She sounded 1000% better than that first concert (livestream), which I thought she did well but this was far better. This concert was magic to watch. She was amazing. By mid-tour she'll sit better with the old songs. I'm not concerned about that too much, I'm much more interested in how she sounds with the new stuff, the songs that were written for her voice (the new album). But yeah, this over 2hr concert, Emily's performance was incredible. "My December" sounded so beautiful with her voice. And I'm glad you you care more about the music than the controversy.
That's a horrible perspective. We're all humans. More than anything, Chester's legacy was about how challenging that human experience can be. That is literally the basis for the music. Emily is a shitty human... literally the antithesis of the message in the music.

I was there too. Really cool to hear another soul's perspective. I miss Chester, we all miss Chester. It still hurts that we can't see him live anymore but... we're humans, we're resilient and adaptable. We move forward and stay focused on the path. Likewise, I expect Linkin Park to evolve, grow, and move forward as well. Never forget, but always evolving. The show was amazing, and I sang my fucking heart out. Love all you guys.
Seen them 3 times ( 2004 Lisbon and 2014 and 2017 in London. I will see them in London next week too. last time in 2017 I met them backstage at the O2 in the LPU meet and great and got my HT signed by everyone . (Been LPU since 2003 and fan since end of 2000.) Watching this band live is just an electrifying, powerful, emotional and happy experience. Only feel this with LP.
I never got to see the band live either and I’ve been listening to them since 2005. Look up the band Hybrid Theory. They are a very good tribute band. The singer sounds just like Chester. Still, I love the direction the band is going in, I love the new song and I can’t wait to hear the new album. I would’ve loved to see them in NYC (tomorrow), but I couldn’t make it this time around. Crossing my fingers they are closer to me next year🤞
I’m very fortunate to have seen them at least 5 times beforehand! And like you I wasn’t sure about the expensive ticket, but didn’t want to miss this opportunity, so I paid. Absolutely no regrets! It was amazing! Totally teared up at Waiting for the End. I’m glad Brad is still apart of the music, but I definitely missed him. Can’t wait for the new album!
Yes, Waiting For the End always gets me! But hearing it in another voice, that is not Chester's is less heartbreaking, sad, but at least I don't wanna cry as much as when i hear it sang by him :"(((

Nice video!! i was fortunate enough to see Chester live in 2017 i belive (could be late 2016). I was 20 and a fan since forever and they came to my city (live in Brazil) and of course i went, and it was without any doubt the best show a have ever went to BY FAR, but i'm loving Emily and i'm very excited for this new album and the future of the band

My first ever international concert was Linkin Park in 2012, I was only 14 at the time. Still one of the, if not the absolute best day of my life. I will cherish that memory forever. But just know that every tour is unique, and while you may feel jealous for not having seen them live with Chester, know that I am super jealous of not being able to see them live now with Emily! I have been fortunate to know someone who has gotten me access to many many LP shows. I was not able to make it to LA but I did see a full live stream of it. Although Chester and Emily are different, the energy, vibe, and feel of the show was spot on. Chester is a one of a kind singer but he even had off nights at shows. I heard his voice crack or that he sounded tired. Emily was so much stronger then the live stream which you could tell she was super nervous as anyone would be.
I’m so happy I came across your video diary of seeing LP on 9/11. I relate so much to your feelings about the band. I, too am jealous of those who experienced Chester live. But I’m happy to know that their shows have been so well received. I feel I’ve seen more people enjoy them that have gone to these shows so far compared to people that haven’t and are just criticizing online. queens of the stone age had vocal changes over the years too. there's always some people who prefer to get stuck in the past and ignore that the train is moving forward. everyones allowed to not go to the shows anymore and only listen to old stuff. I went to a lot of festivals and so was always able to see LP over the years. but never been to their solo shows. though with emily I think I might go , even tho I hate big concerts. their arena stage looks so cool, if they build such a stage in every city next year, I will definately go if its not too overpized. I saw mikes twitch streams during covid. I felt really sorry for him cause he was trying to hard to continue music but it seemed like he didnt know what to do. emily is the best that could happen to LP, she will evolve LP into new heights.
I’ve seen them live twice (London and Amsterdam). Both great experiences. From what I’ve seen of the live show at the Kia Forum, I can tell that the energy is still very much Linkin Park. I’m a bit bummed I can’t see them on this small comeback tour, but I will get tickets for a show of their world tour next year, of that I have no doubt. High hopes for the new album and the full tour of this new evolution of the band.
So so happy for them, very excited to see what the future holds. I also did see them once with Chester luckily, at Download 2014/15 they played Hybrid Theory in it's entirety!

