This is exactly why you see the lexus F cars on the used market going for as much as the turbo charge Germans. The market knows those cars have a life span...
My question is: Are they really working on a new V8 to superceed the 2UR-GSE? I mean I highly doubt that unless you know something I don't. And I don't know everything so...you might surprise me. But Lex is rushing to push BEV's out. No V8 in the new LX so im not so hot on the new V8 coming out even tho id love it.
Not quite. The internals are not exactly the same, nor is the compression ratio. The 5.0L in the LS600 is an extension of the 1UR-FE 4.6L in the LS460.
I couldn't agree more.
Any manufacture is capable of designing a high output engine. The real trick is making them reliable.
My GS F V8 is a beast. No issues after 7 years.

Agree and I came from BMW 😊 I have a 2008 ISF and I love it 😀 😍
“468 HP is not that much?” 😂
These cars are Grand tourers - not Sports cars.
Excellent point on reliability and dependability - can’t beat Toyota.
I definitely agree. This Engine the best
I love my 2024 LC500 coupe with the 5.0 V8 ❤️
This engine is top notch in quality and reliability, but the Hyundai 5.0L is also very reliable and a noteworthy example as well.
Love my LC500.
Hmm wonder I'd the engine is for sale... I'd love to put this engine on a MK5 Supra

The Lexus ls600 has this engine

Does it have the water pump seals issues?
No
Yes. It's common in this V8. Coolant on the valley.
Nope. Mine 7 years old, no issues.
So why is it the best? I thought this would be technical review of engine? Useless video imo
