As someone who has only ever listened to Brandon’s books on audible one I my favorite things is hearing how other people that had to sound the words out for them selves pronounce words in the Cosmere books
If you are curious, The Sanderlanche podcast starts an Elantris read-along next week (the host has read all Cosmere, while the rest hasn't). They just finished Mistborn Era 1 XD.
I went back and forth on this, I'll lay out my general spoiler philosophy here. I consider a spoiler to be something that actively spoils a readers enjoyment of a book. Knowing hemalurgy exists doesn't ruin the plot twists of the books, even though it's existence and mechanics are not revealed till later on in the series. Same with the 16 metals. In my opinion, knowing there are more metals doesn't spoil a reader's enjoyment of the book. It gets pretty subjective quickly, but that's my general philosophy for spoilers. If you feel differently, I'd love to know. I want to know where my audience draws the line on this sort of thing so that I can tailor my channel accordingly. After typing this all out, I honestly want to make a whole video talking about this cause it's such an interesting conversation to have
@@LoreoftheWorlds Honestly, I like your current philosophy. Other cosmere videos often seem to censor every other word not wanting to spoil anything. I like how your videos are almost educational about the cosmere. You’re channel is one of my favorites. You make super high quality, interesting and thought-provoking videos. Keep up the great work!
Good video, one complaint: it's pronounced HEMAlurgy, as opposed to HEmalurgy. Say it however you want, of course, but you ARE saying it wrong! :-D haha keep making these great videos!
I'm one of those people who only read the books so I don't know the "correct" way of pronouncing things--and I am always afraid to talk about books with people who are going to bully me about that XD

I have been loving your videos. I only have 1 criticism. You don't make enough!
Thank you!
I’ve revisited this video a few times to brush up on this topic-thanks for such a thorough but simple breakdown!

This is one of the channels with the best videos about cosmere that I have found :]
These are so good, can't wait to see your channel grow in popularity like it deserves
You and me both! Thanks for the kind words :)
Great video I'm excited to see the one about sel... But I think I have to read the book again ❤️
Do it! If you haven't read emperor's soul, that's also a great novella that takes place on Sel. Glad you enjoyed the vid!

The existence of Hemalurgy is a spoiler, isn't it?
I would say so, also the fact that there are 16 metals is a spoiler as well.

I’m not sure if hemalurgy counts as a spoiler, it’s kind of mysterious up until book 3
Wasnt harmony the reason why there are no full feruchemist?
Sazed was the last one, as far as i can remember

Great video! It is really hard to listen to the pronunciation problems though!

I'm an audiobook listener all the way but I try and be understanding, though I do tell people how I have heard it be pronounced.
