Eventually they tried stopping some pirates and others from taking over a sector and kicking thee empire out. But they ended up helping the emperors hand Mara Jade who then took them under her wing. And they became an elite unit called the "Hand of Judgement".
I've mentioned it to him twice, once in mostly all-caps, and seen others mention it as well. I convinced he reads comments, but get the feeling that he has so many that your chances of getting noticed/noted are about 1-in-50. By all means, keep trying though. Some day he'll learn. Maybe.
I'm reminded of the Battle of Midway. You basically neutralized the IR's largest fleet and their ability to produce more. Shouldn't have to worry about them for awhile

I doubt you'll see this now, but here's a quick tip: Targeting an enemy unit and then giving the 'stop' order will make it so they keep firing at what you targeted but they won't derp around. This is useful for all ships, but it's especially so for super capital ships like the Viscount or SSD's. Also, the remnant suddenly has so many Acclamators and Venators because they actually couldn't build them at all until era 4 or 5.
The dark blue faction is called the penesstar ailment and they use old weapons really aclamators venators v wings you know and there ground troops have the hail fire droids oh boy they are deadly with there missiles and rapid fire laser cannons they use the clone war stuff becuase they are formed from the outer rim of the empire were the republic stuff from the clonewars are used for patrolling that's why they use them

Hey Cap. Set a single fighter squadron in command of a fleet and add the viscount to it. use the X wings and fly into the middle of their lines. Then hyperspace the viscount in the middle and do not command it. that way it'll wreck everything and it won't go derpy and turn all the time.
venators vs new republic fleet, shack I'm sorry but venators kick ass. old republic vs the new, which ships have more combat experience and seen more battles: the answer clone war venators of course.
cr90 captain venators are old and outdated + are outgunned by most ISDs that the empire can produce. If the new republic ships can outgun ISDs, they can definitely outgun Venators.

so thing i discovered about this game. It is often easier and more effective to give a move command and have your units surround theirs than it is to attack a singe unit. one of those more fire power solves more problems sorts of things.
FYI Pentastar Alignment ships launch about twice as many squadrons as other factions. Pentastar Venators launch 6 fighter squadrons and 2 tie bomber squadrons, and they have plenty of reinforcement squadrons. If the AI would do a concentrated attack with fighters and bombers they could be devastating.

Shack, I've never played this game, but I'm pretty sure that all the planets that have 3 space points can build capital ships, and you actually have a bunch of them close to your production worlds
You keep called the New Republic's Destroyer-size vessels "Star Destroyers", because that's the sound clip the mod author used. But in the Legacy cannon, the NR renamed that style of vessel to Star *Defender* in order to help the populace forget the atrocities of the Empire.
The Library Meh, politics. The New Republic Mon Cal cruisers are...well, cruisers, but the newer New Republic Nebula-class ships are still unquestionably Star Destroyers. It's just an updated Imperial II design. The Star Defender name only really stuck with the Viscount and other New Republic Star Dreadnaughts since they were unique designs.
I'm not denying that they were Destroyer-type vessels. They definitely were. I'm just saying that the Endurance-class and Nebula-class were nicknamed "Defenders" to differentiate from the Imperial-era vessels.
If you ever do another game heres a short run down. Empire of the Hand - Good all round faction but no SSD's The Pentastar Alignment - Old clone wars units so you can build a fleet of Venator's & start with two hero SSD's one of which is a unique SSD but cannot build any more. Imperial Remnant for mass Star Destroyers & SSD's era 3 is you're best friend 3 Executor's,2 Sovereigns & Palpatine in an Eclipse.
Shack what you REALLY NEED are those trade fed cruisers that kicked your ass on the clone wars mod. Thats what really shreds those venators and acclaimators
Capt, today in TR I fought a rebel fleet at the Maw consisting of 2 dreadnoughts, 4 corona's and 3 VISCOUNT Class!!!! I lost over 30 ships of various classes during the 47min battle that ensued. My point is can you build more Star Defenders in your campaign? As your about to face the Pentastar alignment it might not be a bad idea!
that dealing when I could beat shak's fleet in my empire run. I've killed 2 viscount's plus whatever was with them. with only a level 2 station and 2 of those platforms.
Man, that one artillery transport pilot/whatever @ 56:15 must have had one hell of a weird and amazing game of TIE fighter... protagonist levels, probably. We'll call him... Steve the quick. (what, Dash Rendar not good enough for you?) fuckin'... I'ma start my next star wars game there.
Ok, I know this playthrough is all done, but just in case anyone reads this or shack you ever play with a super star destroyer again, there's nothing wrong with the pathfinding. the reason you cant get your super star destroyers to go where u want them to is the same reason you cant bring in a capital ship right next to another and its red then changes green when you have room for it. The ssd's need room to maneuver. you'll see when you click on a capital ship it has a circle highlighting the unit. same goes for ssd's and you'll see that theyre much larger. frigates r fine they can sit right on top of an ssd. but not capital ships. This is why your ssd are turning around and leaving your firing line. it's looking for a space it can fit in.
The faction to the north is the pentastar alignment they have several SSD's of a very advanced type that are immensely superior to the viscount so buils more of the viscounts and have them all in one fleet to combat these.
oh I am sad, the space battle for Yaga Minor all those ships, I was just begging for the Viscount to come out right in the middle of it all and you go around and play the fighter game. aww the pretty light show we've missed.
Man, Shack is getting lucky with the Hand's defensive platforms. One shot from one of the cannons on the four corners of the platform can take a capital ship's shields down. Thank God the AI doesn't work!
I would have loved to see you create between a 150-250 fighter group with a few capital ships and gunships for a bit of support. Now that would be an epic battle.
And Shack still hasn't learned to hold off on the mouse button spam. Just assign your units to groups already, it isn't hard. You wonder why your units randomly charge forward or miss enemies, it's because you aren't using them effectively. And don't forget about the different options on your command panel, like "attack-move", which tells your units to attack any enemies along the way. Please Shack, it will help you out a lot
Ugh, that battle over Borosk was so painful to watch. You took SO many unnecessary losses. the Viscount should've been used to absorb most of the enemy fire. Oh well.

X wings don't come in until like the death star plans I believe. X wings were prototypes that rebels stole and started making. At least that's how it use to be before Disney.

Find the planet that makes the venators and capture it and get some venators of your own.

the best tactic is to have a ridiculous ammount of air units so even if they have AA they wont be fast enough to take all your units out

and yet again you did it shack. YOU BUILT ENDURANCE-CLASS INSTEAD OF NEBULA STARDESTROYERS. Nebulas have a K-wing squadron and a Defender squadron. K-wings can be both interceptors and bombers. plus the Nebulas look better.
