Going to brew this one love the old school IPAs. Thanks mate.
old skool ... im sold cheers mate
Great video...i'll give this one a go. :)
I find Chat GPT to be a useful tool for refining recipes to spice them up, etc. I still like writing my own, but if I get stuck it’s a great tool to have without having to go to homebrew forums or Reddit and getting downvoted and yelled at 😂
Cheers, looks great!
That's a great idea! hahaha Cheers!
Nice paddle, I was lucky enough to get one from Matt for Christmas as well…it’s getting mounted on the wall at the shop.
I also find myself craving old school IPAs so might need to give this one a shot.
Oh nice! I'll have to try and get to Lismore one day, Cheers!
I asked chat gpt to find 5 award winning five gallon Amber Ales and based on those five award-winning beers create a unique beer that possibly could also be an award winner.
I was impressed how fast it found 5 and made 1 that was slightly different. Now I need to just follow thru and brew the recipe...Chris
Awesome 👍
That is a sensational looking beer Gash. You’ve been slowly convincing me to go down the plate chiller route. I’ve got my eye on the kegland one… do you have any advice or tips on what I should be looking for? Thanks as usual for all the help and great content!
They take getting use to but they are a ripper. I'm soon to release a video on a good chiller, but its a counterflow, hopefully in the next week or so. Cheers!
You dont oxygen the wort before pitching the yeast? Nice video my friend!
Exactly my thoughts 👍🍺
Not with dry yeast no. Cheers!
Not with dry yeast no. Cheers!
@@HomeBrewNetwork interesting! thanks you!
@@dontfollowthebunny its just not needed or of any benefit to modern dry yeast, Cheers!
Cheers Gash sounds noice!
Cheers Stass nothing crazy but drinkable lol
What salts do you use ? Im loooking at using ro water
I am new to brewing, and am trying to recreate a spotted cow clone. It will be my first partial mash, and I know once you finish the infusion in the strike water, and then pour it into the kettle for boil. But, if I plan on downscaling the recipe, do I just divide everything by half grains wise? And would I still boil the same amount of time, as well as mash?
Was wondering if you dumped the cold break before pitching the yeast? Cool experiment. Will you be doing it again? 🥂
Didn't bother with this one, but yes is an option for sure, might help with clarity, Cheers
"Don't run your pump while you're boiling" but how else are you gonna get that pump sanitized?
You don't need boiling temps to sanitise. I would also hope that everything had been cleaned and prepared for use before brewing. Cheers!
HI ya! - do you have any videos on using that Nano fermenter?
Yes, umm, It would show in a few videos, there isnt much to show though its just a fermenter. I do use a lot of different fittings on it, but most are explained in the unboxing video. Cheers
@@HomeBrewNetwork cool thanks, I watched the unboxing video and just wondered if you had any final thoughts on it compared with others like the brewbuilt
@@andrewlambert9946 The brewbuilt is much better finished and seals easy.. unfortunately brewbuilt wins by a mile, I sold my brewbuilt because I was getting these and I regret it everyday.. I've just received the new model brewbuilt and can't wait to try it, the X1 was great. This one i need to unbox this week hopefully www.kegland.com.au/products/26l-brewbuilt-x2-jacketed-stainless-steel-conical-unitank-fermenter?sca_ref=3981103.tEyKVMKmq5
@@HomeBrewNetwork Thanks for your comments, The X2 does look good, I have been watching a few videos on them.
the Nano - they will ship to NZ direct, No one currently stocks brewbuilt here, But seeing as they are avail at kegland, It should not be too hard to get one to NZ
@@andrewlambert9946 I get stuff shipped from more beer to here, they make the brewbuilt, but not sure is postage for that would be the killer
what prompts did you give ChatGTP to create this recipe?
ua-cam.com/video/goDUgPy42L8/v-deo.html
What temp are you sanitising your plate chiller with and how long?
I go overkill, it really doesn't take much, I throw it in about 200c for an hour, but if you look up times and temps for killing things it's nowhere near that long or hot. Cheers
@@HomeBrewNetwork 200c! are you putting in the oven? I thought you just running water through it?
@@Themadvikingbrewing Usually use the oven yes, if you want to use water or something, I'll do it about 90c Cheers!
What's your brewhouse efficiency with the Gen4?
varies from 72-76% but that number doesnt mean anything really... Brewhouse eff% takes in what fermenter you use, what chiller you use, so it really isnt a number you should compare to others at all. Cheers!
@@HomeBrewNetwork yeah, really meant mash efficiency. But seems you're happy with it overall.
@@emomoney Mash eff% is usually 80-82, about the same as most systems
Good vid. What grain mill do you use in it?
That would be the Maltzilla. bit.ly/MaltzillaKL Cheers!
@@HomeBrewNetwork Cool have you done a video on the Maltzilla?. I am unsure about the unit due to mixed reviews.
@@Dazzle2257 No I havent, I do prefer to use my 3 roller, but each time I go to my maltzilla for ease of use and settings. I'm lazy. Cheers! My first Maltzilla wasnt good, but it was in the first batch of them, they have improved them since, they arent perfect but they work!
Do you really want to live in a future that came about from the folly of you interacting with ai? Feeding the beast bro. Feeding the beast. cheers Gash.
We live in a time where mediocre "brewers" just toss in tons of hops in the whirlpool and call it craft. As gash said many miss the mid-boil additions and thus most of them come short and lack depth.
Victor Ai has been here for years and years, decades, everything from Siri to chat bots, just having some fun mate!
@@HomeBrewNetwork No worries mate. I see a time in the future that could be a lot like the terminator movies. The futurised part of them anyway.
It's only a matter of time till the machines take over and I hate that. cheers.
Something tells me there won’t be an AI uprising from a homebrewer asking for a beer recipe
Hey mate, just out of curiosity as you've used both, if you could only buy one, do you prefer the Cheeky Peak or the Brewbuilt fermenters?
