I love the way this was shot and edited. Not just a tutorial, a sight into the team and location. I am not a clothing designer but it gave me some great ideas for my products!
🙏🏽 having a team goes a long way. Thank you for being a part of this community. We have some big things in the works. Turn on those notifications to not miss out!
Nice, but when will there be a challenge that allows people getting started an opportunity to showcase their ideas and you pick the winning design and help promote the startup
Can you please 🙏 do a vedio on covering these topics which really helps starters like us. 1) to display our products. Should we go with Our own e-commerce website or shoplift third party. I heard there is a huge cut and not as flex as your own site. 2) how to organise displaying of my collections in the website any suggestions? as a beginner, we only have less designs and less quantity to display. How to make think customers doesn’t feel like we don’t have enough models in the website. How to overcome this problem? Please advise.
@@johnxsantos Thank you for your reply. I enjoy your videos and share them with my middle school fashion design students. I make children's clothing and being an artist, I know I seriously need to start a t-shirt business too. I'm supposed to be retired. Lol
It's doable with a team but I've been all solo and it slows me down and holds me back. It's difficult getting people, the right people to assist with seeing your vision and the project
When you are doing it solo, it would be a good idea to partner with some people in the industry that are good in what they do, mainly people doing things that complement your own skills. You saw in the video that the guy doing the printing was not in the team and even worked extra ours to satisfy their schedule, that's the kind of partners you need. Also, don't try to exploit partners, help them succeed and they will do the same. It's about returning favours. Good luck.
Print on demand is the way to go if your solo. Spend time on marketing and have a business handle the manufacturing side of things! But a team is needed to truly scale the business up!
@@agaziyasefa4745 I do have something in mind but that's also something to consider right now one of the several things on my list is a graphic designer or someone who knows how to draw my visions
@@Kevin-jc1fx Well, let's be a bit more realistic. Usually, if you're solo and looking for partners to be apart of your team, they would want to get paid(for the most part). Therefore, you have to do payroll, etc. Most people will not be apart of your team if there's little to no pay, or if it doesn't MASSIVELY benefit their needs. If you have friends that is willing to work with you and help scale your business, that's your best bet(since they would help for free). People you don't know will not go out their way to help YOU succeed, unless it's an agency or a business(which is expensive) but that'll be cutting into your budget that's already low. Not trying to discourage anyone to building their team. It's just not as easy as everyone is making it seem.
Do we need a fashion designing degree ? To start your own brand ? Please tell me it was my dream i always wanted to make my own brand but cuz of my parents i stopped but i can do it now .

@@johnxsantos thank you soo much it was my dream we were poor so my parents won't by me much clothes when i was a kid i started dreaming what i made my own brand I'm from india by the way I'll start my own brand just gotta graduate cuz i parents want that . And I've invited money so i have enough money to make my own my brand and my parents are a little financially stable now too .
Hey John, I'm really finding it difficult to find a good manufacturer in india, like the thing is that their quality control is not good and their R&D along with their designers are not up to the desired standards 🥲 For a startup it's difficult to increase my budget and reach out to manufacturers outside of India and yea the logistics will kill me if not then it's the regulations 😂
Haha nice try, but you didn't start a clothing line, you made and sold 1 shirt. Marketing is where most brands fail... which is why Marketing and Management are college courses.
The amount of motivation ya just gave me in only to videos !!! Thank you guys for this content very helpful 🙌🏽‼️
You got this!

Loving these videos!
Y’all did an awesome job 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Incredible work from the team 🙌🏽
This is wonderful motivation, but also not realistic when you have an entire experienced design and marketing team vs one person Who has to do it all.
We made this video in hopes of showing everyone that it can be done sooner than you think. But in 24hrs it is hard to do without a team.

Awesome ✌️
How much you'd pay for a blank Tee to sell for a profit tho.
To do a couple test samles you can get 3 for under $10 at Joann Fabrics.

You definitely don't need a degree. Just go for it and don't let parents or anyone hold you back.
