mustafa baksh Well he was trying to make immortality stuff. I don't know if Dead apostles were his end goal but yes that reference was totally intentional.
He was trying to make dead apostles without the blood sucking part. He thought he could use time magic and dead apostles to somehow find a way to life forever.
Okay, so I'm halfway through the video and the whole thing about Kohaku is just... damn. Like, I only know this series due to the Melty Blood games, so I thought Kohaku was just a crazy anime maid that was secretly a scientist that dressed kinda like a witch, but my perspective on her changed so much right now...
Before learning the lore: Wow, those two maids are so wacky and weird! Funny joke characters, lemme tell ya After learning the lore: God is dead and this was the weapon
Wow...until now I only had that below-average anime adaptation to go on, but this sounds like it could have been as good as Fate/Zero if they had stayed faithful to the source material. Now we need to get Ufotable to take a crack at this series!
Yeah not hard to see why, but that's all the more reason why it NEEDS a remake. Plus, I feel like it makes a difference whether you were introduced to the anime or the visual novel first.
I think the anime could've been as good as the UBW adaptation great, but not perfect Fate/Zero had the benefit of being a light novel while Fate/Stay night (Even though it is better than Zero IMO) has the problem of being a visual novel and Tsukihime would have the same thing because internal monologues.
Spoilers he said but I was not expectiing mountains of pschyological damage to the characters, I know this is the naruverse but damn i really feel for these characters.
Type-0 Universe It's weird how silly they are in Melty Blood and Carnival Phantasm given their tragedies. It's like making you watch holocaust footage then rewarding you with ice cream.
I like Shiki, all five of the heroines, and Satsuki quite a bit. But if I had to choose, I would go with Ciel, Satsuki and Hisui. My parents taught me the value of compassion, and all three could certainly use some.
To be fair though. Considering how "life force" is a form of mana, semen is literally a condensed pack of mana. The fact that the line "Magus selling their bodily fluids" remained unchanged in Realta Nua might be proof of it being a legit thing.
I've been wanting to learn more about the series without clicking through wiki pages or reading the entire visual novels (don't have the time), so I thank you for taking the time to make this video I love your content.
Going to state it here as well, if anyone wants to read tsukihime for themselves but may not be into reading a novel, check out the manga which is easily found. It gives a lot of context to the events of the story and while following the main heroines route, expands it with the neccesary content from other routes to make it a much more complete experience. Nasu totally recommends it
Fate: Had a remastered version done with ufotable doing the opening animations, and then doing the subsequent anime adapdations Tsukihime: Remake announced with ufotable doing the opening animation. I will froth from the mouth if they also give it an anime adaptation but im just happy we're getting a remake
Well ufotable still has at least fate/hollow ataraxia to adapt (and maybe a fate route remake) So that has to be done before tsukihime (hope they don't do the same mistake with fate and go to the second route since the first was adapted by a trash studio before)
No, Fate was popular even before getting the market flooded with Fate content. Fate/Stay Night is Type-Moon's best selling Visual Novel. THAT is what led them to keep expanding the franchise, which led to more sales, so obviously it snowballed from there. Though yes, at this point they focus on it because of Fate/Grand Order being a massive cash cow.
Ngl, I was gonna watch Carnival Phantasm and your series about magecraft but knew that I had to watch both Tsukihime and Kara no Kyoukai to get the most of them, I finished both the anime adaptations to have a better idea of the characters 1st and came here to understand the main plots, which I appreciate you for, tbh, Nasuverse never fails to amaze me each time.
It's great that you do this lore videos for lesser known visual novels. Very interesting. If you accept suggestion fot future topics, a video on Dies Irae would be fantastic. It's a cult hit visual novel that just came out on Steam over ten years after the original japanese release. Similarly to Tsuki Hime it is the center of a univers of multiple VN, called the Masadaverse, and it's just as high-concept and awesome as the Nasuverse. I'm sure you'll love it.
