Wow. As a DD75 owner, I've been contemplating the Lekato as an upgrade. You have answered all my questions and showed some upgrade possibilities I was not aware of. Such a powerful portable kit. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for this fantastic video. Did you use the original LEKATO cables for the new ATV module? And did you attach the new module with the bracket that came with the CPD1000?
It's a cable snake, so it only fits the Lekato module. I wrote a stinking novel down below, but I added my Roland TD6 module and used 3 of the Lekato plugs so I can have 6 extra cymbals and the Lekato woodblocks can be cymbals or toms or crazy sounds now....lol Kinda defeats the purpose of a portable drum set, but it is super fun to play !!!! Hehehehehehe Have a great day ! :-)
@@john-michaelthomas4927 here are the settings I'm using on ATV module so it makes the snare use it's 2 zones. On lekato's included module I couldnt achieve the same. drive.google.com/file/d/10Ee0vaWMXKGfZpNt7-k2Rhb1t-isjUHO/view?usp=drivesdk
@@jamesm3235 I didn't see any firmare updates for it. Is there a firmare update for it?? I could give it a shot in case it helps others. I still think it's a great bit of kit regardless. But with ATV module it's AMAZING
@@john-michaelthomas4927 I did not have to switch anything for dual zone. I just selected I think a pd12 or something like that I'm atv module and it worked. I then messed with rim setting in atv trigger setting and the snare works nicely as 2 zone. I think the lekato module is what limits the snare
I agree, but the sounds aren't too bad on the Lekato module. They just need to integrate it a bit, and it'd be much better. I hope they come out with an all mesh version, with duel zones on everything !!! I don't mind the small woodblocks as cymbals. They work well and the dynamics aren't too bad either, but they could integrate that a bit better too... So....they can really make this set way better if they put a little TLC into it....lol All in all, if you get a kick pad & kick pedal and snare stand, this set is pretty cool the way it is. Have a great day ! :-)
@j.f.4765 I used a long "clamp on cymbal boom arm"... you can get those from any brand... I like Tama, but gibraltar makes some nice cheaper ones too. Pearl makes some really expensive ones. It's just clamped onto the body of the snare stand.
i am sure that new Module has better sensitivity and threshold, Other wise it feels to slow between toms with Rudiments.i use it as a practice pads for now till i get a better module.
Yeah, I noticed that and made a section on that in video... it seems other are having the same issue. The issue is definitely the module it comes with :(
@@SimpleAndyRock Thank You for the kind reply ,well i dont have the ATV but the default module just reacts slow. for example try a fast Paradiddle or Ratamacue between Snare and Tom 1 u will miss some notes. (wont hear some of the Ghost Notes) inside one of the Toms are pans instead of cones and they only seem to react when hitting more center,i been playing al my life, but decided to get this one to use mostly as a practice pad. when i am not home.. i just wonder if the Alesis Dm6 would work just as good at the ATV? as i cant see investing $300.00 more on a module for that kit at this time :)
@@SimpleAndyRock Right i am sorry that is what i meant with the Module change it is better just hope there a module that is cheaper then the atv that will fit on there just as good and responsive as Your atv
@@jomsantos8306 you mean where it misses some hits when doing fast stuff between toms and snare? I covered that issue in video but couldn't fix it. I switched the module and then it works perfectly.
@johnmichaelagustin3821 yeah in the video I cover a bit with the cpd module... I changed it because the hardware is quite nice, but the module has issues when triggering certain fast combinations. It triggers beautifully with the atv module and the snare can do 2 zones. It's all covered in the video :)

Super helpful video!!
Thank you Andres , im planning on buying DD75 but now i think ill switch to CPD1000 or Thomson TED 100.
