Is no one gonna bring up how *SQUEAKY CLEAN* Hank's intro was? No lie, when I saw this for the first time and Hank's shoes were visible, I thought to myself, "There's only one man who could be so brutal yet so clean with his killing, no original character could so casually hold a half decapitated head while walking forward." Then I smiled while saying, "Hank..." When he was fully revealed. Still gives me goosebumps every time.
Love the subtle details like hank nudging the nail to make sure Torture would land on it, hank stopping mid-jump when torture ran out of ammo, and that whole bar fight was awesome
This was incredible! I especially like how A.T.P Soldat's are more skilled than the other grunts, agents and engineers. Something I found rathe lacking in the original.
in the original series these guys have a different approach in fighting than other agents and are smarter but they still don't stand a chance even though they almost killed Deimos once
3:19 I like how he acknowledges Hank's Bullet-Time ability from Project Nexus Classic. Nice little detail there. It's a damn shame bullet-time didn't make it into Project Nexus though.
probably the COLDEST entrance in madness not saying best, mind you, mag-t’s was great and tricky first getting the probdrive’s powers were amazingly disorienting
Yes! Soldats were competent for once! Everytime I see a Madness animation, I hold my breath hoping the soldats put up more of a fight than the other AAHW units. This one finally puts them in a deserving light.
I've seen many Madness fan projects. Most are decent. A few are great. None quite capture the spirit, the dark humor and the brutality, the same way that Krinkels does. Until this one. So impressed man. This is my new favorite piece of Madness. Super well done.
6:52 This scene is beautiful like the whole video... First, when they hit Hank with batons, they really HIT, but when Henk goes into berserk mode, their batons turn into sticks, and they themselves look like children in our eyes. Perfect, just perfect
9:06 - 9:11 - 10:06 This hidden grunt is like me watching this insane fight, with the adrenaline, fear and the emotion of seeing it close to me. I loved the animation, an excellent job you did 👍
Love this animation, I love how the elite henchmen actually feel elite rather than 'different shade of enemy mowed down in droves'. The imagination for the combat scenes is incredible, especially for the last two fights. And the nonchalant Buns and Guns worker and the window replacement ad was the cherry on top. masterpiece.
Yeah, he knew Torture's mossberg's shotgun shell's powder cause the destruction, so he wondered,"What if i kept that nailhead's ammo from being used?".
This has definitely scratched my madness itch. The fight with the soldats was almost akin to a choreographed dance. And the fight against MAG torture? Something straight out of David and Goliath. Great work!
How to not die in madness combat: Step 1: Make a business selling hot dogs. Step 2: Do not question if a literal zombie clown walked up to you for some food. Step 3: Try not to panic as a wanted criminal slaughters 30 men in front of your eyes. Tips: If you're in the face of danger, you can just simply walk away because you gave food to a person who will spare you after tearing someone's head off. Provide him with any weapons if needed to increase the chance of survival...
The fact that this is only 10 minutes yet it feels like an entire feature-length film speaks volumes. This is by far one of the best MadCom animations I have ever seen. The way it's animated like a video game in certain spots and subtle details like Hank being disoriented after a flashbang, or even Torture having to adjust his glasses brings that extra level of realness that some animations leave out. Plus who doesn't love seeing Nevada's No.1 Genocidal Maniac ripping through grunts like a kid in a candy store? Massive Kudos to you my compadre, this is amazing!!
Actually competent fighters, holy shit this was amazing. I particularly love how torture wasn't just insta-killed and Soldats actually put up a fight rather than just instant death.
What I LOVE about this, is the end fight against the MAG. You really showed-off how Hank isn't just this run-&-gun, but can be a methodical fighter, planning ahead & setting things up in the fight. Wonderfully done, all-around.
The details are so much that if you pay attention, you can see that the Soldats are obviously skilled and well trained, having a almost even battle with Hank, but something i just can't stop notice is that, the Soldats work in pairs and in the fight with Hank, they never enter in the other FOV, they always try to get the other a clean vision of Hank and that's amazing. And omg the Torture fight, what a smooth and well done battle between two of my favourite characters in MC series, and different of other animations, here you can see weight difference between then, while Hank can jump easily, dodge roll, climb on him, Torture have all the heavy attacks, throws Hank on the wall even use the massive shotgun as a club to hit Hank, these details such as Hank breathing and giving a bigger breath when Torture come back, gives this animation another complete level.
Hank wave his hand when Torture was bout to fall, hank tried to dodge shot from torture shotgun shot and realise it run out of ammo. Thats all the details I spotted
The details in this are what make it so damn good. To the major ones like hank cutting the shotgun bullet in half and the sodats being heavily skilled, to the minor details like the grunt having to double check the number on the ad, and how hank took a deeper breath than usual once he saw Torture.
I think what I liked best about this can be summed up in one word: Weight. The actions have some actual oomph behind them that many animators just... don't seem to get? They make their fights much to "floaty" and loose, so there's no impact to things, the hits don't look like they connect despite the sound effects and reaction of things trying to convey otherwise. But here? Things have that impact, they have a sense of inertia and resistance, and therefore the action is so much better for it. Heck, I was cringing myself when Hank jumped out the window with the Soldat because the sheer weight of them dropping onto the walkway below looked extremely painful. No wonder he had to peel himself off the soldat and take a breather, even someone as tough as Hank probably broke a rib or two and was winded for a bit. Plus the acknowledgement of how the fight on the walkway bridge would have collapsed it after Torture's shotgun blasts weakend the structure was just... such a nice touch. As fantastical and weird as the Madness series is, this really set the bar high. Well done man, well done.
@Tanner Hutchings this wasn't hate though it's an artistic criticism, he didn't say any names or pointed at specific groups of people . Animating while yes is a very hard thing to do and requires alot of dedication, but like most crafts, research and study especially through critique can enhance ones future products .
Two years worth of work? Paid off really damn good! The choreographies are on-point! The effects? Lovely! They add a nice taste to the fighting, with all the swinging. The introduction of the Soldats was pretty darn good for a choreography and holy hell do I even need to mention that magnificent Agent Torture final fight? You keep impressing, mister. This has been 10 minutes of beautiful massacre and marvelous action! Keep it up and can't wait to see further work from you!
I'm just happy that the Soldats actually put up a good fight, instead of getting killed within a few seconds when they meet the protagonist. Awesome work! 👏
Everything about this is so awesome, and I think we have Teleport Interference to thank for Soldats getting their chance to shine in more madness animations
I absolutely love how in the madness series, grunts that sell stuff aren’t killed, and when absolute mayhem is going on. They just mind their business reading a book or something
according to the lore, an engineer and a soldat are at the same rank. most of the time only 3 are dispatched meaning 1 engineer and 2 soldats at the same time because they work better if there's 1 squad leader and only 2 and can actually do some serious damage. imagine Sanford and Deimus working together well but with 3. because as you see, Hank works alone, Sanford and Deimus works together, and the ATP agents work as 3 in order to be deadly.
@EVAN DZULFAGAR FAITH SIREGAR There's no genders in Madness Combat if I recall; all Grunts are non-binary, so while technically "they're" would be a better term, "it" is still valid.
that is dope and I love this moment 9:27, caught me off guard, one of many moments throughout this vid showing how much thought went into animating this, great job, very well done
This is freaking phenomenal. The fight choreography is astounding and just got better and better as it continued. That final fight was so good, the way Hank dodges and weaves around, the amount of weight behind Torture's movements and his attempts to combat such a nimble enemy, jeez it's fantastic.
This is 2 years worth 2 decades. You did amazing with the story and animation, I could analyze every single detail here and it STILL wouldn't be enough to credit the effort you've put into this masterpiece. Good job lad.
I just realized Hank never abandoned the dragon sword. In the other madness combat series, Hank always forgets about the dragon sword because he is too busy fighting or died. This must be the only video that shows Hank keeping the dragon sword🐲🗡 Well done man😁
Ok, this is criminally underrated. I mean, the models, the animations, the fight scenes, the little jokes (particularly with the shop owner. Those gave me a laugh), every single detail looks like it had hours upon hours of effort out into it and it makes for one of the best 3D animations I’ve ever seen. My only regret was seeing this in my recommended weeks ago and not watching it sooner. Also part two foreshadowing? Sign me tf up

