Yeah but there is no way that guy wasn't paid to say he plays it
Yep that's how promotions work
raid pays absolute bank too
You should be mad. Well, slightly annoyed. Ads shouldn't be smooth, they should be clear, distinct from regular content, and openly disclosed. Obviously there's no mistaking that there's paid content here, so it's not a huge issue, but it still needs to be distinct.
@@DodderingOldMan I said smooth not deceptive. Deceptive I cannot abide. Good point though.
I was on a trip in Japan the other week and when we were in Harajuku I actually saw you interview someone (to be honest I was too shy to approach you). But you can't imagine how hyped I was when I saw my husband and I in the background of your new video. I really like watching your videos and already learned a lot about Japanese people and culture. Thanks for doing all this and giving an inside into Japan. :)
Honestly that's also pretty respectful since you can imagine if someone has lots of viewers and everyone approached them in the street when they saw them it could get pretty overwhelming.
I'm glad you got to appear in the video, pretty cool and you have an extra memory saved from your trip :).
I think you should have gone over and told him all that in person. He seems pretty nice, I’m sure he would have loved to meet one of his fans.
So in Japan the Souls-like genre is called "Death Game". Interesting and honestly sounds better.
Indeed
yes interesting, and it sounds cooler than souls like
It makes a lotta sense when the first thing someone learns in those games is YOU DIED

too bad america will cencor it
i dont think it sounds better. i never really associated those games with death. yes, if you never played these kind of games they can be difficult. but if you are a good gamer you should get the hang of it pretty quick.
soulslike definitely fits better.

music games are not famous, esepecially arcade games
When we translated Ultima Online to Japanese, the players in the game jumped quite a lot. At peak, I think we had 75,000 Japanese players. One player, I forget his name, would give me presents in the game. He didn't speak English. I eventually tracked him home in developer invisible mode and decorated the outside of his house with a garden. He loved it.
I helped the management team in Tokyo quite a bit with their requests. They sent me a complete set of Japanese trading cards. I think I'm the only person in the US to have an entire set.
That's great. I used to play that game with my uncle in the USA. My first MMO. I was pretty bad at it though, being only 10 haha. Not clear how to make progress when you're a kid, and lots of PKs. Plus dying means you lose everything. And spells cost money with reagents. Man that was a different era!
@@Blaisem Do you feel nostalgic when watching MMORPG anime?
@@spartanbeast3575 No, I treat them like any other anime. They don't have much in common with actual MMORPGs.
For one thing they are often basically isekai in that the character is living in a full-on virtual reality within the game. Our MMOs aren't nearly so sophisticated ;)
@Blaisem ah makes sense. That perspective is interesting.
I used to play UO all the time back in the day in the US. I actually randomly met someone in Tokyo who used to play on the same shard as me.

I really liked what the girl in red said about Automata and Replicant. BATTLEFIELD 1 MENTIONED YESSSS MASTERPIECE
@@hitachicordoba Forza is more on the arcade type while AC is more of a simulator, so its less forgiving and will punish you. It's one of sim racing's gold standard.
