She really doesn't get enough credit for the variety and quality of her roles, she's just as fantastic in Drop Dead Gorgeous as she is in The Power of the Dog, a wonderful actress
Very underrated. I love her film choices
I liked her in Bring It On and yes she was great in The Power Of The Dog
she does pick great projects! There isn't any movie of hers I don't enjoy, no matter the genre
I agree! Crazy/Beautiful also comes to mind.
She was nominated for The Power Of The Dog. Don’t know why she didn’t get the award
her filmography is literally SO iconic.
And I’m pretty sure I read that she still living like check to check, so awful
@@angelcantu8483 highly doubt that
@@angelcantu8483absolutely no way lmao
True, Interview with a vampire and Spider Man 1 are the best!❤🔥
For reals. Interview with a Vampire, Little Women, Jumanji, Bring It On, Spiderman, Marie Antoinette, Melancholia, The Power of the Dog. Kirsten was one of those 90s child actresses like Natalie Portman, and Scarlett Johansson who started really early, but transitioned well into adulthood acting, albeit she deserved more recognition since the 2010s.
The amount of Iconic movies she has been. We didn't even cover Eternal Sunshine, Drop Dead Gorgeous, The Virgin Suicides, Small Soldiers,
I always forget about eternal sunshine . She’s epic!
Small soldiers never gets enough love
and mona lisa smile!
Was hoping for The Virgin Suicides. I first watched that in middle school and it really impacted me, lol.
Drop Dead Gourgeous is underrated gem 🫶🏻
It’s very nice to hear about a child star who was respected and protected by the people she had worked with, refreshing.
Legit, holy crap. She was protected, by whom and how, I will never understand. Good girl point for K.D
She must have forgotten the weirdness of Interview with a Vampire. There is an interview with her being asked about kissing Tom C. The interviewer is trying to play it up as cute and exciting, but Kirsten explains that she found it gross because she was 12 and he was 30 something.
@@larissabrewington9065 She kissed Brad P.
Not to mention 1 that didn't end up getting messed up in the head
"i want to watch a movie with baby mommy" aw that's so cute! adore her and her work so much.
She’s had such a wonderful career from a young age. Jumanji is an instant classic. Melancholia she should’ve been nominated for. That performance was just perfect.
She did win The Best Actress award at Cannes Film Festival for Melancholia. But I definitely agree. She should’ve been nominated for an Oscar too!
@@trnygbl23 very deserved, she was amazing in that film. it may be depressing but id recomend anyone who enjoys film to watch it.
@@robertlaidlaw4592 it was a brilliant portrayal of depression in a way. How she acted, for anyone who’s been depressed knows how hard it is to eat, have a shower have any motivation when you’re depressed. It was a beautiful film.
@@tattooedandy93it should have gotten more aclaim I didn’t know about that film until I took a course in community college on different type of films.
@@tattooedandy93 Not ''in a way'', it was brilliant and accurate portrayal of severe clinical depression in all ways.
I don’t even think she realizes how iconic she is. People use that word lightly nowadays, but she really is an iconic actress.
This is one of the most underrated actresses of our time. She has such an iconic career.
I don't know why I'm seeing this comment...she is a very highly rated actress. Hence the iconic career, accolades, acclaim, fame, etc.
I need to see Kirsten Dunst recognized for having the best filmography in cinema history before I die.
she’s literally so iconic, she’s my childhood
She’s not iconic 😂😂 only known for Spider Man mostly.
@@KryptonitePeter K, well number one, she's known for several roles. And number two, you can still be iconic for one role. Hey, maybe learn the definition of iconic. The term "icon" often refers to someone who is widely recognized and admired, typically for their impact, influence, or representation within a specific context or role. Her role in Spider Man absolutely made her an icon.
She is so chill. Such an iconic career and she's just out there, vibing, living her life.
one role of hers people don't talk about enough is being the English voice of Kiki in Kiki's Delivery Service, she was brilliant in that and I'd love to see her talk about it more at some point, because I feel like most of the actors involved in these dubs never talk about them after it's out
💯!!!