Is no one gonna bring up how *SQUEAKY CLEAN* Hank's intro was? No lie, when I saw this for the first time and Hank's shoes were visible, I thought to myself, "There's only one man who could be so brutal yet so clean with his killing, no original character could so casually hold a half decapitated head while walking forward."
Then I smiled while saying, "Hank..." When he was fully revealed. Still gives me goosebumps every time.

Whoops, should have scrolled a bit more down lol.
Fun fact : ' soldat ' mean ' soldier '
Well they are supposed to be perfect soldiers,
ATP soldiers are 2nd most elite units tho and topmost elite units are the M.A.D. ones like Hank, Sanford, Deimus, and 10 others
in the original series these guys have a different approach in fighting than other agents and are smarter but they still don't stand a chance even though they almost killed Deimos once

Love this animation, I love how the elite henchmen actually feel elite rather than 'different shade of enemy mowed down in droves'. How to not die in madness combat:
Step 1: Make a business selling hot dogs.

The way it's animated like a video game in certain spots and subtle details like Hank being disoriented after a flashbang, or even Torture having to adjust his glasses brings that extra level of realness that some animations leave out.
Finally a animation where soldats aren’t just bullet sponges
7:57 is my favorite part, he’s like “ God damnit. “
Animating while yes is a very hard thing to do and requires alot of dedication, but like most crafts, research and study especially through critique can enhance ones future products .
i love how hank always spares the cashiers and people who work at a shop, because they dont intend to hurt hank anyways
2:10 this man almost made the smartest decision of any Madness Combat Character that wasn’t a main character ever
I love how that one Agent took a bit to admire how Hank blocked a bullet with a sword
I'm just happy that the Soldats actually put up a good fight, instead of getting killed within a few seconds when they meet the protagonist. Awesome work! 👏
7:48 Torture's just like "Hey Hank, you forgot this."
More like "hey tiny baby son of a bitch here is your sword tiny man"
Everything about this is so awesome, and I think we have Teleport Interference to thank for Soldats getting their chance to shine in more madness animations
I absolutely love how in the madness series, grunts that sell stuff aren’t killed, and when absolute mayhem is going on. They just mind their business reading a book or something
*WTH, THIS IS CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED!!!*
according to the lore, an engineer and a soldat are at the same rank. most of the time only 3 are dispatched meaning 1 engineer and 2 soldats at the same time because they work better if there's 1 squad leader and only 2 and can actually do some serious damage. imagine Sanford and Deimus working together well but with 3. because as you see, Hank works alone, Sanford and Deimus works together, and the ATP agents work as 3 in order to be deadly.

and I love this moment 9:27, caught me off guard, one of many moments throughout this vid showing how much thought went into animating this, great job, very well done

He does abandon it, Torture just gives it back to him
Ok, this is criminally underrated. I mean, the models, the animations, the fight scenes, the little jokes (particularly with the shop owner. Those gave me a laugh), every single detail looks like it had hours upon hours of effort out into it and it makes for one of the best 3D animations I’ve ever seen.
