The upgrades in chests are much more helpful when stacked, so even the cheaper ones can benefit you a lot! I don't personally find the gold chests very worth it early game but I also don't tend to get very lucky lol

Gronk is easy asf to kill if you just stay behind him and let him keep doing his crazy slash attack, I killed him with a wooden axe before so it’s possible to get the sword hilt and blade on day one to get Gronks sword. Or rather day zero
Love the video! Helpful tip that the rare metals are in caves and you can mine up from the upgrade you have, so when you have mithril you can get Adamantium which is a better metal

When playing this game, I found out you can cut the mining time a little bit if you swap to another item and back to the tool, as soon as you hit an object
Kevin, here are some tips for you. 1. Don't bother with the really expensive chests until near the end of the game. Open as many 25 chests as possible in the first 4 days because all chests get more expensive after day 4. 2. When you see the rock dudes about to throw a rock, quickly run backwards. Their throw distance is selected when they start the animation, but the rock flies in the direction they are looking. If you back up when they start the animation, they will throw it like, a foot in front of them. 3. Once you get steel items, do as many combat shrines as possible (The square ones with the spikes). Its a free item and they don't take to long with the steel sword/pickaxe. 4. Ditch your tools once you've crafted new ones. They are literally useless unless you are playing with friends. When you do play with friends, keep them in a chest. 5. Mine every single coal you find. Its worth the time it takes. 6. When you put your base down, press M to look at your map so you know the general location of it at least. 7. The sky base does work, ya just have to not break it :P. And be ready to kill everything that spawned at the same time but thats a different story.

Dont be afraid to just stick to Iron sword for a bit, with buffed stats itll be better with nothing and a mithril sword. When attacking enemies early game sprint and strafe left to right to avoid getting hit. Rinse and repeat until you become unkillable
Black chests are free, open those. Also, try and build your base near the boat, but stay away from it at night so it doesn't get attacked. And you know, don't die.

Also find villagers to trade with, they can sell adamantite tools and weapons, plus they buy stuff from you. I've beaten Muck many times, building walls is an unnecessary waste of time.
It seems that the sky base strategy would work. Maybe the game doesn't handle being too far from the ground so perhaps enemies don't know where you are?

We had similar progress and it was all fun and games till my boss spawned. I had pretty good upgrades. Yada yada without going into the details: Gronk spawned. I wacked it a bunch He was 2hp Then I died Needless to say I loved the video and it felt like I was doing something together up until we both inevitably died. Looking forward to more Gronk- I mean Muck
On the note of being too apologetic during battle: That's why we Canadians avoid fighting, it just becomes an embarrassing display of constantly apologizing for both hitting and missing eachother, aswell as for not dying, and to our dead opponents. It's honestly just more work/guilt than it's worth.
more muck more muck, also the best strat is to spend all ur money on the cheapest chests and just get a crap tonne of speed and damage upgrades rather than bigger upgrades
Pro tip, dont buy any other chest then the cheapest one, just spam buy it. Get iron tools and farm coins. You can bassicaly kill a boss if you have a iron sword and a few perks