I doubt she remembers but due to The Boy and the Heron made oscar gold, I think she might revisited for old times sakes.
Kiki is one of my very favourite films, and Kirsten did such a good job of voicing English language Kiki! 💕💕💕
Fun fact: in the original Japanese version, she doesn't actually have a name! When they dubbed it in English, they decided to name her after Kirsten's nickname, which is how we ended up with Kiki! 🥰
@@bloodzilla. But the film is based on a book, published in 1985, with the title Kiki’s Delivery Service! So this must be an urban myth. The book was written by Eiko Kadono. It is very sweet, I recommend it!
Melancholia tore me up. She perfectly portrayed what depression can physically be like.
Absolutely. Spot-on.
To this day, I still rewatch Bring It On regularly.
Same same 😂😂
True story
Respect for not having your kids be child actors.
Kirsten Dunst saying she was reading Babysitters Club books is EVERYTHING to me!! I have always loved her and felt a kinship to her.
She says she enjoys it but she still wouldn't do it to her own child, her look at the end says it all. Even if she enjoyed it, it was still work, and she knows what she missed. No child should work.
She’s such an unproblematic icon 😍
Aged like fine wine.
No botox or plastic surgery either like most celebs.
Natural is better.
@@worthless_opinionshe hasn’t overdone it but there’s some Botox :) no problem with that
@@whatasillybillythere lots of non evasive procedures for celebrities
It might not even be that
Stem cell therapy can deliver the same results but more natural looking
Her face has the sane mobility it's always had , it isn't frozen
I think part of the reason she looks natural is her teeth. I've always liked seeing celebrities with flawed teeth, i love them
Her career is really up there with the greats. So many incredible movies that have had such a lasting effect on pop culture and cinema.
I don't think any other actress of her generation can boast so many classic and iconic films that she has been in, truly a living legend.
Natalie Portman
Winona Ryder
Clicked on this so fast!!
There's simply not enough Kirsten Dunst content on UA-cam. Great to hear her talk about so many of her roles in this!
At least, she is a Cannes Best Actress winner, which surely is more valuable than Oscars.
She has such an amazing resumé. She’s very underrated and incredibly amazing.
Kirsten is like a really cool older sister. I grew up with her in all her films as a 90s kid. Watching her is like being home ♥️♥️
Just her childhood movies alone makes her a legend let alone her adult movies.. I mean jumanji, interview with vampire, little women, small soldiers
True, imagine being in a movie with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt as a child. A dream.
But her performance was amazing in Interview with a vampire.
No Mona Lisa Smile!!! I'm crying, but it's wild to see how much Kirsten has done for my childhood
Kirsten Dunst is such an underrated actress. She is fabulous.
KIRSTEN DUNST INTERVIEW CIRCUT!!! I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THIS
Her dimples will always be adorable!
Such a unique and diverse career, I hope she gets a lot more work, loved seeing her nominated
I hope she takes on more roles especially more with Sofia because she’s literally such a great actress and she deserves an Oscar so much.
SHE IS SUCH A LEGEND
One of my all time favorites. I think many Gen X'ers like myself grew up with her in iconic movies like Virgin Suicides and Eternal Sunshine. Her range is impressive. Love her so much.
more like millennials seeing as she basically is one herself
@@NY-rg9br Yeah, I'm a millennial and Eternal Sunshine came out when I was in college. Grew up with Jumanji and Little Women, for sure.
@@NY-rg9br she's become huge with Gen Z too
@@ilovetati91 yea sure but my point was how someone older can say they "grew up" with someone younger than them. Most of her movies apart from jumanji and interview with a vampire came out when Gen X were already adults. All later generations can say they grew up with her
I remember as MJ in the Raimi Trilogy
Adore her!!! She just seems so ‘normal’ and ‘relatable’ xx
I LOVE seeing a celeb with their real teeth still 🦷 🤩
those giant veneers everyone has now are awful. Love seeing her natural beautiful smile and keeping with her real natural teeth! 🥹
She has such an amazing carrier, most her movies are classics that can be rewatched 100x
She was SO good in the Interview with the vampire!
