The second solo is usually regarded as one of the all-time greats, however for me the first one is an absolute masterpiece of melody, timing, phrasing, intonation. Very few people can pull this off with the emotional intensity of the master. Thank you, Mr. Gilmour, for blessing us with such great music.
She was having the time of her life. Made me quite emotional to think of creating THAT much of a connection with my child. I almost felt as though she was about to rush over to him for a massive hug mid solo.

I flew in from Tx to see GOD of guitar Sir David Gilmour. I was in Row 6. This concert will be something I will flashback on when it’s my time to go. Surreal experience.
My best friend and I celebrated our 60th birthdays by flying in from Louisiana to see this... we will never forget the experience. What an awesome show. We met people from all over the country and Canada that came to see this master show all the young ones how its done.

Discovered PF when my brother bought the Dark Side of the Moon LP in 1973. Was 9 years old then. Love their iconic music and songs till today. This grandpa simply rocks and still pulling big crowds for his concerts. An amazing achievement for a 78 year old master musician.
My 1st and only concert was Pink Floyd in Milwaukee in the late 80s. It was an experience! No costume changes, no auto tune, just pure skill and musicianship
I've never been a person to be star struck by entertainers as an adult. But David Gilmour, I love this man. Every stage of his career as been rich and a gift to us fans. He's the real deal, intelligent, generous, talented, gentlemanly, kind, and a genius guitar player. The world will not be the same without his presence. Saw him at the Hollywood Bowl on Halloween. I've been to over a dozen concerts in the last year. This was easily the best concert ever. I got really emotional because I never thought I would hear some of these songs again in my lifetime. I saw Pink Floyd once back in 1980 at the L.A. Coliseum for The Wall I was 12. I will never forget this. Thank you for this, Mr. Gilmour, hopefully, there will be more music to come. God bless good, sir.
Best song ever. At 70, I was a bit late in hearing Pink Floyd, in the early 70s. I still have the vinyl album I bought after hearing them on AM radio... Of all their music, this is my favorite in every way possible.

Was lucky enough to see him right at the start of the Tour in Rome and then again in London at the Royal Albert Hall a few weeks ago. Best seats in the house too at the Albert Hall - just behind the band overlooking the stage. Great Memories. ❤️

I always shed a tear when I see him play the first solo between the 2 verses. This time it was dangerously close to full out weeping. Thank you David Gilmour for coming out for this tour when I was sure this music would never be heard live again from the original master. @@SomeNiceChips I only have the live album and blu-ray but for sure his voice still had its power then. He’s clearly working with the limitations now and that’s cool. Same as Plant does now with arrangements etc. They’re not “doing a Henley!” I love them for keeping it real and live.

saw gilmour @ hollywood bowl last nite. the man is almost 80 yrs old, voice still rocks, guitar skills still remarkable nearly 3 hour show. only played 5 floyd songs from the waters/gilmour era: breathe, time, great gig in the sky, wish you were here & comfortabley numb. his solo at the end of numb to close out the show was legendary!!!

the man is almost 80 yrs old, voice still rocks, guitar skills still remarkable
nearly 3 hour show. only played 5 floyd songs from the waters/gilmour era: breathe, time, great gig in the sky, wish you were here & comfortabley numb. his solo at the end of numb to close out the show was legendary!!!
