PART 2: INSTALLATION OF DCT FOOT LEVER SHIFT KIT

This is Part 2 of a three video series showing the installation and operation of the DCT foot shift lever kit on my NC700XD. It’s a pretty straight forward step by step review of the installation process of the Honda accessory foot shift lever kit ( part number 08U70-MGS-J51 ) on my bike. The foot shift lever kit works exactly the same as the handlebar mounted shift paddles, except that it allows the rider to use either the foot shift lever or shift paddles to over-ride computer gear shift selections. It does not interfere with any other functions of the motorcycle or transmission.

Glad it was helpful. I'm riding a 1100 DCT Rebel - it has larger up/down buttons and I don't mind not have a foot shifter.

Hello Emilio Iervolino, if you correctly installed the shift lever kit, the most likely problem you have is "registering" the kit with the NC700 computer. The procedure is detailed in the Installation Manual cssportal.css-club.net/honda/MCA/TERMS010.aspx (see the write up for my intro video ua-cam.com/video/lo0CoE-dEls/v-deo.html in this series for how to download it). It's easy enough and I would try to summarize but without the diagrams, you would be the worse for my efforts. Good luck.

Since the part ( 08U70-MGS-J51 ) was not available from USA Honda motorcycle dealers, I ordered one from a dealer in Japan and had it shipped here. WEBike has the part, for about 180 USD : japan.webike.net/

How do you register the foot switch to the bike , or is it plug and play.

Hello, I have been investigating my nc and I can not find the connection to turn on the pedal ... can you tell me if there is another way to put the pedal? My nc750sdct year 2017 may not be compatible ... thanks

The part is compatible and does fit NC750 DCT models - see this: japan.webike.net/products/20448924.html . Keep looking. The connection on the bike it tucked away and hard to see. When you have the kit, it will be easy to match the connection on the kit to the connection on the NC750.
