electronincs have saved my playing because I can parctice any time I want these days.... - I just purchased this kit.
Just a note of experience with having owned some Alesis drums like this for several years. Make sure all the tigger screws are tight. They tend to loosen over time and can cause trigger issues. I Put a little lock tight on them and I haven’t had any issues since.

I just bought mine from Guitar center with the expantion pack. It did feel a little tight for space on the rack when I installed the extra pads at first, but I have gotten used to playing it like that. I plan to take mine with me when I go to college and stuff, so I can practice and play, but I'm currently using it at my church right now. So far, the first service I did with it went well. I'm slowly tightening up the heads as I play and get the feel of things.

Hey Daniel appreciate the demos. With this module and obviously it having more sounds than the mesh. Can you use this drum kit to play just about any song?

edrums have come a very long way from around 10 years ago when they all sounded like cheap toys... especially with the BFD I don't even think you would still need to download samples off the interwebs because they already sound good in the presets

Can it rim click? Like for cross stick stuff ?
Some presets, such as kits 9, and 12 use a sound on the snare rim that is a dool layer sound between a cross stick and a rim shot. It's set up so that if you play on the rim softly it will play the click and as you play harder, the rim shot will start to come in. It is a little bit annoying that they didn't do this for the new sounds though, since the kits after the first 8 are all presets from the previous generation kits and use the older sounds.
The hi-hat is not near as acoustic. I hope they fix the hi-hat

Lol, right! The real power is in the BFD player in my opinion!
Not a big fan of the kick and the tom samples. While they are decent, I would much rather run the kit through EZDrummer
Ya you can do that too. I just like that this kit comes with everything you need to get into midi drums, especially for beginners or people who have limited knowledge or exposure to midi drums and VSTs.
