Thanks for this, very helpful. Using the app manually can drive me nuts. I’ll put in key frames but it jumps or rotates the opposite way for no reason!
Thanks Ben, this is the right toutorial at the right time! This is what an official Insta tutorial should look like. I think I will watch the video a few more times to learn with it.
Fantastic Ben! I've hesitated buying a Insta360 because I wasn't sure how easy it would be to edit. Your video is superb and makes it clear it's easy and powerful to use. Thanks!
Ben, you're an incredible 360º imagery ambassador! I've finally (today, minutes ago) bought the Insta360 X3 (pretty sure I did it through one of your links) and can't wait to start getting better footage and putting some of your awesome tips to use on the new cam (I have a One X now). I'd love to get into 360º property imagery and this seems to be a great balance between my budget and the quality I'll need, so thanks for all your input.
As a not terribly creative sort, I always dread the thought of videoing then editing experiences. This gives me so much more confidence knowing I can just video as I go and change perspective later. Then let the 360 app do a lot of the horsepower for me. Thanks!!
I have followed you for more than a year and as usual your content is on point! Sitting with my son as he is editing his clip for his high school graduation today.
This tutorial is so solid. Thank you so much! I was just looking for how to edit jump cuts but now I know how to use all the app's editing features. To answer your question: I'm using my insta360 to shoot myself as a mermaid underwater and as a stiltwalking butterfly queen on land. I was using a GoPro but found myself constantly frustrated with the limited field of view and how I'd mis-frame the shot being that I was also the subject. Hopefully now I can capture what I'm hoping to! Thanks again!
Thanks Ben for this wonderful video I learned a lot from you on how to use the 360 app properly hahaha i am new at this camera and this app and your video was really helpful.
I've already learned some of this already but there is a lot I didn't know. So thanks for the video. I shall be watching closely for more. Thanks again 👍😁
Thanks Ben. I know it’s all down to your enthusiasm and practice, but like an Olympic athlete you make it look all so easy. Me I get frustrated and switch to my computer. I really should stick with the app.
good video man. I'm thinking about getting the 360 x3. I make kayak fishing videos. I'm getting tired of moving the camera. it would be soo much easier to place the camera in front of me. then I can reframe it like me setting the hook. and then the fish jumping out of the water. best tutorial I've seen on this subject too far!
Superb tutorial 👍 thank you very much, great in depth knowledge. I only got my X2 yesterday but this has inspired me to get out and take some video. Even if it's so I have some content to play with the app.
Thanks Ben! I like this tutorial video as I am -planning to use my Insta OneX camera for the upcoming vacation trip to Vancouver+Toronto. I bought this camera for a while but still doesn’t know how to edit the video clips and photos!! Now it’s time for me to practice and get ready before our trip in early July.
Great video! Quick question, is downloading and exporting from the phone results into a poorer final quality than from the studio on laptop? Does it make a significant difference?
Awesome content Ben, and that is a term I do NOT usually use 😮 One question; The edit is separate to the raw footage and so is it possible to save an edit and then create another for the same raw footage? You might want to use different frames and views for different purposes, all from the same capture. Thanks 😊
Fantastic video tutorial. However, I don't really like editing on my phone. Now there is a free plugin for Davinci Resolve. Please make a video about to edit the 360 videos in Davinci.
Good stuff! Thank you! Question for Ben or anyone willing to help. I take snowboard footage with the invisible stick, fun stuff. I'd like top edit a video where I am riding along then the video footage itself pauses and I show a 360 view of my surroundings, then resume the video footage. I have made several efforts using freeze frame and keyframes, but this won't pause the image, it just allows slowmo 360 view, which is not ideal at all. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for this, very helpful. Using the app manually can drive me nuts. I’ll put in key frames but it jumps or rotates the opposite way for no reason!
Thank god I’m not the only one, been tearing my hair out
Thanks Ben, this is the right toutorial at the right time! This is what an official Insta tutorial should look like. I think I will watch the video a few more times to learn with it.
Got my first 360 Insta one inch, man it not easy for beginner...time flying... Thank you a lot for detailed edit introduction .
Lots of fun wow.

1 week user here. Thanks for revealing so much more about what the editor can do.
I knew everything but the reframing photo. Used to do everything on the Theta app for photos.
FINALLY!!! A tutorial that an old guy like me can sort of understand!!
Thanks a bunch!👍👍❤️
My pleasure 😇

Reframing lets you have fun AND record footage. and still end up with watchable video! It's the insta360 killer feature
The chair for editing is so essential and great fun😆

I needed this thank you. I hadn’t a clue!
Fantastic. Is it possible to change the FOV? For example, change the 360 to linear so you don't see the curvature at the corners? Many thanks.
I was wondering What computer or graphic cards would you consider work the best for 360 video
Thanks Ben! Awesome tutorial =)
Superb tutorial 👍 thank you very much, great in depth knowledge. I only got my X2 yesterday but this has inspired me to get out and take some video. Even if it's so I have some content to play with the app.

Thanks for the tips Mr Ben - inspired me to try a few. I find Deep Track works surprisingly well, and love a bit of hyperlapse
Awesome content Ben, and that is a term I do NOT usually use 😮 One question; The edit is separate to the raw footage and so is it possible to save an edit and then create another for the same raw footage?
