I’m from that area and the only thing I would say is that the day you went to st Michael’s there was an amber weather warning telling people to stay at home unless necessary to go out. That path is usually busier with dog walkers but the weather warning was active.

The bench area should have been automatically cordoned off and sealed as a potential crime scene.Once the police had ruled out foul play the area could then have been reopened. Instead it was a circus, with journalists, dog walkers and tourists trampling up and down destroying any chance of collecting forensic material.

Penny's account of events that day changed because I believe it was all made up to cover up a potential altercation. I think there was one earlier that morning, and then MORE than one person (I'll let you fill the gaps on who they could have been....people with very short tempers 😉😉) confronted Nicola on her way back. Then the witness stories and timings were made up in the missing hour to cover up what really happened.

Don't forget the missing time from 9.30 to 10.30 that day. A lot can be moved/set up and fabricated in that time. 😉

In my opinion, It was an intentionally blocked investigation from day 1. Too many anomalies and apparent failures at every single stage. Not by accident in my opinion. Someone high up in the system (ex gvmt minister perhaps 🤔🤔😉😉) wanted this story buried and swept under the carpet. And that's what they did. The inquest was the biggest joke I've ever witnessed!!! Stitch up, cover up job all the way 😡😡😡😡😡 I get the feeling the police didn't want to find the body so quickly as it may have shown evidence of some kind of wrong doing (after more than 2 weeks under water evidence becomes almost impossible to gather and more importantly prove). Strange how they kept claiming "she's in the river". They knew this straight after you told them. In a later interview a police representative actually stated exactly when they would find the body. Again....because they knew where she was!!!!

I said the following a long time ago, which matches your conclusion: IMO There was an altercation (planned/unplanned ??), hence the scream and elevated heart rate at around 09.22am She was possibly rendered unconscious Broken eye socket etc). In a panic (more than 1 person) the body was then carried (possible cause of specifically placing of bruises, as dead bodies don't normally bruise) and hidden near by (broken into caravan mentioned). Her fit bit still showed a heartbeat for a further 2hrs until around 11.30am. Reason body wasn't found in river on initial first few days searching could have been because it wasn't in the river. Then to "fake" the drowning, an attempt was made to make it look like it was, hence soil and only a very very small amount of water (200ml) was found in her lungs at autopsy. You have to be breathing to inhale water and drown. Body was then placed into the river overnight at some point after this from the very very local location once quiet. Basically explains ALL of the obvious anomalies and inconsistencies 😉😉😉

Also remember that the ONLY cctv camera that would have overlooked that path was the one that convieniently wasn't working at the caravan park 🤔🤔

Penny's grandson was insanely ANGRY bcause they were sniffing around the old gentleman's caravan.WAS THAT G U I L T !!!

I live on towpaths on my boat. The land is owned by the canal and river trust so no cctv anywhere on the towpaths.

Willow would have found her if they would've let the dog lead, Willow would have find her. So very sad.

