I am currently building a 1980 cb650z and your videos have been a massive help to me in deciding what I want to achieve. Keep up the good work and thankyou 👍🏻👍🏻
I absolutely love your production and “common man” approach to building. I continually reference your vids for my project. Keep up the great work so I can expand my reference section.
That’s amazing mate, I try and explain things to make them easy to follow. It’s harder than you think sometimes but I do get a lot of compliments from this approach so It helps I think ☺️
A few of my mates and I have the same philosophy Dan. We Express it as n=n+1. The number of things you need is the number you think you need, plus one. Most of us have translated that into motorbikes too lol. That is, the number of bikes you need is the number you have plus one...funnily enough, most of our better halves seem to disagree 😜
I have got to say, you are truly gifted building awesome bikes. Your choice in builders is questionable......no seriously shit happens. You are truly gifted and you've a good eye for the small details........ Well done!
Nice work Dan, you have definitely tooled up since I first started watching your channel when you built your bike lift :) Always great explanations and tips. Finally just purchased my first bike CBX750F 1984, to custom build, (I'm in NSW). In the research and design phase at the moment. your bike is looking very nice and all the work you have put is paying off. Love the exhaust split and welds as well. Keep it up mate
Thank you so much mate, I put everything into this channel including buying tools to grow it and try and bring the best content I can for what I’m working on at the time. It is extremely time-consuming but I absolutely love it. i’m very passionate about sharing my journey to help you with yours. I’m excited that you’re starting a build and you picked an awesome bike to start with. Don’t forget to check out my website, I only sell quality products that I standby and use myself.
Very nice Dan, I’ve stepped back to build a whole new shop to continue my series. I just can’t wait to get back on the build and put out more CX500 content! I really enjoy your series, GREAT STUFF keep it up!
@@CafeRacerGarage hope not. Love watching while I can’t work on my own (also watch when I’m working on it) great inspiration for getting me to grind away at the projects a little more every week
Well done mate. Good to see CB 750 nighhawks being "cafeid" I left my bad seed cb 750 in Spain and I miss it every day for 9 years now. Thinking of bringing it over to Sydney. Your in Sydney ?
Great video, Dan. You really spend some quality time on your production and it shows. Pretty cool that you’re expanding the garage out a bit. (I liked your saying about 2 is one and 1 is none.) The right tools and some spare parts are absolutely necessary for any project. I’ve been working with wood a bit this year and have added lots of little wood-working tools and gadgets. That bike is awesome looking from every angle, Mate! Stay well, and be careful in the gym! 🏍👍🏍
Thanks mate I appreciate your comments every time I post a video 👍😊 I’m familiar with woodworking as I grew up around that from a very early age, i’ve had some ideas of putting woodwork into some of my builds. I’m unsure if it will look any good but it is very therapeutic working with wood. What is the wooden project you’re working on?
@@CafeRacerGarage that’s great! Somehow that doesn’t surprise me... you have a very creative mind. My little projects are not much. I’m redoing a bathroom with custom wood stuff and a few closets of shelving. My wife has the creative mind in our family. I just do my best to execute with the tools on my workbench. 😀
They can be very strict on stuff like this. Good luck if they can spot it once it’s powder coated tho 😂 I think it will look very original when finished ✔️
Very nice build and I really like the shed idea. Too bad about the watermain mess. It does sound as though you are going to eliminate the centre-stand on the Honda. I understand the motivation, but I have always found a bike without a centre-stand to be a massive PITA. Every chain adjustment or cleaning, every wheel off-on exercise is much more difficult and the weight saving just (IMO) isn't worth the pain level. Anyhow, to each his own.
I totally understand what you are saying and you are right in so many ways, however, this bike will be living in my lounge room and only takin out on the weekends or when I feel like riding. Maintenance for me is easy at home. It would be better to keep it and I’m not worried about weight, it’s only for looks to keep it clean
cant have 2 cars, 2 bikes? what? you are only telling me this now! Gotta get a parts bike - oh the parts bike is better than your project bike? Congrats, you now have 2 project bikes

What band saw are you using to cut the stainless?
Milwaukee Porter band deep cut

Nice one!
Thank you mate 🙂
Love your videos man! Btw, that's the worst performing tap handle known to man kind... I got one too. lol
They are shocking but I just put up with it because I have no other
😳, there's always room for 2 bikes, if 1 breakdown, you can use the other one.
That's a good saying though 👍
Haha You will get those Mikuni Carbs I am 100% sure 😬 the choke is built into the side not that you will ever need to use it in QLD
It sometimes gets cold here. Who am I kidding, I live in shorts even through winter lol 😂
is it legal?😁
Its stronger than it was so yes 👍
@@CafeRacerGarage just kiding..i am your big fan
What do you mean I can't have 2 bikes just incase? 🤣
Ok bikes are an exception to the rule lol 😂
LOL....I always buy 2 if I need 1 or 4 if I need 2
Smart man 😁
