No mother would wash her child's toy after what happened. Ive still got clothes belonging to my mother wrapped in a plastic bag 27 years later to try to keep her scent. The parents are 💯 responsible.
Or everyone reacts differently, I washed everything when my mum died and cleared everything out a week later, she had liver disease and towards her death became a heavy drinker. I didn't do, reason being I know she will always be watching over me and the grief was hard. I also went back to work as soon as I could.
Kate never searched for Maddie, went running 3 days later, washed the teddy, left the twins, compared it to her back garden even though she could not see the doors an was few minutes away, staged the shutter windows, dismissed the police dogs
When you lose a loved one (break up, death, kidnap the least you want to lose is their smell and the sound of their voice. Washing the soft toy was a super big flag for me
As Gerry said in an interview when it was suggested his and Kate's situation was a parents worst nightmare, "It could have been worse, we could have lost all three children." What grieving parent would say that, really?
Kate served as a hostile witness in the police investigation of the disappearance of her beloved daughter. An uncooperative witness when questioned by the police during their investigation in order to find her beloved daughter. Why? Not only was she and is still a person of interest, it’s safe to say that her and her husband bear the responsibility for the death of their beloved daughter. A Grieving , desperate mother would never act that way, but a guilty, shady mother would.
Take it from someone who has done some horrible things nothing on this level but they haven't got away with anything every second of every day they are going over and over it it's their punishment.
One night (long before mobile phones and even our own home phone) my elder brother aged over 16 if I recall, didn't come home from school, and my parents eventually contacted police at around 7pm. The very first thing that happened was a thorough search of our house! I believe this is/was standard practice as it is the most likely place where a missing person will be found going from data collected over many years of reported missing children. Parents and family are always the first line of inquiry and therefore first to get the chance to be 'ruled out' of the investigation. Kate McCann's silence speaks volumes. My brother eventually returned having been helping with a lighting rig for the school play!
I think the Portugeuse police did what was as thorough as could be considering the circumstances. By the time they got there half of the holiday resort had trampled through the apartment!
The Portuguese police/authorities for me are ultimately to blame for basically giving up on this case. Either due to pressure from the British establishment or due to the fact it "only" concerned foreign tourists.
Imo, Kate McCann responded with no comment on all 48 questions because it was the first time Kate and Gerry were being interviewed on their own. Gerry answered questions while Kate said no comment to everything. On previous interviews Gerry had sat behind Kate squeezing her shoulder. Kate couldn't risk answering these questions, potentially stating different things to what Gerry was saying, and creating even more discrepancies.
I have a memory that has stayed with me all these years. The day after her disappearance, one of the morning TV show in the UK were interviewing 2 members of Kate's family. There were asked what was Madeline like. The older man (I think maybe Kate's uncle) said something along the lines of "oh, she was a bit of a handful". As soon as he said this, he glanced off camera to his right, as if someone was telling him not to got there.
One of the neighbours said that after the McCanns hired the car, the boot was left open for days on end, day and night. It’s obvious they wanted to remove any scent of corpse from the car.
The reason I heard on the Netflix series as to why Kate didn’t answer these questions was because they were labelled ‘arguido’ or suspects in the case. So they were advised by their legal team to not answer these questions. However if you were an innocent parent you would not be phased about your own reputation if answering these questions meant finding your daughter.
Kate complained that the investigation being focused on her and Gerry meant the investigators weren't out there looking for Maddie. So why not answer the damn questions and exonerate yourself! So they can focus on "the real culprits!" She was the one holding things up.
Yeah they were always saying that in public interviews even. There's evidence that we did such and such.... bizarre, no innocent parent would answer with that.
Sorry in my opinion Gerry is a total narcissist. I lived with one for a long time. I'm not proud of it but he controlled me. Even though Kate is a doctor doesn't mean she can't be controlled by him. I’ve been deep diving this car for years. And there’s a few things that make me suspicious outside what’s out there. No.1. The strange picture of the little girls in a pic of apparently Madeleine in Donegal. She’s apparently in a group pic but it does not look like Madeleine. There’s a lot of speculation around the Donegal visit and for me especially around the government involvement. Both Tony Blair and Gordon brown have family/holiday homes or an association with Donegal. 2. It was Harriet Harmens labour MP nephew Phillip Redmonds who allegedly took the last pic of Madeleine and he left pria de luz cutting his holiday short, shortly after Madeleine went missing. More government connection. Why would a family member of the Oppenheimer’s be at that simple little holiday resort? Harriet is an Oppenheimer, Oppenheimer where owners of De Beers, who had a vested interest in the river tinto acid mines. Which is the unusual off the cuff visit the mccanns made an impromptu visit to, where there is missing time and mileage on the rental car on a bank holiday(so no where would be open and no visitors to apparently hand out flyers for Madeleine. It’s my belief IF madeleine was disposed of that’s where it would have been. Gerrys brother worked with Gordon brown. Gerry gets escorted back to the U.K. for samples of DNA for Madeleine. Why when there should have been some form of trace at the villa. Imo Gerry was escorted back to retrieve some sort of information he may of held in whoever may have more knowledge on the situation. Why did Gerry say in family camera. He wasn’t going on this holiday to “f*cling enjoy himself? What he he mean by that? Soooo many questions but no answers just more and more funding every year.
On the subject of the priest who gave Kate & Gerry a key to his church so that they could access it after hours is a big red flag to me. He had apparently resigned from that church , why??? I always thought about the church, this was shown on the Netflix documentary where the couple had full access to the church. Search the church, there is ways of doing scans of graves & walls / floors that are Nondestructive, (ground pentetrating radar GPR) look for more than one Skeleton in a single grave etc... or something out of place?? Could be why the dogs alerted to the car boot if she was moved to the church later?? Do they or any of the group visit the church when they return back to Portugal ??

