The big takeaway here is there's a difference between liking anime, being into it a decent amount, and being a hardcore otaku who sleeps with dakimakura.
Feels like most would be fine with the former but not so many with the latter. Goes for other "obsessions" too tho. Like someone who for ex goes to gym 6x a week, can be seen as more of a negative thing
@@TcGroenestegeWait, what. Aren't we supposed to go 6x times a week? 💀 Since we are paying for it I think we should go to gym every possible day (I don't go on Sundays because it's closed). Anyway, I agree with you. There's no problem liking anime and watching it on free time. It's the same as playing video games, listening to music, going for a walk. The problem starts when it becomes obsessive.
@@TcGroenestege Idk where you heard this from, but going to the gym 6x a week is far from obsession. Its called a routine. Unless you spend more than 3hrs a day in a gym as a working adult even though its not your job, then maybe, but still.
@@smith123pYeah, if going to the gym 6x a week doesnt affect you negatively, be it mentally, physically or soicially, then you should if you can. Agreed on the rest you said.
Oh I hope she does this again with more questions like, guys who wear anime t-shirts, I also hope she goes to Wonderfest and do interviews there! 1st time watching her content.
All in moderation; be it drinking, sports, cars etc.. and that includes games, Animes, movies.. If you want to be in a relationship, you need to think about the one you want to be with and that's on both sides. Not selfish, but not a doormat either. And spend time together to form a nice bonding that can last the harsh world we live in. If there s something you like before meeting her, and then she agrees to be with you, only later to try to make you change or stop what you like, she wasn't the one for you, let her go.
I think the best place to be is to be generally versed in many areas, while having a few that peak your interest the most. This way you can be an interesting and fun person to be around regardless of the setting. I think it's overall good to have a healthy balance in order to live a generally good quality life and by proxy it will make that lifestyle attractive to your potential love interest without you necessarily aiming for it directly. I have a collection of dinosaur resin models and various figurines (plastic, glass and marble), anime figures, small book collection, Warhammer miniatures, medieval weapon replicas and I spend a lot of time building and painting model kits or sculpting, love going to museums, castles, zoos (since I live in London, having lots of birds, foxes and squirrels around all the time already feels like I live in a zoo though lol), parks and stuff like that. But if you ever met me in person you would never think I am the type who does all that stuff :)
Its awesome having girls interview girls about opinions they may not feel as comfortable answering honestly as they would if a guy were asking... especially if they were Otaku 😅👍
Nice interview. Very casual, open friend and honest. Very interesting views and it's great to see them being given a comfortable space in which to say them Well done.,
I was a bit surprised to hear many of these girls would be uncomfortable with their partner being into romance shows. Personally, getting into anime helped foster a perspective that any medium and genre of storytelling can offer meaningful insight into the human journey. I'll watch shows irregardless of genre if the content seems interesting or well crafted. Some of my favorite stories are romance or otherwise shojo themed. A good story is a good story, what can I say!
I believe what probably the main reason is that both the mc and the love intrest have over the top reactions and unrealistic behaviors, making some romance animw unbearable to watch.
And none of them are saying a disparaging thing about Otakus. They understand and know the difference between " it's a hobby and a liking of anime " as opposed to " eeew...guy's a loser." That's very refreshing to see and totally helps that anime is so in-grained into the DNA of the Japanese people.
There is a reason there are so many anime stores here in Japan. I see lots of girls there as well. Especially around Ikebukuro which is like the Akihabara for women. Also there are often cosplayers meeting after some bad thing happened in Akiba I heard. Even old guys read some Manga or play mobile games. It's normal here. Just don't expect everyone liking an Otaku though. It depends on how you take care of yourself and some just are not into it and care about other things like anywhere else.
You should do a second video asking these question, but when a girl says they’re okay dating a guy with a body pillow, I come around the corner and introduce myself to them.
so you love watching movies where the female lead cheats on her current man to date the new male lead that is stealing her from her current man good to know
Por qué no intentas hacer este tipo de preguntas en otras ciudades Japonesas tan grandes como Tokio? Y también en las zonas rurales, seria interesante ver que piensan, saludos 👋
Hi Sayuri, I enjoyed your vlog. What you put together was very interesting? Have a wonderful weekend, and keep up the brilliant work.............. Garrie chan
I think the kind of anime you watch also matters. If you watch mostly ecchi stuff with high school girls then I think most women would rightfully say no.
One thing that makes me want to go to japan someday, unlike america there's almost no overweight girl on the streets. The girls are pretty stylish as well.
I've seen a video about akari kito on a youtube video yesterday. His dad is an otaku and he got married, having 2 daughters also. Even introduced their kids about anime, and making her a famous VA indirectly. So what I'm trying to say is, it's not impossible guys. Disclaimer : This only works if you're japanese or able to speak Japanese
I'm just casually watching and reading Light Novel but my Image in School are not I only do it at home 😊 it's hard because I'm into sports and this classmates think about me as a cool guy that's why I need to hide my secret hobby 私はまだハーフ日本人です 😂
These all seem to be college age or younger women who haven’t outgrown anime yet. A relationship based on anime likes or dislikes is pretty shallow and won’t last.
Not in your room lol. Just go outside. Talk to people that aren't walking somewhere and don't look too busy with something. If the conversation goes well then maybe ask them out. Also don't be pushy.
Would they date a 6'4ft Chad that does whatever or likes whatever yes. Would they date an average guy that does or doesn't do or like xyz no. It's very simple
As much as i want to be a part of Japan because Japanese women are hot, I got a few problems first I cannot comprehend and grasp the language, second I just find anime fucking weird!!!!

