Thanks, I will be immediately forwarding this information to my wife as indisputable proof that I am indeed hilarious, as I have been telling her for years. Great when people get me, thanks, not everyone does.
Yes, Im not sure if they can actually do it because the base needs to flex a bit. It might be possible and I would love them to bring it out but I'm not sure how easy it would be to build.
I've purchased one of these. My only gripe is that the lifting handles are either side of the top of the bag as opposed to the front of the bag. This doesn't make any sense as there is a hand hold under the bottom pocket (in the centre) for lifting. Therefore, when lifting the bag off your trolley and lobbing it in the car boot, you have to grip the top of the bag from the side and the bottom of the bag from the middle. Very unwieldy. Other than that, it's great (I've also got the OGIO stand bag which does have the carry handle in the middle FWIW). I haven't tried the insulated pocket for size re: rotisserie chicken, though I'm pretty certain it would fit.
Yes I know what you mean about the handles, doesn't make a lot of sense having them at the side for lifting into the boot, the only thing I can think of behind their reasoning would be lifting it on and off the back of a golf cart (buggy). But I think it would be more universally useful if it was on the front. Had to look up the abbreviation 'FWIW' so have learned something new today. Thanks. It is a great roast chicken bag though.
Got this bag off the back of your reviews and absolutely love it. Looking at regripping my clubs soon, you don't by chance know if or could test if the jumbomax grips fit ? Being considerably thicker I wonder if they'll cause issues with fitting in the slots
@@golffm6924 thought I'd pop an update here incase anyone else wondered. I fitted my clubs with some jumbomax XL tour str8 tech grips. And they fit in the silencer bag. Does squash the end of the grip a little. Unsure if the normal tapered grips will work
My wife has this exact same bag. I love it. I like how it holds the clubs in place So I myself have ordered one I like my PING PIONEER But love the OGIO
Going to grab an OGIO bag this week. Can’t wait to do a chicken test. Planning on trying an undernourished battery hen from Woolworths, then a 3kg free range stonker from local butcher. I’ll publish results in due course.
Hahaha, brilliant. Yes let me know how it goes, just don't get chicken juice in the bag and then end up with salmonella poisoning, I don't want to be liable for that.
Any input on if the silencer style bag has a negative effect on the club grips over time? if it's grabbing the club, suspect there would be any wear and tear on the end of your grips? Anyone's input is appreciated. Thanks!
Any new feedback on the possible grip wear - I’m concerned about the grips as it’s pulled there the top (where the silencer plastic grip is holding the shaft ) When ur taking the club out or putting it in - will it wear the grips out ?
One note of caution ! These bags are slightly shorter than most bags and won’t for certain sit on your trolley . I found to my cost that it will not sit on my Stewart X10 trolley , I bought in the USA and have had an absolute nightmare trying to return for refund . Callaway /Ogio in the U.K. have given me the silent treatment and very unhelpful . Good review by the way .
That's a bit of a nightmare, I've just checked all the trolleys I stock which is a mixture of Powakaddy and Motocaddy, electric and push, and they at least fit all of those no problem.
I Paid £195 for an OGIO bag in 2017 on the strength of their quality climbing gear, it didn't disappoint. Zips still fine after 7 years (take note Titleist and Powakaddy ) still waterproof even in the East coast Monsoon rains, head over is easy to put on and off quickly. In response to the other comment about not fitting a Stewart trolly , well if you have the money that buys a small car to drop on one , you have the money to fritter away on a Stuart 🛍️ bag . I would recommend OGIO before any other "waterproof" bag.
@golffm6924 thanks,I have been caught by false claims before,I bought a Big Max dri lite silencio bag that only had 2 dry pockets but wasn't fully waterproof, the fully waterproof version was over 300 pounds,I will seriously look at this bag now 👍
Thanks for the review. I own this bag, so I wanted to share a few user insights. There’s a grab tab under the bottom pocket that you can use to easily pull the bag in and out of the car when holding it horizontally. The cover fits well when you position the zipper toward the back. Jumbo grips do fit in the bag-I have them on two hybrids and use the middle 'woods' slots for those clubs. However, the grips don’t lock into place at the bottom. I also have Garmin sensors on my clubs, and they sometimes get caught in the bottom grab mechanism. You can fish them out through the inner zipper, but I find it easier not to push the clubs all the way in, which also makes them easier to remove. The rubber side supports help keep the clubs quiet, though. Overall, I’m really happy with the bag. However, I wish it had a few more loops for items like a towel, rangefinder, brush, or water bottle. Having only one loop isn’t very convenient.
Haha, glad you appreciated the humour, if you like that one you should watch some of the other bag reviews, especially Ping Cart ones. Purely for the entertainment, not because you want a Ping bag.
I think the driver has to be there for trolleys and things, so that they don't interfere with the handle. I think it works for the most part but you could put things wherever you want to be honest, apart from the putter.
Yeah not sure about these examples. Everyone I have seen on Amazon has the 4 colored holes at the back strap side of the bag and the Putter hole on the front pocket side that would face out from carts or trolley carts.
The bag I looked at on their website has the driver slots at the back with the putter slot closest to the front of the bags where all the pockets are. I ordered one and should have it in a week. Can't wait!
I was thinking about one of these bags and your review has convinced me. First time I’ve seen one of your reviews but will be subscribing. Loved the humour - made it very listenable.
I love this guy's review style.
Thanks, much appreciated, I love doing bag reviews, a sentence I didn't think I'd ever write.
After watching this review, I subscribed. Love this guy’s humour 👍 Keep up the good work 🙌
Thanks a lot for subscribing. Who'd have thought bags would be funny.
You are hilarious, love your review style. You give off the opposite of shill vibes, pure honesty and disdain for packaged air.

I’d love to see this silencer tech on a stand bag variation as I prefer this to the stand bag with the slots

@@golffm6924 Yeah.. probably asking for a lot 😅
There actually is a grip on the bottom. Under the shoulder strap pocket!!
Oh right, I'll have to check for that the next time I've got one in, wasn't obvious to me.

I don't have one in the shop at the moment I'm afraid, I'll ask the Rep and see if he knows
@@golffm6924 that would be amazing thankyou

Any idea if you have the jumbo grips on your clubs if they will fit
I dont actually know, I'll try to find out
reviews online say they do!

Think I saw a comment on another review that the Arcos plugs get damaged and pretty much can’t be used on a Silencer bag, but don’t know about grips.

Do these bags fit the jumbo max XL grips?
I will try to find out.
Yes
Did Rab Knight order the neon yellow version 😂😂
Might be too subtle for him!

Good to hear a positive long term report. They do seem very good.
If it's a fully waterproof bag it's not that expensive.
Yes it is fully waterproof and you're right it isn't that expensive really

Don't understand why they designed the bag to have the driver in the front where you have access to you balls. Backwards to me.
