Great stuff Adrian. I had no idea you could lower or raise the gear change and rear brake leavers like that. My rear brake leaver has always been a little low but just thought that's they way it had to be. Thanks for posting this. You'll never know what you'll learn from watching your videos :-)
Hey there, I came across this video and I want to get lower foot pegs for my 750x aswell. How are those foot pegs holding up until today and have you got any problems with your turns, are the pegs touching the ground in sharp turns?
Pegs still as good as new. Yes it’s more likely you will drag a toe if you are in the habit of tilting your feet forward. But I haven’t actually dragged the pegs.
Still haven't bought any, I think I will go first with a handle bar raiser and a new seat. It's getting colder where I live, so I wont change anything for the next 4 months I guess@@davidabkk
literally every time i go to do something maintenance or upgrade wise on my bike and look it up, you're there with a vid on how to do it. sir you are of epic proportions. can i ask though, does 40mm REALLY make a difference>? i was looking at 50mm extensions for the pegs as a maximum comfort thing (with the addition of a much taller seat if i could get one), but not sure if thats **too** much or if it affects the safe lean angle distance. keep those vids coming! much appreciated
Fir3Blad3 - I found 40mm made a significant difference (I’m 190cm). But it’s subjective as to whether you need 50, and how aggressive you ride whether ground clearance would be an issue.
I’m 6-1 and going to do the same on my Suzuki sv650. Love my bike but hate the sitting position. Wish the short Japanese would take us tall American into consideration.

hi my friend I've got exactly same food pegs from Amazon but the mounting set at Spring it is not even, looks too much longer , did you sand it or something like that?
Great Chanel Adrian, lean't so much about my bike through you, so thanks - i'm a silver biker too after years away and loving it again! I've lowered the pedals with the same set up. My only problem is the brake lever peg now feels short to reach as my foot sits further to the right of it. Any ideas on extending that metal peg to make it more comfortable to slide onto and off?
Geeman58 - the lever is steel. Get it extended. Any engineering company of mate with a welder could do the job. I did this with the gear lever. And thanks for the kind words.
I'm a new rider and at a height of 201cm, I will really need to lower the pegs of the nc700 .. I sat on the bike and didn't feel it too small, but I'll see when I get to ride it. Us tall people don't have many options, do we? Suggestions? I'm looking at v-strom, 700 transalp, BMW g650gs, versys, tenere.. 🤔
197cm. I rode a NC750X at a demo for about 30 minutes, and one hip managed to cramp up FIERCELY! Seemingly every question I have about the NC7**X bikes, though, this channel has an answer for.
Refinery strong enough for my 100kg body standing on them. And they have stood the test of time. Grip? They aren’t dirt-bike grip. They don’t cut up the boot soles like a dirt bike peg does.
Man, got an nc700x, installed the exact same pegs and damn right they're comfortable. Since these also push your feet outwards Now the problem is the shifter peg and rear break knob are too short so I have ro turn in the tip of my feet to reach them. Did you find this problem and if so how did you solve it?
@@AfricaTwin-Stuff thanks for your reply. I did see the shifter welding but to me doesn't look like much so thought you might have added something else, same for the other side. Guess it's a matter of getting used to it. Thanks again, man.
Hi again :) i am thinking of doing this. Have you noticed any difference in road vibration between the original rubber pegs and these all metal replacements?
ChromHarpman - good question. I was wondering this myself before I changed them. But can honestly say NO I haven’t noticed any increase in vibration through the pegs. However I wear adventure boots so that might be a factor.
It was bought on eBay a long time ago and the listing is no longer available. But you should be able to find the same by searching in eBay Honda NC750x front foot pegs
how much ground clearance did you really loose though? because with the stock pegs they have those looooong nubs under the peg (look around 40 mm long) that touches down , these new ones dont have them so id assume it was not much of a loss. I ordered the same ones and they should be here tomorrow. im on a cruiser and really didnt want to loose any clearance bc I scrap all the time but my legs are way to cramped.
mrporky594 - extra fuel would always be nice, but even in Oz there are are few places I need more than a 350-400km range. Best option is to carry a 5ltr container if you really need more.
@@AfricaTwin-Stuff Thanks for the reply. Just a thought since perhaps some of your viewers have issues with the small range that the bike offers. But since it ain't feasible for you then it's alright. :)
@@AfricaTwin-Stuff I live in an area where petrol cost 3 times compared to neighbouring country. Hence in order to save on making the trip cross the border, a larger tank would be suitable. Then lean your weight on the rear of the bike till the Mrs is comfortable with the reach to the ground. Measure again to see the amount you need to lower it. Which welding technique is appropriate for the NC brake/gear levers? Are they aluminium or steel? Cheers
They are steel. So choose whatever you are most comfortable with.
