    i love that its easier to transfer files from procreate to dreams than with toonsquid, but still have to draw in procreate coz dreams is lacking in drawing /painting tools, and no create symbol for easier lipsyncing, i will switch when dreams made these improvements for now imma stick with toonsquid/procreate workflow, they shouldve improved procreate animation instead of making another app😂 well, its an apple exclusive app so not surprised😂

    It hurts my brain to know that 1) I can't really draw and 2) to make 5 seconds of animation it will take a day, if not more,

      I don’t think think there’s much you can do about your frustrations about frame by frame animation unless you want to do 2d or 3d rigged animation but if you feel like you can’t draw I think the best solution is to just watch tutorials and learn new skills and draw at least once a week 👍 it’ll take a lot of dedication but it’s worth it in the end

    Hi, great video and wonderful to watch your work. One question - Are you familiar with key framing in ProCreate Dreams? I would like to apply a texture to a character in my animation sequence, either by importing a texture from a website or by creating one myself, and then use key frames to change the colour and lighting of the character as he moves. If you have any advice on this I'd be grateful. Thanks.

    • @StayfDraws

      The solution would be to have a track with your texture and create a masked track on top of it.

    you can also instantly grab a character like magic from any drawing in your camera roll if you hold your pencil on it! How do you adjust the length of a keyframe after you draw them all in the flip book? In the timeline you can extend the length of a keyframe ONLY if there is nothing after it. So I noticed you can move the frame to the right out of the way and then you can increase the preceding keyframe. But almost always you have a ton of existing keyframes after any particular keyframe you want to increase the frame size of.

    • @leonardermel
      @leonardermel 9 місяців тому

      If you hold the right edge of your frame in the timeline with your pen, put a finger somewhere left of that on the timeline and it should let you exptend the length of that frame while pushing other frames to the right. I can't explain it that well but there is a video with quick tips for procreate dreams by Alex Grigg where he mentions it!

    I'm faced with the fact that there are no basic tools for animation, like a lasso, for example, or custom FPS. Just trying to import a PNG sequence. First, it’s imported in random order, not by numbering frames. Second, it is not added like a single frame sequence but with a hold of 4 frames for each. It has to be edited manually and it's very weird and frustrating. But okay! I decided not to give up. And I tried to import these sequences as .mov videos. What could go wrong? But no. It turns out that Procreate Dreams does not support importing videos with transparency. 🤷‍♂ For me this is the disappointment of the year. But I'll wait for updates.

      Initially they had select, when you look at the first video preview of Procreate Dreams. I am now going over the Procreate Dreams Handbook to find out more details. help.procreate.com/dreams/handbook/introduction
      I also tried importing a png sequence with alpha, but I got the same problems. There is still a lot of things to improve. The best way to give feedback is to go to the forum of Procreate and tell them: folio.procreate.com/discussions/4

    • @oscarbtxm663
      @oscarbtxm663 10 місяців тому +2

      @@StayfDraws Hello! Nice video! Thanks for sharing!
      Regarding importing png files with transparency, I have tried exporting the layers of a previous animation from Procreate saving the images as files in a folder. After sorting them by name, when I drag them to the timeline in an empty Procreate Dreams project, they are ordered correctly and there are no errors with transparency. In my case, each image occupies 20 frames. But by selecting all of them and shortening them while touching the screen with one finger, the maneuver is not very complicated. Then I grouped the layers and everything works fine.
      Although I agree that it should be a simpler process.
      We will have to wait for future updates, and without a doubt, for the lasso tool to be implemented, which the entire community will surely appreciate.
      All the best!