why would I need a woman when I have a dakimakura?
All of the ladies interviewed were so pleasant and understanding.
They all had very calm energy about them. 👍
I see Sayuri, the video gets an automatic thumbs up!
She's cute
simp
yeah she’s so adorable ❤
Thanks!
I'm actually really surprised how chill/open minded these women were, thats pretty cool to see
the ppl that aren’t either don’t agree to interviews or don’t make the edit
Thanks, Sayuri, and everyone involved. Entertaining and informative as always.🥰💚🌱🗾

Awe, what a nice video. I'm glad that there are many women who enjoy watching anime in Japan.
as an american i have to say Japan is amazing yall are awesome
All these ladies are beautiful, the first Lady is a knockout 🫠🤌🏽
Japanese women are far more beautiful than Koreans. They are natural beauty.

There's nothing wrong to be obsessed with something, mind your business
1:34 Could have translated this as "I'm somewhat of an otaku myself" (both for the meme, and for accuracy)
Great video! Keep it up 👏
Im surprised by how many girls actually watch anime and don't have a negative image towards men watching anime😄. Amazing video as always. お疲れ様です!
If this was question was asked in a western country, I think there would be so much more negative thoughts.
@@m._le I agree, 100%
lol why anime and manga is an integral part of Japanese culture it’s not fringe at all

So we're allowed 9 anime posters... hell yeah!!
1:31 best girl she's so precious 😊
she's super cute
The girl at 4:40 is extremely beautiful and has a very calm nature to her
You should do a second video asking these question, but when a girl says they’re okay dating a guy with a body pillow, I come around the corner and introduce myself to them.
do what ever you like is my takeaway. there is always someone who will be ok with it. oh and im a guy who favors romcoms
so you love watching movies where the female lead cheats on her current man to date the new male lead that is stealing her from her current man
good to know
They are shockingly nice, I'm kind of an otaku myself (no posters or daki, just watch a lot of anime), and I wouldn't even be so nice as some of them
Never believe what japanese people say in front of camera
Por qué no intentas hacer este tipo de preguntas en otras ciudades Japonesas tan grandes como Tokio? Y también en las zonas rurales, seria interesante ver que piensan, saludos 👋
Sayuri is so pretty!!!
When Japanese are being filmed on camera there is the " tatemae " response and then there's the " honne " response.
otsukare, fighting the good fight for otaku around the world!! even though Sayuri is like swimming in sweat
The term otaku has very different conotations in Japan and the rest of the world.
I need Sayuri to take me to any Cafe she wants. I’m there seated and ready.
Normalizing brothels, but having conflicted opinions on people who watch a certain type of tv show is wild lol
Hi Sayuri, I enjoyed your vlog. What you put together was very interesting? Have a wonderful weekend, and keep up the brilliant work.............. Garrie chan
Sayuri san. Can you interview japanese girl about dating asean guys😊😊
Breaking news: women like passionate people, not obsessive weirdoes that can only talk about one subject 24/7 (like anime).
these women are japanese. they are culturally conditioned to be polite and not truly be honest.
Very nice interview..
Well, there is hope for all of us !!..
Remember, no more than 10 posters in the bedroom..😅
I think the kind of anime you watch also matters. If you watch mostly ecchi stuff with high school girls then I think most women would rightfully say no.
I thought she said she's Sayori from ddlc 😭
cool video tho
I am a Vietnam Otaku. I love Anime and Manga. I hope I can date Japan Otaku Girls in the future.
Uwo girl dating video!
What about an Idol Otaku (me) ?
Isn't this like asking "Would you date a guy who watches netflix every day?"
Rough. I knew what the outcome would be.
If you say that Saiki is your favourite show, you already have an advantage with me.
みんなアニメが好きのような世界に入っちゃった。
3:42 she looks like NMIXX Jiwoo
Brb, moving to Japan.

I would blush on camera is I was interviewed by this lady

anime otaku are no longer alien to the society. but their image was very bad in the 90s and 00s

2:46 terkejut sayaa 🎉
when they realised Elon Musk is also otaku, lmao
They should take into account the appearance of the otaku guys because these girls are all 8s and up and the usual otaku guy is a 2
Would they date a 6'4ft Chad that does whatever or likes whatever yes. Would they date an average guy that does or doesn't do or like xyz no. It's very simple
Would you date a REALLY hit girl who watched garbage TikToks? You would
アニメはとっても大好き。。オタクです🤙
girls like guys that are tall and handsome. thats it
You forgot the most important one, relative financial success (almost every woman prefers someone who earns more than she does).
If I need a Japanese wife, I'll go to an animation studio and just ask, "Girls, who's single and doesn't have a boyfriend? Come with me to a cafe."
As much as i want to be a part of Japan because Japanese women are hot, I got a few problems first I cannot comprehend and grasp the language, second I just find anime fucking weird!!!!