The two actresses I grew up watching as a kid was her and Natalie Portman.
literally my fav celebrity ever. she’s so effortlessly cool and charismatic and such an icon
The Bachelorette is such an underrated hilarious movie
I grew up watching a lot of her films. She's so diverse as an actress and a very down to earth personality. Love the comment about the fellow Taurus. ❤
She has been in so many iconic films
One of my favorite movies that Kristen was in is Get over it. That movie in my opinion is a forgotten gem from the early 2000s teen movie industry. All in All, she's an iconic actress, that has shown incredible range in the characters she has played. I look forward to seeing more from her in the future.
I love Kirsten! When I was a kid/ teen I rewatched Little Women a million times. She was such a perfect young Amy! Kirsten seems like such a lovely down-to-earth person. ❤
This is what I call an underrated actress. She's absolutely fantastic.
She is amazing. I just realized that she has been in many of my all time favorite movies. She is iconic, insanely talented and underrated
one of the most talented, down to earth actresses there is. she needs another star vehicle like “Melancholia” - along with the awards recognition that she deserves, too. definitely recommend “On Becoming a God in Florida”, too for fans of hers that haven’t seen it!
i love how she feels like shes so bad about it, but its literally because she has worked SO much and done so many roles
Love how kids of actors never care about their iconic roles 😭 kids truly humble everyone
Love her in Mona Lisa smile ❤
Her little laugh in 7:55 was so lovable
What she transmits just with her eyes is unique: there's nostalgia, darkness but also so much light in her eyes only, top that with her great acting and it’s just amazing.
Kirsten has always been a favourite of mine. She's so versatile and underappreciated. And side note - every single time someone tells a Robin Williams story it's so lovely and it makes me miss him more. He was truly a gem especially to child co stars.
One of my favorite actresses, I grew up watching her and always enjoyed her performances, she has such a beautiful vibe.
She’s such an icon for real! ❤❤❤
NO DROP DEAD GORGEOUS???? HOW DARE YOU.
I just recently watched Small Soldiers, and seeing Kirsten Dunst now after watching her so young in that film is a big shock but she hasn't really changed. Probably one of the few Hollywood actresses who hasn't gone down the mad route and messed up their face with plastic surgery.
I have such admiration and pride for kirsten over the years! I think she recently siad she's had a harder time finding roles as an older woman and I'm like who wouldn't cast Kirsten as the star in every movie?
I could not have been the only one waiting for the crying scene from crazy/beautiful. She literally dominated the 00's
I'm starting to hope that a Kirsten Dunst Renaissance will begin. Once we finally realize that she's had a pretty damn good career. 35 years in the business, and she's still going strong. With a great variety of different roles under hee belt.
I think for some of us who were born in the mid to late 80s, we kinda feel that we grew up with Kirsten. She's six years older than me, and I've come to realize that I pretty much have seen almost everyone of her films. I remember seeing Interview With The Vampire when it came out. I was 6 years old....I know, that was too young, and all the way to her most recent film Civil War.
I'm just proud and happy to see she's still going. She may be the Jodie Foster of my generation. A child star who didn't grow up and got into trouble or had any scandals about her. She grew up to becomes a respected actress.
She's a great actress, and a bit underrated as well. So far, I'm to have gone on this journey with her.
This is a hard game for an actress with so many movies. Love it.
Her and Natalie Portman are my age, and I have had tremendous crushes on them since we were kids. Interview with the Vampire and The Professional were the starts.
Breaking down the lines and discussing it, she really has had an iconic career that spans genres.