I’ve watch the few times just because I love the simple explanation of Tsukihime, on top of how much Tsukihime and witch of the holy night evolved ever since the release of the video. Just comes to show how much type moon has grown in popularity to the point we got the Tsukihime remake in official English and Witch of the holy night and Fate VN
So after watching this, I have come to the conclusion that Shiki was not infact kicked in the face by the red haired woman who then gave him Groucho Marx glasses and proceeded to "nurture" him. But seriously, after watching this, I dare say the Tsukihime lore looks way easier to get into and follow. Thanks, friend. Glad I found your channel.

Nice video man, thank you for doing this. Tsukihime is CRIMINALLY underrated, underappreciated by just about everyone, not to mention underutilized by Type-Moon themselves. It truly sickens me as a fairly large fan of the Nasuverse, that's why after I finished Fate/zero I refuse to watch/slash support TM until they get there shit together. Nice~~ Satsuki deserved a little more time as the scrapped heroine though xD guess she'll get some more air time on the Melty Blood video. (Tsukihime remake when?)
Oh my god dude...I just watched Tsukihime on TV when I was a teenager here in Brazil, it was ok, had a great intro music and that's it. What is AAAAALLL of this shit?!?
@@otakudaikun yeah I noticed that, with all the "Tsukihime anime doesn't exist" meme thing, but I remember enjoying it well enough when I was like 14, I have no idea what I would think of it now. I get it I really don't like the Higurashi animes either, I think the visual novels (with updated art) were soo much better
Since you are going into melty blood I was wondering if you are going to be explaining the novels take on the nanaya personality and the true reason why Satsuki was able to keep her personality and her true strength? Also, you didn't mention that Roa developed mystic eyes in the novel when he fully takes over SHIKI.
OtakuDaiKun just speaking of the fact that when he originally killed arc it wasn't because of Roa in the novel, it was his nanaya bloodline awakening and it's stated in his talk with row in the route where he gets drugged so much that his nanaya blood was allowed to take over and talk to roa. Not saying you are wrong about anything btw since you went over the manga plot but since you are going into the sequel and melty blood it's good to mention it since it makes the plot lines tie together better when they reveal that his fighting capabilities come from the nanaya personality in him that seeps out when he give into his more killer instincts and why he improved so fast to the point of being able to beat chaos although he shouldn't have been able to.
Oh my god! I always wondered who those Aozaki church women in Fate/Extra were, they never explained anything about their lives. Now I know how important they are, thank you
You won't forget about Tsukihime+plus won't you? There are two stories (one of them we have seen remaded in KNK) and also we get some spotlight to Satsuki route (and she is hot there. Seriously, Satsuki vampire with long hair is super fucking hot)
Is there a specific entry that explains the type-moon universe more in depth like in the beginning? The stuff regarding the ultimate ones, Zelretch etc. Or is it pieced together from different series (if that's the case, which of them have the most lore)?
I guess going in order is the best? 1) Kara no kyoukai movies 2) Tsukihime vn or vn remake (or ufotable anime adaptation if that ever happens) 3) fate vn (and anime if they ever remake the fate route, if they did watch it chronologically it goes fate/zero,fate route, ubw route,hf route and at last fate/hollow ataraxia) 4) mahoutsukai no yoru if it ever gets a translation or an anime in the next 20 years After that if you paid attention (as in just hear what's being said) you should know everything about the type moon universe
A lot of the story twists are hidden and gradually revealed during the game. You play through the entire Arcueid Route without learning anything about Kohaku and Hisui. (The flashbacks are grayscale so you can't see the color of their eyes.) The "Far Side of the Moon" has more magic battles, but the "Near Side of the Moon" routes - Akiha, Hisui, and Kohaku - have a really unique josei domestic feel. The story becomes a feverish nightmare as Shiki goes insane and uncovers the mysteries of the past and present. And it has the chair scene. Shiki gets upset when he bumps into a chair, and he starts repeating "This chair. This chair." filling the entire screen with text that advances sentence by sentence. Hisui breaks him out of his reverie and seems worried, even though he assures her everything is fine, he was just moving a chair out of the way. He's mildly surprised it's a pile of splinters. That was a nice little moment I remember a decade later. It's art, right? With banging. But it's all artistic and stuff. I wonder if the sex scenes will get the dragons-and-dolphins treatment in the remake.

