@@MegaMaxmas
Thank you bro My girl put a new ignition switch on her bike and had me running in circles trying to figure it out (I'm a chopper guy). Asked her for her old switch, plugged it in...started quick. Smh 🤷♂️🙇♂️🙏 appreciate the help.
@@keenenfoster1517 hi big man my bike is showing key security light so lm so sure something wrong with it so my question is if l by pass it that same way ,does it works?
I understand this is an old post. But I’m having something similar going on. Okay so I’m not getting anything on dash besides illumination and dummy lights. Looked over the wires and the key switch wires have been cut both. The red wire and the green. At the connector they have the red and the green connected to the red coming from the switch side. And the green on the switch side is not connected. The main wire harness itself had several splits in the harness and I had just ordered another one. Put the main harness on the bike had the key switch wired the same as pervious harness and don’t get any spark. But with new harness have high beams and before only had low beams.
Hi Name is Joe I’m in a similar boat with wiring problems and ignition problems your video was very useful but I still don’t understand where the blue wire goes over the descriptions on the wires to bypass for the time being
I dont know im having the same issues tried everything still wont work im hoping this works if it dose i owe u a million thanks be safe out there and keep The Wheels on the pavement
I am having this problem. No spark. Bought a new ignition switch when it came I realized it didn't have the diode so I put the old one back in but I did replace the diode on that one. I'm still not getting spark though. Why? What could the problem be?
hey are u sure its a 3.9v/5 watt zenor diode and did it work did it make your fuel pump prime up and your bike run and instead of haveing it from the battery wouldent it be better on a switched wire like the red black wire that comes of the ignition or sauder it back in the ignition bottom u have then put that bottom on the ignition u can order from amazon and have a proper working ignition and is that diode any diffrent then a 3.9v 1/2 watt zenor cause thats what i was told to get and when i did it wouldent work for me so i am going to buy a new battery and a few of thoes diodes tomorrow and a few voltage reducers to just incase that one doesent work for me on my 02 cbr 954
Bob Gordon yes I know the wire isn’t A1 but I was just given a layout of what’s needed . But yes I’m sure that this help the pump priming and firing problems.for (2000 cbrF4) not a cbr 954rr , but only good luck is that I have a Cbr954RR 03 now , I can take a look an see what I can help out with .
@@keenenfoster1517 so u are sure its a 3.9v/5 watt then so its a 5 watt not a .5 watt witch .5 is a 1/2 watt well ill go get a few new 3.9v/5 watt and some voltage reducers as well cause i am having that problem as well but when i hook a 9 volt batt up it primes and has spark and when i poor a little gas down the intake it will fire and run for a few seconds then die and everything is new and it used to run just fine new tank new fuel pump new relays new bank angel sensor my battery is not the best but will still make it fire up when i prime it like i said i am going to jumo the service wire and read the codes i also have chaged the ecu cause i have a hole parts bike that ran fine tell it blew a rod so i have every part i need just a matter of figuring it out i also changed the hole harnees to thinking it was the problem but it was not im getting to the point where i am so frustrated with it
hey guys this is the closes video Ive found to coming close to my issue. So my bike was stolen this past December and now i am trying to get it back up and running. Who ever stole it hot wired it with some kind of contraption. well i am finally ready to start it and when i do i get no spark at the plugs. Fuel system is good and primes. I just cant get in to roll over any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated
david winn hey boss , I would need to know what kind of contraction the thief done to the bike , when you got it back we’re you able to drive it ? If you can send me some pictures of the set up I could try my best to get you up and running 👍🏽
Yea I have the same 2000 cbr F4 with an F4i tail stunt bike but I'm having the same dumb ass problem I watch this video a while ago didn't pay it attention🤦🏾♂️ change the spark plugs, flushed the coolant, 3 fuel pump, 2 oil changes, 3 ECUs, 1 new battery and the same DAMNNNNNN thing no spark no prime 🤷🏾♂️ so I watch this video about 10 times then I realized I switched the the ignition switch when I first purchased the bike 😣 So my question is should I swap the zina dial thingy from the old ignition or flash the ECU or I know the 9 volt battery trick worked for my friends bike but its an 04 you think any of these thing will work?????
I’m trying to install a remote start but it looks like something like that happen when I try to turn on the bike with the remote start. The starter is cranking but the bike don’t turn on
A zener diode alows voltage to be reversed meaning current can flow back and forth which is called reverse biased, it purposely allows a breakdown of current meaning it does not allow current to flow one way like a 100 ohm resistor does. So for a CDI to see the currect voltage it needs to also RETURN. make sense?
I bought a wrecked bike and plan on using one of these engines in a Go Kart build. Can I use that key you got online for the ignition or do you need the original key?
Fink yes you can use the new key , long as you hook the zener diode up , an the ecu is getting the 9v to it , if you cover all of the angles you should be good .

What was the blue wire that you had cut on the ecu? Does that matter at all?
I just bought a 06 cbr f4i that is doing the same thing I am going to try this today hope it works been working on it for 2 months now
Michelle Wright did it work for your bike ?
Did it?
great video keenen. but was just wondering if i put a 9 volt battery on my bike would that engage the ecu by itself without the diode
1234 1234 yes it will , but what’s going to happen is that the 9v battery is going to lose power by use it for a long period of time .