Break the ice. Heres my thoughts. If a woman is being followed by a creepy man in a remote place the last thing you do is abandon your phone, you would actually keep it on you for backup and you would try to phone the police. It was said the phone was found and someone else placed the phone on the bench. Secondly if she was attacked then the attacker would have kept her phone or turned it off all killers do this. The dogs harness was also found and tied it to the bench Nicola never did this herself. If she was grabbed and carried to a caravan then she would be kicking and screaming and other caravan residents would have heard her or seen her. Penny the caravan owner lives on site with her grandson the enterance to the caravan does have cctv so i doubt an abductor or an attacker would have risked this. Also the dog running between the bench and gate is only on hearsay witnesses always prove to be unreliable anyway her dog was a springer spaniel they are known to run back and forth as they are always sniffing things out. So lets look at the evidence not witness statements. An attacker or abductor would have had to drag or carry nicola into a caravan site with cctv keep her there then carry her body at a later date and place her in the river without being seen. The police were everywhere for weeks on end and the attacker would not want to risk beimg seen, so it would have been silly if this did happen because he would have been seen carrying a heavy dead body out of his caravan he definitely would have been seen. There is no motive as to why someone would do this. She didnt fall in or jump in or end her life next to the bench she fell in or ended her life where she was eventually found. She was found in the reeds and peter said he wasn't allowed to check the reeds as that was down to the scuba diving team so he didnt check it. If nicola was pushed in by an attacker that would make more sence or she took her own life and Penny found the phone and harness and placed them on the bench where they could be found. The dog ran from where nicola fell in or jumped in to the bench because penny led the dog to the bench and she lied about the dog running from the bench to the gate. The police should have really checked inside all of the caravans and interviewed people but they didn't. When it comes to suicides people can seem happy beforehand and appear normal because they know that suicide will end there pain so instead of being sad they are happy and even act normal right up to the last moment. She could have walked into the river to end her life. If she accidentally fell in on her own accord the water would have been so cold her body temperature would cause her to loose consciousness or have a heart attack because of hyperthermia. We will never know the truth as we weren't there. I did initially believe myself she had been murdered for a long time but i dont think that now.

Is it the belief of the majority that foul play was the verdict or is there any narratives that this was a tragic accident and also have any people claimed missing 411? I somehow never knew about this case but had a friend who went missing and was found months later in a shallow steam that had been searched several times and had search dogs cover the area. the area was frequently used by dog walkers and kids and the river was waist deep when eventually he somehow appeared and we're told he still had air in his lungs. Honestly you could see golf balls in the srteam but not a middle aged man. Suspicious

I think people on here are underestimating Rebecca Smith & her 30 years experience. The theory doesn't even make sense. For starters Nicola died of drowning as was confirmed by the pathologist. If Nicola died of an altercation gone wrong then her post mortem results would have shown that. You can't accidentally kill someone & then disguise it as a drowning. As if they'd take her to a caravan park a stone's throw away. Why not just put her in the river immediately rather than carrying her to the caravan park & hiding her just to take her to the river at a later date anyway? A theory has to make some sort of sense & this one doesnt. How would caravan ppl know that the caravan park wouldnt have been searched immediately? & When they supposedly took her back to the river supposedly under the cover of darkness how would they know someone wasnt stood in the shadows watching? Its too daft to laugh at.

I to thought that Willow running between the two was suspicious. I never understood why the police didn’t get a dog handler to check out Willows behaviour and let her through the gate and see where she led them. I believe if anyone would have found Nicola it would have been Willow. Or she would have followed Nicola scent to where she went in or was thrown or pushed in. I believe that whole scene was staged the phone on the bench the dogs harness on the bank. Nicola loved that dog she wouldn’t have just left it to fend for itself no more than she’d left her two girls. Something has been wrong with this from the start. An outside force should have been brought in to deal with it and reinvestigate. I truly believe this woman didn’t kill herself. I don’t believe a woman would arrange a play date for her girls and then do what they’re saying she did knowing her children wouldn’t be going to their play date because of her actions. No sorry not buying it. RIP Nicola 🙏🕯️

Confused?? Peter Falding says he found the body when you interviewed him? But your saying body was at caravan and later put in river? What 80 yards down river for Peter to find or where clairvoyant found her?

If she'd gone through the gate, willow would have followed, a springer spaniel could easily get through/ over the gate. And that bloke is wrong, bodies float while there is air in the lungs, it may not last long, but long enough for the body to move away from the initial area then it will sink, it may possibly get caught up in reeds, mud etc It was an accident, literally no evidence of anything else. Willow is the proof, dogs will hang around the last place they saw their person

I don't believe Diana was bumped off, think she got in a car with a driver under the influence. Sometimes there are such things as accidents. I enjoy listening to Jon Wedger but a lot of what he says is just his opinion or the opinion of others he has spoken to.
