@@michaelmelling9333 That team with Tom Brady was fabulous and they should have won the title as well. My reason for saying that this was the greatest team not to win the title is because; 1. DEFENSE. They shut out Indiana, Wisconsin and Purdue. Held Ohio State to only 3 points at the Horse Shoe. Held Washington to only 2 field goals in Bo's first Rose Bowl win. In the last 5 games including he Rose Bowl, they did not allow ONE touchdown (Defense wins Championships) 2. OFFENSE. This was the only team in College and Pro Football history to have 3 Running backs (Woolfolk, Edwards and Ricks) to rush for ALMOST 3,000 yards. Woolfolk 1042yds, Edwards 901yds, and Rick 850yds in one season. 3. ANTHONY CARTER...need I say more. Can you imagine if Tom Bray had Anthony Carter on his team? Peace...
this is where the team hit stride. indiana thinking they would win at home. game was not on tv in metro detroit, therefore all my memories of it involve ufer and highlights from michigan replay. after this we were an unbeatable powerhouse. no more td's allowed all season.
At 9:23 my brother Keith Bostic #13 with the INT. #GoBlue
This was the greatest Michigan team to not win the National Title.
Actually, it was the team that Tom Brady led against Alabama (but had lost to MSU earlier).

Too bad Michigan lost 2 games early in the season
I clicked on this video to see some Butch Woolfolk highlights. Guess he was injured this game and out.

Damn, Indiana couldn't get anything going.
Better team the year before
