One of my favourite spots that Si. Looks like you got the typical conditions 😂. The tent looks a bit of alright 👌🏻. Very much like the Akto. Hope you’ve dried out a bit 👍🏻
@@SimonOutdoorsthank you for replying Simon, I've got it on Friday and I've found out that it can leak due to seam stretching apparently, in heavy rain, I was wondering if you've experienced that. I know you've had it in some pretty bad weather conditions, if it hasn't leaked, I'm confident it will keep me dry 😉 Regards, Florin
Great video Simon! I’ve been trying to get hold of the Abisko lite 1 for a few months now, looks like a great tent. Hoping they’ll be back in stock before a trip to the lakes in a few weeks.
Cracking video Simon. Stunning location and that tent looks like the business. I've not tried the StoS Salmon but the beef stew and spag bol are decent. As you said, you do get a reasonably sized meal once rehydrated. Cheers mate - Ben
Nice review Simon👍 would a 25 inch Therm-a-Rest sleeping pad fit? Judging by the specs it wouldn't, the inner tent width is 55 cm, what is your thoughts? Regards, Florin
Hi Kevin, similar I think. Strength wise it’s surely sturdier and you don’t have to purchase the extra poles. Scarp 1 looks much wider though, more space. Are you getting one of those?
Hi mate, it’s the large Osprey Atmos 65L. So comfortable, huge though! Probably best for winter use, I’m getting something lighter for the EHW I think. Si
Love that location Simon... infact thats where I was in my last video just a different area behind an outcrop. Great video mate loved it as always 👍🏻 👌🏻 Glad to see you had the standard Peak District conditions 😂😂 ATB... Chris
Yet another superb video Simon. Question: If you didn’t take any beers (ie cans!) or camera equipment, what size rucksack would you require to pack all you needed for an ‘over-nighter?’
Hi Niklas, X Ultra 3 mate. They are awesome! Def happy, they are on their last legs! Fully waterproof, try not to pay more than £70 for the shoes or £100 for the boots. Cheers, Si
Nice vid si, I was up there hiking earlier this year, very nice scenery, you do love them dehydrated meals, ps I thought you was doing an expedition on Everest with that bag and tights 😉👍🏻
Hi mate, it did get a little wet under the sleep pad to be honest. Can’t say if I brought that in with me. Cracking tent either way, it feels very safe
Nice video, thanks. Although at first I though you might be doing a video titled “Man Aims to Break World’s Most Ridiculously Sized Backpack Record’ - find yourself a Sherpa, massive! 😀