Happy to see videos like these. I had the privilege of seeing Linkin Park back in 2014 at the Hollywood Bowl. It was amazing. Probably of the happiest days of my life. Chester truly was a legend and I'm glad I was able to have that experience at least once. Fastforward to this year, it's kind of crazy that I met Mike back in January, then got lucky and got an entry to the Secret show and THEN I saw them at the Kia Forum... what a time to be alive!!!
I saw them three times from 2003 to 2007, and they put on a HELL of a show. I WISH I could have made this show (live just 2 hours away in San Diego, but too short notice to make it happen!) I'm SO glad you and all the other fans that have never been able to see them before got to experience it! I'll be camping out the lines for the 2025 shows!
You're lucky you saw them! LP is THE BEST. I saw them live three times, yes, with Chester. The first time was the Meteoria tour at the Forum! They were fantastic and, yeah, Chester live was transcendent. The one celebrity death that truly truly affected me. But I'm definitely liking their new direction. Thanks for this review. As much as I love songs from One more Light, and I think Emily would kill it on Heavy. I can't that song breaks a part of me. November 15th is the day we get the new album. I'm ready to hear it.
I think the only time i recall seeing them in concert was in a lineup with Deftones, Limp Bizkit, mudvayne, and Metallica as the headliner. It was a fantastic show!
Emily is a true STAR in her own right, her work with "Dead Sara" is superb, well deserved recognition. 🌟 I agree, not fair to compare. ✌🏽 I don't care for the moronic gossip, (it's great publicity either way), her personal life quests or ex-boyfriends are her private life. 13:55 One More Light is an emotional Linkin Park record for so many reasons. But Emily Armstrong is nailing the acoustic and piano versions of Linkin Park songs. Lost and My December sounded breathtaking. This is why when the band decides to finally incorporate One More Light songs, they will nail it. And Emily brings out the emotional aspects of the songs so well. I will be a wreck for sure.
I saw them live in 2015, I think. I've of the best shows I've seen. I had tickets to see them again a couple weeks before we lost Bennington. I love the new song though, really looking forward to the new album. A very special band and on thrilled their continuing.

On the 12th (LPU tickets, got one of these) resale prices at stubhub were already expensive but now they almost doubled again. Currently 250 EUR for a standing ticket (instead of about 90) and 160 for 160 for upper tier. Lower tier now really expensive, ugh...
Someone already commented this but only 1 person.. well.. obviously not chester but rob left in 2017 so he's really the only person that actually left. Brad has a statement that he's still fully in the band just not touring right now and i guess he's with them but not performing because mike literally said in this video that he's in the house.
Algorithm landed me here and I'm subbed. It's awkward when Emily performs the older music but I'm getting used to it, and looking forward to checking out their new music when it comes out so I can adjust to Emily being the co-vocalist with Mike instead of Chester. I think that their personal lives should be their own and just want to remind people about what happens if you leave scientology. They cut you off from your family, friends, children. The likelihood of Emily speaking out is low -- it can also be dangerous. It's ultimately about the music in the end.
Cool vid/reaction. A shame you missed gradson. He is phenomenal. Definitely one of my top 5 artists. I honestly didn’t like the live reveal stream (except for the new song/opener). I think Emily was very nervous and was just not hitting a lot of the notes. I’ve watched a lot of videos of the LA show and she is really growing on me. It will always be different of course w/o Chester but she is worthy and we get to experience a version of LP again which I am very grateful for. I’m really forward to the new album! Having seen LP live in concert 5 times with Chester in the band, I was super emotional watching that live stream from the warehouse. I cried for the times I had seen them live, I cried because they were back, I am not sure how I feel about a female lead, so dont know if I will go see another live show anytime soon. Glad you managed to get tickets at a great price, I was very fortunate to win tickets from Kerrang magazine and see their first ever UK show at Kings College, I met the band after at a signing session, Chester was so playful and funny to be with, obviously like you I was hit hard by his death, Mike’s post traumatic album really helped me get through it and the passing of my Dad, I will always support him and whatever the rest of the band members want to do, I’m seeing this new incarnation of LP I next week at London’s 02 Arena, I can’t wait ❤️
Saw LP live in Portland, OR with my then gf now wife of 20 years. They trigger such deep emotions for me even writing this now. F Love them so much So glad they’re back doing what they love most. Touching lives.
I missed a chance to see them live when they were in/around New Orleans, though I don't remember what year it was. I love that they're back, and I think Emily is great.
I think Emily is the perfect match for the Band, even though i was like "hmm can this work with a female voice" oh hell yes it can! I also think her and Mike's voice just harmonize so well together. And she got that 80's rock chick in her voice which i love, on top she can scream very well. I watched recordings of both the live stream and the whole LA show and i must say you see how nervous she is and who can blame her? I mean this is this one time in her life opportunity and i think she is crushing it. I also think she made great progress between those two shows, i think after this first tour she will be perfect. And for all those saying she doesn't hit every note like Chester did... i was at 3 Linkin Park concerts.. Chester didn't hit every note. But Chester had this special something about him and his voice and i feel Emily got it too but in a different way. But to sum it up, i think Emily is not the choice for everybody, but give her a fair chance and don't compare her with Chester. There is a reason the Album is called from Zero. This is not the replacing of Chester in my eyes, this is a new start to further the stories of Linkin Park.
I'm a huge LP's fan from Russia. I was heartbroken in 2017 and since then, unconsciously quit listening to their music, it was just painful every time. And I cried my eyes out when I saw them back - I loved the song and Emily so much. I feel that she's the right choice, that she's a fan too. I envy you, in a good way! A part of me is glad that I won't see the concert 'cause my heart would've stopped right there😀