Nice~~ Satsuki deserved a little more time as the scrapped heroine though xD guess she'll get some more air time on the Melty Blood video. (Tsukihime remake when?)
PaulNBlack Satsuki still gets killed even before Melty Blood apparently. You don't see her in the first game.
OtakuDaiKun I believe it was in Actress Again where she gets her story expanded
Thanks for making this 😁🌟
The remake Is comeing!!!!
Oh my god dude...I just watched Tsukihime on TV when I was a teenager here in Brazil, it was ok, had a great intro music and that's it. What is AAAAALLL of this shit?!?
@@felipeaguena5289 Most fans agree that the anime is terrible.
@@felipeaguena5289 Yup, it's the same with Higurashi, except worse since at least its anime had some merit.
Coming here after Manpig's Shiki Tohno video and now I know enough to fully appreciate Carnival Phantasm
Manpig loves his Tsukihime. Carnival phantasm is the best.
@@otakudaikun Yeah! Even if I did end up spoiling myself on the story I’m still hoping to play Tsukihime... if it comes outside Japan
you are doing god's work. you got yourself a subscriber
I’m here after the announcement of Tsukihime Remake
Your channel is so god bro. I love the nasuverse.
Nice Laughing Man placement. SAC is awesome.
It's the logical way to censor things.
I'm here again cuz of tsukihime remake, as always thanks daikun
I've been waiting for this.
Makihisa Tohno: Employer of the year!
If you mean the back alley alliance then yes. I don't know what you're referring to about Nanaya. As for Roa, that did slip my mind.
Now I know how important they are, thank you
Don't forget the battle against Arcueid as a berserker, or Shiki Ryougi being trapped in the SE.RA.PH., those were nice cameos.
g1lgam3sh123 They were basically cameos but some, like Sakura, get become integrated characters. You never know.
Really good video, man. I hope you make more videos about Tsukihime in the future.
Wow this and Kara No Kyoukai got me in the feels
Guess I finally found out how to watch/read the Fate series, start at Tsukihime
This was so great... Then i got confused halfway due to writing fanfics on the sidelines.... dang it!
The Dark Imperial I don't think I could multitask this one's intricate plot either.
Is doing that even possible? Lol
Alright!!! 😊 I've been waiting for this!!
DBZ: LEND ME YOUR ENERGY!
Nasuverse: *Unzips*
You won't forget about Tsukihime+plus won't you? There are two stories (one of them we have seen remaded in KNK) and also we get some spotlight to Satsuki route (and she is hot there. Seriously, Satsuki vampire with long hair is super fucking hot)
THANK YOU! I am glad I able to find your channel. I really wanted to know what happen after the manga.
Is there a specific entry that explains the type-moon universe more in depth like in the beginning? The stuff regarding the ultimate ones, Zelretch etc. Or is it pieced together from different series (if that's the case, which of them have the most lore)?
They each concern themselves with different things. No one work explains it all, not even close.
I guess going in order is the best?
1) Kara no kyoukai movies
2) Tsukihime vn or vn remake (or ufotable anime adaptation if that ever happens)
3) fate vn (and anime if they ever remake the fate route, if they did watch it chronologically it goes fate/zero,fate route, ubw route,hf route and at last fate/hollow ataraxia)
4) mahoutsukai no yoru if it ever gets a translation or an anime in the next 20 years
After that if you paid attention (as in just hear what's being said) you should know everything about the type moon universe
I found out ablut this from fate extra. I am not disappointed