Absolutely the case. If you tell the truth it’s easy to recall and you’d be able to answer any questions easily and honestly. But when you’re lying you always trip up and get found out. If they are guilty of some sort of foul play then how they’ve managed to get away with it for so long beggars belief, will we ever know for sure what happened? Probably not, hopefully one day we will.

I don't understand why these they never had the twins removed from their care care after the neglect of leaving 3 children unattended under the age of 5 & 1 allegedly got abducted then to still go off to raise the alarm & leave the twins at risk for a second time I said this from day one

Kate did ask for a priest the night Madeleine allegedly disappeared, we know this because its in her book. I find this very odd but then I'm not religious.

I don't believe Maddie's body was moved in the hire car as I believe the car was contaminated with cadaver odour from the apartment. In my opinion it was Gerry who found Madeleine dead and he panicked but realised he had to get the body out of the apartment. It was unfortunate (for Gerry) that he met the Smith family but it was then that he decided to put the body in a bin and it ended up in landfill. Gerry was missing from the Tapas restaurant for approximately 30 minutes according to two employees, Starikova Vitorino & Joaquim Moreira Batista, who made police statements the next day 04.05.07. According to them when Gerry got back to the restaurant everyone left except for an older lady which was Dianne Webster. This story is a bit different from what the Tapas 9 say!

The PJ twigged on very early what had probably happened. The relevance of the priest question is that KM was/is a Catholic and a priest is requested in certain circumstances, eg when someone has passed away.

It seems probable that the McCanns sedated Madeleine, but gave her too much and that she overdosed. Imagine two doctors found to have administered (albeit mistakenly) a lethal dose of a sedative to a young child, simply because they wanted to enjoy dinner with friends uninterrupted. Their lives and careers would be over, and their time in prison would be hell. This seems to me to be the most compelling motive behind Madeleine's disappearance.
How come they didn’t want to have child care that night, but they left the twins in child care 1-2 days after Madeleine went “missing” I wouldn’t be able to let them out of my sight let alone go for a jog/run lots of question marks in this case.

Hi Steve Im guessing you have watched the Swedish interview 5 years after it happened when Kate is describing what happened when she went to check on the children that night She says that she thought it was strange that the bedroom door where the children were was more open than usual that they leave the door open only a bit because of the light disturbing the children then she walked over to it to pull it to again (she didn't even check the children yet but she was leaving now)but then the door banged shut so she looks behind her thinking draft and had she left door open but it was shut but why look behind you when the door you're in front of bangs shut the door to the kids room opens inwards then she says she opened the door of the kids room that had banged shut and was going to just leave it open a bit to leave a bit of light and only then did she look in and look but it was dark and you know what parents are like they don't want to switch light on but she said first that door was more open so why not see straight away Madeline missing she hadn't even checked but was leaving then she says looks and looks any parent checking their children would go into the room and over to the children make sure not ill ok breathing ok Only then she noticed curtains moving so goes in more sees Madeline is gone None of it makes sense its not logical what she said should have been torn to shreds by police if this is the same statement that she has been repeating for years Let me know what you think If you watch the interview of her in Sweden on the chat show Love to know if ive got it wrong

Everything about them is off. Their behaviour in the days following her disappearance was not the behaviour of frantic parents. Look at Denise Bulger when James went missing. Kate had makeup on, she changed her jewellery etc- weird!

It is certainly such a heartbreaking and intriguing case, with definite overtones of a cover up by the government and police, suggesting something so big to hide, that it seems to be a cover up that extends beyond poor little maddie herself. That in itself is so murky and strange.

