Omg how is this video not more popular?! You literally broke down some really complicated reframing methods in seven minutes. How? Thanks man. This video is complete gold. You have no idea.
Thank you so much for this video! I just got the One X2 and I am a bit overwhelmed. I don't even know how to trim a clip yet but, I can reframe now...lol. But seriously, great tutorial. Liked and subscribed!
Again another awesome tutorial. I have one question which no one ever talks about. Do you reframe from the camera footage or first export the entire clip to the phone? If you do export to the phone then reframe, then export, you'd think that you should have a new clip with the original still in tact. That doesn't seem to be the case. It seems that you have to revert and remove all edits in order to create other edits. You can edit and export all you want but it seems that you're always modifying the original clip. Am I doing something wrong? Also, the new mobile app no longer allows you to Trim like before. Instead you have to slide the end markers. This is very difficult to do on a mobile app when when you have a long clip. They should have left the trim feature alone which apparently gave us a trim icon. The trim icon is now only available when you jump cut. But still, the same problem, no new exported clip is created. Super frustrating.
I am editing the original camera footage directly. I can reset the edit anytime to the original video. When edits are applied to the video, they are non destructive edits. The original video will never be overwritten.
Oh, I feel your pain. Going through the same trials, and yes, Trim seems a bit of a disaster to get right. Worse, as you say, how do you work on an edit and not impact the raw original footage? And oh so frustrating message that ‘Editing will be smoother if you download it to the phone first’. Great … how about explaining how you actually do that!
Has auto-framing been buried elsewhere since this (amazing) tutorial was shot? I cannot find it but have implemented many other aspects of your tutorial. Many thanks-
Great video, very helpful, but what I’m wondering is how do I now take my nicely edited and send it to my friends to view? On what app, or site can ppl view my stuff in 360? Right now all I can do is send it to my photo album in an elongated photo. Thanks
Hi - I’m a new subscriber and camera owner- and I’m not sure if you have a tutorial that covers this but - is there a way to export the full 360 video so someone can view the original video? I’m sure the original video would have to be converted somehow but I’m just not sure how to do that. Thank you.
Hi All, Just purchased my 1st 360 camera (Insta 360 One RS 1 inch) and got into this issue. I see from my video that the color tone of the front camera and back seems to have a different temperature. Can someone advice what is happening here? Is it due to my setting?
thank you for the video. I prefer keyframes by far. It is too much stress for me to turn myself in circles while watching the video and zooming in and out at the same time is nothing I am really good at :-)
As a newbie, i hadnt quite understood the basics of editing a 360 video. This is the first tutorial that has begun to make things clear. Fantastic tutorial! Thanks!
i've just got One R. so excited to use it. but i have a question..for lens 4k no problem..but for 360 lens, when i use resolution 5.7k, 3k is quite lagging when to view it on laptop or handphone..can you assist me sir? 😅
Just into 360.. I don’t like viewfinder mode. I like the idea, but zooms end up way too fast and the whole result for me is not as smooth and flowing as using key frames. I also end up going through the process several times to get what I want, keyframes is a perfect result in one shot (with easy precise tweaks).
Ok my question is when you re frame your video, will someone that is watching this on like you tube / vr still be able to look around at at everything else in the video ?
I have watched about a gazillion tutorials and NOT ONE "tell you all" tutorials A) shows you how to hold the freaking camera and B) how to get to all these steps! I'm beyond frustrated! My app doesn't show some of those buttons like snap and edit? Not there! How the hell do you get to the + sign. That is not a default! Unless I split the video none of those segment edits are saved! Nor can I pan out without creating the damn earth ball planet look. I have the stupid stitch line in every video even tho I held the camera °|° in front of me. Again, not like any video teaches you how to hold it I'm literally so sick of watching any more tutorials. Literally none of them teaches anything for beginners! How about actually doing a step by step video. And that little plus sign doesn't do anything for keeping that frame if I turn and swing that phone. Maybe I'm too stupid for this but my patience has run out. Seriously. Way too fast explaining and all over the place! Dec not for beginners!
Well done excellent stuff. I am just getting myself comfortable with this camera and editing. Note: The castle isn't floating it is just surrounded by a moat.
Hi, thanks for you video. I have a problem where I can’t find a solution in Insta 360 on IPAD. I will make a traveling from 0 to 180. Somme time the direction in clockwise or counterclockwise How can I force the software to use one direction or the other. Thanks Rene from France.
Darn! This is the easiest video to understand how to edit the 360 footage on phone which is very frustrating and intimidating. I watched the other tutorial about the topic but couldn't finish them all but quit midway and felt sleepy. Lol
my mobile Samsung S20FE 5G is strucking a lot while editing. not as smooth as shown in ur video especially for videos more than 3 minutes to 10 minutes, is there any 360 desktop software to edit
I love your videos - so helpful. i could really use your help with making multiple clips from a single video? my videos are longer sometimes 15 -30 mins. i want to create multiple short clips, - how do i create and save them so i can use them in "Create a Story" thank you !
Wow .... what a wonderful class my friend !!! ... not too fast, not too slow ... simple words, good sound .... excellent !!!! in spanish we say ... "eres un capo" ... greetings from Cusco ... Perú !!!
With snap wizard, is the quality compromised? I ask because it takes a second to save the footage whereas exporting the footage the traditional way takes several minutes. Thank you!

Yes it is compromised - snap wizard will export at a lower bitrate which results in inferior video quality
@@Best360 Thank you very much for answering. Never use the snap wizard for my UA-cam videos then, got it 😁
Amazing thank you so much!!
You're so welcome!
how do you reframe a multiview part of a video in the Picture-In-Picture part?
Great vid. I think the app changed though, snap is not there and the auto ai edit is instead
Wow you made that look so easy, I can't wait to try these different modes now. Great work. Thanks.
Thank you! So far my framing makes viewers feel like puking. I appreciate you.
My interface seems little different.
