrast, Batman is driven by retribution because Superman inadvertently caused serious damage and took many lives when he is fighting Zod in MoS, even though he tried to justify on killing Superman because of his potential threats. Both Ellie and Batman are also very close to damning themselves forever. Ellie/Batman are at the verge of killing their sworn enemy, Abby/Superman, (even though the context that led to the fight is very different). Ellie is going to drown Abby and Batman is holding his kryptonite spear ready to impale Superman with it. Both of them are ready to kill their enemy, but it only took ONE moment for both Ellie and Batman to stop their course of action before damning themselves forever. Ellie has that flashback of Joel at the porch and Superman telling batman to save Martha (I know this scene was ridiculed and misunderstood by a lot of people, but there are videos that does good jobs at explaining the scene). The reason that both Ellie and Batman backs out from their journey of darkness at the last moment is different, but both could have become no better than the person who took away their loved ones. Ellie taking Abby away from Lev and Batman taking Clark away from Martha, which essentially making him like Joe Chill. Abby and Superman also parallels, in some small ways. Both characters are hated (minus being feared). Superman is hated (in the movie) for his god-like existence and the power he possesses, especially by Lex Luther. Abby is hated (by us) for the act of killing Joel to avenge her father. Both characters are hated for different reasons (one in the movie and one in real world), but both are misunderstood. Superman is trying to find meaning and reasons to live in a world that hates him. Abby is trying recover and move forward from her trauma of losing her father in a broken civilization. Both characters are written as very human and realistic. Both BvS and TLOU 2 are a spitting image of our society because like I said, both arts delve into the darker and realistic parts of humanity, especially when both of them makes us question the morality of human beings. “20+ years in a world consumed by cordyceps fungus, we’ve seen what humanity has to offer. How many good guys are left? How many stayed that way?” Funny thing is, the people who absolutely hate TLOU 2 in some ways parallels with Lex Luther who hates Superman who will do everything in his power to destroy him. They also parallels to Wallace Keefe in some ways too, the man who lost both his legs during the Metropolis attack, who are genuinely embittered and angry by the loss of Joel and how the story turned out is equivalent of Wallace becoming embittered of losing his legs and his wife. The continuous hate towards TLOU 2 even after getting the GOTY award is equivalent of Wallace climbing onto Superman’s statue and defacing it. Both TLOU 2 and BvS are divisive and misunderstood by a lot of people due to the creator’s artistic decisions. Martha’s quote “People hate what they don’t understand” also applies to TLOU 2. I believe that TLOU 2 is one of the cases of an art “being ahead of its time”, like so many of Snyder’s movies. Its a shame that this game was released at a time when the world is not at its best state. But in time, perhaps more people will come to appreciate it, just like BvS. So AP Nerds what do you think? I know I went off topic about the top 10 games, but I had to write this down because I still can’t stop thinking about TLOU 2. BvS just so happens to what comes to my mind when I think of divisive arts.
great video! I think it’s a sin to not include the Witcher 3 in at least the top 5 but I agree with a lot of these! I’m the same way with game soundtracks. My most played track on Spotify last year was Unbroken By Gustavo lol I just learned it on guitar too.

I fully agree with this list until last of us 2, the gameplay and graphics are amazing the story’s pacing and format was just off shouldn’t have peaked 40% through the story and then spent the rest of the game trying to get back to there
I wouldn't consider God of War 4 flawless, as great as it was. Traveling there felt dragging, even with the portals. Mimir was able to alleviate this with his stories, but when he ran out of stories, it just felt boring. Most of the boss fights there were repetitive to the point of embarrassment. Specifically the stone wielding ogre and the soul devourer. The latter was cool at first, but was hurt by the repetition. Niflheim, as challenging and epic as the realm tears there are, was way too grindy. I got to play God of War 3 afterwards, after looking up the cutscenes of the first two, and that game felt so much better. Proper platforming, no repetition in boss fights (or hardly anything), and even more satisfying combat system. Also, almost every boss fight there felt epic in the level of the Valkyries from God of War 4 (I say almost, because Hermes was pathetic). Plus, as great as the story in God of War 4 is, it has a few inconsistencies with previous God of War games. Like, for instance, how did Kratos get the blades of chaos again? They were stripped off him by Ares in God of War 1. I'm also not a fan of the cliffhanger ending there that made this whole game feel like a 30+ hour commercial to the sequel. Now, don't get me wrong. I still enjoyed this game a lot. Especially the Valkyries battles (defeating Sigrun was one of the most satisfying moments in gaming I could remember). I just don't think it's flawless.
I agree. God of War (2018) definitely could have more variety in terms of boss fights and repayable contents. I think the challenges in musphelheim is also repetitive after defeating the Valkyrie there. You just repeat the challenges to get the materials for the smoldering armors. Even though I didn't play the previous God of War games (only watching the cutscenes), I also liked God of War 4. Fantastic game, but not 100% flawless.
@@ryanli8371 There's a remaster of God of War 3 available on ps4. The only possible turn-off there is that there are quite a few QTEs. Not too many, but still. Though if you can handle that, I totally recommend you give this game a shot.