On previous interviews Gerry had sat behind Kate squeezing her shoulder.
Kate couldn't risk answering these questions, potentially stating different things to what Gerry was saying, and creating even more discrepancies.

I have a memory that has stayed with me all these years. The day after her disappearance, one of the morning TV show in the UK were interviewing 2 members of Kate's family. There were asked what was Madeline like. The older man (I think maybe Kate's uncle) said something along the lines of "oh, she was a bit of a handful". As soon as he said this, he glanced off camera to his right, as if someone was telling him not to got there.

One of the neighbours said that after the McCanns hired the car, the boot was left open for days on end, day and night. It’s obvious they wanted to remove any scent of corpse from the car.
The reason I heard on the Netflix series as to why Kate didn’t answer these questions was because they were labelled ‘arguido’ or suspects in the case. So they were advised by their legal team to not answer these questions. However if you were an innocent parent you would not be phased about your own reputation if answering these questions meant finding your daughter.
Kate complained that the investigation being focused on her and Gerry meant the investigators weren't out there looking for Maddie. So why not answer the damn questions and exonerate yourself! So they can focus on "the real culprits!" She was the one holding things up.
Yes and if you remember Martin Brunt reported that Kate was the first one going to be charged..did the PJ'S have more on her.
For me, the biggest sign is that the sniffer dogs reacted. They don't make mistakes.

Sorry in my opinion Gerry is a total narcissist. I lived with one for a long time. I'm not proud of it but he controlled me. Even though Kate is a doctor doesn't mean she can't be controlled by him. In my opinion they know what happened to Maddie. And I suppose most of us do to . I get the lawyer apparently told her not to answer but this is your child. Her first born. I would do anything to find my child . Anything.

You are spot on, I also believe it was an accident, overdose of medication and fell over the couch hit her head Gerry found her and took care of the situation! Kate was the one who sedated her and Gerry found her dead! It may have happened on the 2nd or 3rd of May.

I’ve been deep diving this car for years. And there’s a few things that make me suspicious outside what’s out there.
No.1. The strange picture of the little girls in a pic of apparently Madeleine in Donegal. She’s apparently in a group pic but it does not look like Madeleine. There’s a lot of speculation around the Donegal visit and for me especially around the government involvement. Both Tony Blair and Gordon brown have family/holiday homes or an association with Donegal.
2. It was Harriet Harmens labour MP nephew Phillip Redmonds who allegedly took the last pic of Madeleine and he left pria de luz cutting his holiday short, shortly after Madeleine went missing. More government connection. Why would a family member of the Oppenheimer’s be at that simple little holiday resort? Harriet is an Oppenheimer, Oppenheimer where owners of De Beers, who had a vested interest in the river tinto acid mines. Which is the unusual off the cuff visit the mccanns made an impromptu visit to, where there is missing time and mileage on the rental car on a bank holiday(so no where would be open and no visitors to apparently hand out flyers for Madeleine. It’s my belief IF madeleine was disposed of that’s where it would have been. Gerrys brother worked with Gordon brown. Gerry gets escorted back to the U.K. for samples of DNA for Madeleine. Why when there should have been some form of trace at the villa. Imo Gerry was escorted back to retrieve some sort of information he may of held in whoever may have more knowledge on the situation. Why did Gerry say in family camera. He wasn’t going on this holiday to “f*cling enjoy himself? What he he mean by that? Soooo many questions but no answers just more and more funding every year.

On the subject of the priest who gave Kate & Gerry a key to his church so that they could access it after hours is a big red flag to me. He had apparently resigned from that church , why??? Is Madeline in that graveyard or inside the church somewhere??? did they cheque that out ??? Refusing a polygraph test is another flag. 🤬 Love your stream 🤩

I always thought about the church, this was shown on the Netflix documentary where the couple had full access to the church.
Search the church, there is ways of doing scans of graves & walls / floors that are Nondestructive, (ground pentetrating radar GPR)
look for more than one Skeleton in a single grave etc... or something out of place??
Could be why the dogs alerted to the car boot if she was moved to the church later??
Do they or any of the group visit the church when they return back to Portugal ??

Recently I found out that Maddy lived with Kate's family. This started after the twins were born. So the police questions might have some relevance.

Absolutely the case. If you tell the truth it’s easy to recall and you’d be able to answer any questions easily and honestly. But when you’re lying you always trip up and get found out. If they are guilty of some sort of foul play then how they’ve managed to get away with it for so long beggars belief, will we ever know for sure what happened? Probably not, hopefully one day we will.
This is my opinion. What ever way you look at this. The parants are to blame 100%. Rule 1. You never leave your children unattended. All parants should of done prison time. Period. So why didnt they do time.