Jumanji, bring it on, spiderman, so many iconic movies. Love love love
She's been around forever. Probably has one of the longest career in Hollywood. I still remember watching her movies like Interview With the vampire, Jumanji and little women during my childhood, then seeing her movie Bring It On and Spiderman as a teenager, then her movie Marie Antoinette as an adult. Finally, watching her movie The Power of the Dog in my 30s
YESSS THE OG SPIDERMAN ALLWAYS
I was waiting for Mona Lisa Smile but yes! This is amazing. ❤
Drop dead gorgeous one of my fave film. So underrated
Jumanji will always be one of my fave childhood movies of all time. She's aged gracefully and been in so many different genres of movies. amazing
A+ video!
LOVE IT! So great to here her thoughts on her performances!
I start to watch her movies as a young adult(we aren't to far apart in age), being able to see her grow up through her career has been awesome. Can't wait for many more! Big fan.
She has always been so cool, very talented and she seems like she's so down to earth. Love her.
People don't love Elizabethtown, but I loved that film. She was great in it.
Same!!! She def carried that movie. OST rocks too.
How do you know what people love or don't love though? Or is it about being ''special'' by liking ''unpopular'' film?
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 It was a critical and commercial flop. You can google the bad reviews, I don't need to do that for you. 28% on RT, 45% critics... This was coming after Cameron Crowe did Jerry Maguire, so expectations were high.
I rewatched Elizabethtown a few years ago and it holds up really well. Now I try to watch it once a year, usually in the fall.
@@joshuasmith1680 Actually watching it now, after seeing the pre-screening of Civil War. Still holds up
I love her in Crazy/beautiful !!!!!!
Kirsten is great, a proper film star. Absolute grace and class.
She is one of the coolest and loveliest actresses of all time!! Love her work and her charming sweetness!!
She’s my favorite. So many iconic movie roles
She was great in the Fargo series!. I mean she is great in everything, but that role, was great! I've been a fan since "Interview with the vampire"!
I loved her in Crazy/Beautiful. That’s one of my favorite movies. I would love to see her quote or react to it.
Talk about a diverse and incredible portfolio. I love Kirsten incredibly talented and I am so excited to see her in her new movie civil war.
A movie starring Kirsten Dunst directed by Sofia Coppola with the music of Phoenix and Air. Instant classic.
I wish people would stop forgetting Mona Lisa Smile. She carried that movie just as much as Julia Roberts. One of my favorites. ❤
She has an amazing career run, she’s an OG actress. It was like I was growing up with her through her films. I wish to see more of her! ❤❤❤
It’s so refreshing to see someone so naturally beautiful
Love her dress! Glad they had that Jumanji quote in there. I say that to myself whenever I cut myself shaving.
Kirsten has had an amazing career. I remember her as far back as 1994, which was when I saw "Interview with the Vampire."
Im here to complain that you didn’t give her any from the absolute timeless classic Drop Dead Gorgeous
Such a natural beauty 💖 literally the IT GIRL of the 2000s ✨
I loved her in Savage Garden music video 😍
I’m so happy she’s back. I love to watch her work.
I always said this but no other stars have filmography like Dunst, perhaps she is on par with Anne Hathaway! I grew up watching her in Jumanji and Bring It On then really loved her in, what I regard as one of the most underrated films, Elizabethtown with Bloom. Her character was so happy and chirpy, I've rewatched it many times since. I was then floored when she did Melancholia, my God, what a ravishing character and memorable too! Can't wait for her upcoming Civil War.
Me over here immediately screaming "MARIE ANTIONETTE" multiple times!
She is amazing, if Kirsten Dunst is in a film I will always watch it ❤
Love her so much, the queen of the idgaf while also being extremely talented ❤
I love her so much. Such a gem human
This was delightful to watch. And i was very proud of myself for getting the Elizabethtown one.
I think I know the entire script of Drop Dead Gorgeous from watching it religiously growing up. SUCH a hilarious parody film. Kirsten was iconic in the role and the entire cast did so good.
she looks so radiant!
Need a part 2, so much iconic filmography
Kirsten Dunst is supremely underrated. I enjoy all her movies and she was also amazing in Civil War.
