You know you always courage me to continue my dream in all this problem in my life, in January 2020 first time I show your videos and I learn more thinking about my line clothes from your video and your academy. Really thank you so much.
I will work to have a factory like this, because you really excited me to continue my path even though I see it as a bit difficult.
You offer many, many others around the world. The least thing I can give you is the big thanks from my heart.
I made a promise to myself that when I open my company more closely, you will be the first to invite me to celebrate with me. Thank you your fans from algeria

Print on Demand companies like Apliiq should really start pushing the environmental message of their business model more. With POD, you only produce what you need, which reduces wastage. And because they fulfil the orders themselves, it also lowers the carbon footprint. A really eco-friendly business model. Nice job guys!

This may be an dumb question but I’m new to this.
What is the likelihood of success with 15k-30k to invest in a clothing/fashion business?
If a small business owner invests 1k-5k USD into a fashion apparel company with great unique designs, is he likely to succeed over an investor with 15k - 30k to spare making mediocre apparel?
Of course, there are many layers to this question (advertising, investment strategy, etc), but how big of a factor does money play in the fashion industry?

an issue with the POD for your brand is that you have 0% influence on the print quality... and that's a BIG risk

Writing a business plan is what has stopped me over and over to start or try to start something.
I have no idea how to write a business plan, the worst part (at least for me) being where you have to somehow "predict" the future.
I can't do that ... I can't lie and say "this or that" is going to happen when nothing in this life is safe or guaranteed.
So here I am, almost 60 years old and I never started anything on my own.
Now I am unemployed and I need to start something ... and once again ... that inability to write a business plan is on my way.
    🤬

My knowledge is probably out of date, but I don't think you need to see the future to write a business plan.
On a basic level, it is just 'the plan' with actual numbers that means the business is viable. Start with what you have the resources to do/make/advertise *right now* in terms of time/money/contacts/followers and write it down. Start there, add the limitations, eg the cost of things, plus your style/ethos (ie business model) to work out what numbers you need to be viable and you have your first year/qtr set up! Then think about a best case scenario and worst case scenario of where your current resources could take you and where on that scale you need to be to stay viable and add them. If you need to sell 2k to break even when you can only procure 200 it's a no go. If you need more resources find out how you would get them.
Sometimes making the plan shows you it isn't viable, my last plan showed me the ethos I wanted to use meant that to cover my costs I needed to be able to sell more units than I had capacity for, so I didn't do it. Hope this helps?

negative. They do make sure you have the rights to trademarked items though. they work with some legit brands.

John you always put out great content, but the dudes from Feat socks aren't people I'd want to take advice from no matter what their numbers are. Did you ever watch their "Profit" episode? It's basically a blueprint on what NOT to do. They were extremely disrespectful and privileged. I know their values don't align with your values and you would never treat people the way they treated Marcus and his staff. Just my 2 cents

    • @johnxsantos
      @johnxsantos  3 роки тому +1

What I’ve come to realize is that media/ shows can paint you out to be what they decide. I watched the episode and then also learned about the business model Marcus was building on the side. They didn’t want to work to build him another side business, so their attitudes were shown in a negative light. Definitely not a good look on them tho, but Parker is a genuine dude.