I don't understand why these they never had the twins removed from their care care after the neglect of leaving 3 children unattended under the age of 5 & 1 allegedly got abducted then to still go off to raise the alarm & leave the twins at risk for a second time

More people need to know this. Even just this one fact... Those unanswered questions... That would prompt most sane people to dig a little deeper.
My first reaction to Mick Philpott was exactly the same as in this story. Her parents will not face justice, though, and neither will the establishment who are covering up something obviously larger than this. It's the tip of the iceberg.

I don't believe Maddie's body was moved in the hire car as I believe the car was contaminated with cadaver odour from the apartment. In my opinion it was Gerry who found Madeleine dead and he panicked but realised he had to get the body out of the apartment. It was unfortunate (for Gerry) that he met the Smith family but it was then that he decided to put the body in a bin and it ended up in landfill. Gerry was missing from the Tapas restaurant for approximately 30 minutes according to two employees, Starikova Vitorino & Joaquim Moreira Batista, who made police statements the next day 04.05.07. According to them when Gerry got back to the restaurant everyone left except for an older lady which was Dianne Webster. This story is a bit different from what the Tapas 9 say!

The PJ twigged on very early what had probably happened. The relevance of the priest question is that KM was/is a Catholic and a priest is requested in certain circumstances, eg when someone has passed away.
If you had nothing to hide, an honest, loving parent would do ANYTHING to help an investigation to find their missing child. Wouldn't they?
Soon after these unanswered questions they were declared high suspects and within 3 days they flew Portugal. I mean, c’mon now..

Since they were not charged with neglect just curious to know because the Portuguese Police assumed that in England a lot of parents leave their children alone at home to go out? Very odd and strange behavior since we are talking about toddlers left alone in a foreign country!!!
It seems probable that the McCanns sedated Madeleine, but gave her too much and that she overdosed. Imagine two doctors found to have administered (albeit mistakenly) a lethal dose of a sedative to a young child, simply because they wanted to enjoy dinner with friends uninterrupted. Their lives and careers would be over, and their time in prison would be hell. This seems to me to be the most compelling motive behind Madeleine's disappearance.

Her overall response to the questioning wreaks overwhelmingly of reasonable suspicion of guilt by omission.
How come they didn’t want to have child care that night, but they left the twins in child care 1-2 days after Madeleine went “missing” I wouldn’t be able to let them out of my sight let alone go for a jog/run lots of question marks in this case.

Im guessing you have watched the Swedish interview 5 years after it happened when Kate is describing what happened when she went to check on the children that night
She says that she thought it was strange that the bedroom door where the children were was more open than usual that they leave the door open only a bit because of the light disturbing the children then she walked over to it to pull it to again (she didn't even check the children yet but she was leaving now)but then the door banged shut so she looks behind her thinking draft and had she left door open but it was shut but why look behind you when the door you're in front of bangs shut the door to the kids room opens inwards then she says she opened the door of the kids room that had banged shut and was going to just leave it open a bit to leave a bit of light and only then did she look in and look but it was dark and you know what parents are like they don't want to switch light on but she said first that door was more open so why not see straight away Madeline missing she hadn't even checked but was leaving then she says looks and looks any parent checking their children would go into the room and over to the children make sure not ill ok breathing ok
Only then she noticed curtains moving so goes in more sees Madeline is gone
None of it makes sense its not logical what she said should have been torn to shreds by police if this is the same statement that she has been repeating for years

Believing the parents may not have actually killed her is irrelevant to me. If it was all accidental somehow but they could go to all the trouble of lying, getting rid of their own child's body, deceiving the World etc...that's just as bad as killing her in my opinion.

Everything about them is off. Their behaviour in the days following her disappearance was not the behaviour of frantic parents. Look at Denise Bulger when James went missing. Kate had makeup on, she changed her jewellery etc- weird!

I don't know why, but the madelaine questions seem to be reappearing on at least, my recommendations lately. And, just like this one, not just old video's, but new ones too. Hopefully, it's some indication that something new might possibly come to light that will be very revealing, and give us the answers/solve the crime. Poor baby ❤

It is certainly such a heartbreaking and intriguing case, with definite overtones of a cover up by the government and police, suggesting something so big to hide, that it seems to be a cover up that extends beyond poor little maddie herself. That in itself is so murky and strange.
I'm sure working with Jon you can both delve deeper but this is Political and unless you can find out what the Political cover up is then the case stands still...for example Colin Sutton was warned off the case by a high ranking friend..now this friend of his must have know more..here would be the first step up the ladder..I'm sure Jon has many associates that can help him out on this.
