Another vote for more Procreate Dreams tutorials. You do such good work, and it’s been really helpful to follow along with your tutorials on UA-cam and Patreon.
This is better than paid courses, thanks a ton, one of the very few courses avaialable on dreams and very very good and detailed enough for a beginer to follow through
Another great tutorial & please do many more for Procreate Dreams, as I’m a new comer to the software, having used Procreate for a number of years & followed you for a long time. Love your style of teaching & the pace is perfect. 😊
Joel, I’m so happy to have found your channel. You did a fantastic job teaching. Every part was interesting and easy to follow. Thank you so much. You’re brilliant! ❤
Thank you! Despite watching longer tutorials I’ve only learned how to make new key frames and ease in and out from this video! Very helpful :) I’ve already used the twinkling stars in a project of mine
The features that Dreams are lacking and needs as soon as possible are the lasso tool, stabiliser for us with shaky hands, option to duplicate layers, automatic selection and drawing assist..probably forgot some but Dreams is in my opinion not worth it at the moment.
Dream also needs the like hold to make perfect circle or line bec like i always go to procreate to create perfect circle and stuff. And maybe add like an undo and redo button bec using the fingers to tap is like hard for me
Half the things you just said, are there, you just have to do a bit of navigating. Also if you want, you can draw something in procreate and then drag it into Dreams and animate it there. It’s an animation app not a drawing app
What are those 50% things that I mentioned that already are there? I am genuinely curious. An animation app need to at least be a decent drawing app as well for us who do frame-by-frame animation. Toon Squid is one animation app and in my opinion the app that has gotten it the most right so far. I do think Dreams will improve a lot though. I know they already released one update after I wrote my comment. Perhaps some of the features I mentioned was added to it. @@kaihoward7026
Awesome! Your tutorials are really well done and easy to follow. I was able to follow along and was able to do a working animation in Dreams for the first time, so thank you!!
Thank you so much, this tutorial really helped me understand some basiscs. I would love it if you made more Procreate Dreams tutorials. Thanks again, really appreciate it.
I find traditional animation easier to be done in regular Procreate than Dreams because of the lack of lasso tools, liquify and other basic drawing features. But of course Dreams is much better when it comes to this kind of animation. Anyways, a great tutorial, easy to follow!
My eagerness got hold of me and I downloaded it right away and waited all night to finally open the app. I was 100 percent confused and tried to self learn ( as I usually do ) but this will be my first tutorial and I cannot wait to see the outcome :)
Thank you for this. I was getting frustrated trying to learn as a newbie to animation (well I delved into it in the 90s in college but alot has changed.
I enjoy your tutorials. I'm a newbie at digital art. Your instructions are clear and easy to follow. I tried this tutorial and was happy with the result. It was my first animation. Just one question - how do I slow down the movement of the sun and moon? More Procreate Dreams tutorials, please. Thank you for your tutorials.
20:08 This detailing is the result of observing the qualities of sunset, fore and back, working the major shapes first. Then, planning how to build it. Emphasis on planning.
This is a great video but please consider adding some timing information. I found info on actual settings of transition helpful but I am not very interested in anything else from this video and I think it might be really helpful for people like me or even your followers who can just quickly rewatch the part that they had forgotten or anything else. Timestamps are always a great bonus to any educational content 🥺
I'm follwoing along and got to the red sunset bit and all of the sudden my layers are really long and when i zoom them back to being tiny they go grey and i have lost my sun animation bit. i will give up now as im tired so probably give it a rest for now and come back to it. but you are making dreams look so easy to use especial because i have a learning disability.
There is a little button beside the thing that says dream six. It has what looks like the different canvas sizes, you just press that and it takes you! I couldn’t figure it out at first either until I accidentally tapped it lol 😂
@@JoelCreate with the split screen on one side procreate and on the other dreams, you drag and drop your palet from procreate to your work space in dream but not in the palet part of dreams just in the open project
@@JoelCreate so there's no ease in or out on astral bodies their movement speed is linear, I understand why you did it, I'm an animator and considering what you choose to do, easing the sun out of the central position and the moon into the central position is necessary since linear straight movement tend to be ugly and even worse when the object just stop.. but the sun being eased into setting and the moon eased out of the mountains don't make sense and is unecessary to make it look good.. Also the reason this yellow to pink gradient even exist in the sky is because the sun is in the yellow part, here you just made the sun into the pink part.. also, the night doesn't literally falls.. it's just a gradual shift in color and value.. BUt I understand all that is nitpicky and not particularly relevant to this artistic depiction.. which is why I was making a joke instead of writing an actual critique before you asked me to elaborate..
Very good tutorial…but you go too fast. Especially towards the ending. I’d like to know what we are going to do, like, “Now we’re going to do 3 renderings of twinkling stars.” I’m older, maybe that’s it, but I’m practically in tears it’s so fast. This is no way a beginner tutorial, but maybe that’s because the beta has some significant differences. Like we need to do a fill duration sometimes.
It’s impossible for me to fully accommodate the user on the other end. However you can take control and slow it down to any speed you like. Here’s a video how : ua-cam.com/video/4yhz1FePwA4/v-deo.htmlsi=nwR3_SKWhnUBG4p2

Hey 👋 so I believe from your description that you need to swipe with three finger up or down to scale your tracks
How do I get back to the theater from the timeline - e.g. in Procreate get to the gallery
There is a little button beside the thing that says dream six. It has what looks like the different canvas sizes, you just press that and it takes you!
I couldn’t figure it out at first either until I accidentally tapped it lol 😂
ty! I also accidentally discovered it just a minute or so ago. 😊@@DesiredHoney414
Astronomically quite shocking, but nice tutorial!
what does that mean sorry?

I don’t have an Apple Pencil , should I still get this app?
You can animate with out an Apple Pencil. There is a setting to turn on the finger input
