Oh you should watch the Spiffing Brit video on this. He made the ultimate scam MMORPG. You have to kill 100 enemies or do 100 quests to level up past level 1. Inns charge hundreds of real dollars and you can't log out without going to an inn, respawn points charge hundreds of dollars, and you can't get to the level 2 area without fighting off hundreds of enemies. All the enemies have almost max hp, damage, etc. And the best part: If you do reach level 2 you can only get there by using a fast travel that costs $100 and it takes you to a poorly built level 2 town where you fight penguins. Your reward for spending thousands of dollars to reach level 2. If Kevin knew this game better he could create a truly evil experience XD Also: You can edit the quests and add quests, rename them, rename buildings, etc.

actually, not the worst of ideas. imagine a real scam world, not some minor EA or Blizzard stuff, no, a proper scam: A game in hardcore mode. like diablo maybe. and the monsters and bosses dont slowly increase in difficulty, they just hit you with the big massive lvl90 final boss right outside of happy town. the only way to optain xp is by picking a cherry from the only cherry tree in town. those cherrys respawn within 1 min per region. players spawn camp the cherry to gain 10xp. the other option is to buy one time use item: immortality for 10s. the point is: you are not dealing enough damage to kill the final boss, not in 10s not in 10 000s. this item costs 10 dollars. Dying means resetting the character completely. 0xp. no items. did i mention, the final boss has a second phase with self healing? :)