Lol weak minds
@@crazyinsane500 That’s just a way for them to justify their opinion on the game being good instead of actually giving a reason on why it’s good. It’s normally “only mature people understand this” or “you’re just not smart enough to get what the story is trying to say”

I normally do not like top 10 game reviews as I feel it is very difficult to put across the merits of games so briefly. However, this is one of the very few exceptions. I enjoy this review very much. Thank you.
Finally, a few games I absolutely love, but unfortunately didn't make this list:

Even if I agree with the affirmation in some point like:
Example: "TLOU2 is a masterpiece and you should be ashamed for not liking it"
I'll judge cuz I know it's offensive and disrespectful for some people.

4. Spider-man
3. Uncharted 4
(My top two are my two favorite things of all time and nothing else compares to them for me)
2. Last of Us
(Spoiler below)
I get that BvS is not exactly a perfect example to compare and contrast with TLOU 2 because they set in very different universes, very different characters, very different settings, very different story and very different contexts.
How many stayed that way?”
Funny thing is, the people who absolutely hate TLOU 2 in some ways parallels with Lex Luther who hates Superman who will do everything in his power to destroy him.

Bro great video been waiting for this one and I agree 100% with this considering tlou is my favorite game ever i agree so I’m a bit biased😅
😅😅
For me The Last of Us Part 2 is the best game of all time!!! And of course Part1 too
Should i get The witcher 3?
My top tree is uncharted 1,2 and 3
Ur back! Willkommen unter den Lebenden. I dont know how to write it in english, so translate it xD
I‘m tired somehow.
My fav game of all time stays the last of us 2.
Your gaming taste is fantastic and similar to mine 😇
I just started playing ghost of tsushima and i can't believe this but i am enjoying ghost of tsushima more than last of us 2 in my opinion. I mean i love last of us 2 but man ghost of tsushima is lit!!!
I am so glad i have finally finished school it took a long time to finish because of covid and iraq doesn't know wtf are they doing but hey i can play me some ghost and some free games playstation gave us
i'm very happy you are enjoying Ghost of Tsushima. It is an absolute beast of a game
Ok, I see you put Red Dead Redemption 2 on this list.
This video is too professional for you to have this little subs
Good list but I would’ve chose horizon zero dawn over GTA V
What are your top 3 stories of any media?
My man getting sponsors :D
Good luck with this UA-cam thing!
Thanks buddy 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Disappointed that Persona 5 Royal 👑 isn’t on the list
Dude i thought your opinions on got and gow has changed. 😂💔
Last of us 2 is the best game in ps4
Yeah god of war 2018 will always be my second favorite GOW game, but it most definitely does have its flaws. I think God of War 3 is much better.
Should I play tlou 2 without playing part 1
You need to play part 1 first. The only way to appreciate or understand part 2
Uncharted 4 is too low on this list.
You'll get no judgement from me, man. I like watching How I Met Your Mother too. 👍
It’s my guilty pleasure. I love that show to bits
I would swap days gone with Horizon zero dawn.. and doom eternals with the witcher 3
I agree👌
Uhmm... I think you haven't played bloodborne... that right??
you truly need to buy a thesaurus
I wish I liked rdr2 as much as everyone else 🙂 the story was so repetitive, I only enjoyed hunting.
Yow can u rate ps3 games 🙏
I really want to buy god of war 2018 but i can't cuz i use to own god of war 3 and i did something stupid I showed one of the sex scenes and after that i'm not allowed to buy god of war
Where is knack?
LMAO. How could I forget the GOAT of Video Games. My bad 😅