Also, a few things I didn't mention in the video: - It was the first time they performed My December since 2008 (according to the internet), wow. I definitely didn't expect this one - Friendly Fire was also performed for the first time, and it's technically from OML, so they did play SOMETHING from that album, just not the official track list - Leave Out All the Rest was shaky, mostly sang by Mike - i appreciated that they played it, as i LOVE this song, and the crowd sang really loudly, but Mike was kinda off-key and Emily was pacing around for the entirety of song, which was distracting. Harmonies were weird as well - I confused Battle Symphony with Nobody Can Save Me, LMAO, that's what my bf was singing at 05:14 - I do feel conflicted about the whole drama with Emily, as I'm pretty familiar with the whole scientology craziness (i've seen Leah Remini documentary), but i just think that time has to pass and show what's true. Veing born in it and choosing to join as an adult are two very different things, that's why i take it with a grain of salt. We, public, don't know ANYTHING, we can just speculate. - i forgot to say most important thing - there's a lot of haters online and people who don't want to accept LP without Chester, well they can just...NOT ENGAGE and keep revisiting old work? Who needs their opinions. Just a whiny annoying bunch, I swear. With every album, there's people who hate on their new stuff and evolution. I've seen Linkin Park 2 times... the last time was Jan, 18th, 2015. It was when Chester broke his leg playing basket ball. After the show he had to go have surgery. We were in the 2nd row. I loved every minute. Wish I could add some pics for you.

She isn't trying to erase anything that Chester did (like his son Jamie says... that kid needs some professional help) and she gives respect to Chester's parts while making those parts her own. She was supporting her friend because in America "innocent until proven guilty in a court of law" and once that guilty verdict came down she hasn't spoken to him since. My first time listened linkin park song at the age of 13 and now I am 36. The reason I love linkin park is due to Mike voice doing rap and the music sound itself is so genius, and slowly i love Chester. Chester was improving day bt day. When Chester took his own life i can't digest what he was thinking... To me taking your own life is like too much. I just don't like the idea of Chester taking his own live. Not like he can't eat at all. When u are thinking to do stupid thing, Look at so many poor kids on the street who can't eat... By the way forget about Chester,, I love liking park music and I just love how MIKE manage to get everyone to bring new soul to linkin park music... I just love linkin park music and I love Mike.

Tickets are stupid expensive. I was very fortunate to see Linkin park four times during project revolution I paid 150 Dollars for the festival great seats along with other favorite bands, My Chemical Romance placebo Mindless Self Indulgence Chris Cornell The bravery, pretty awesome shows .
I would have gotten crazy anxiety arriving at sundown. I was there like 2 hours early lol. Also, protip, parking's like $40 when you buy it ahead if time.

But if i was on a dance floor, I’d come as early as possible:)) Yeah, I hoped it’d be around 50$ (didn’t check beforehand) upon arrival, but even that’s too much, thank god the area had plenty of free parking further 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I don't think friendly fire was on that album. I was told that they were purposely going to skip singing songs from One More Light at that show. The song Friendly Fire is on their greatest hits album "Papercuts"
Well, it's not 50% of the members are missing. They were 6 long lasting members. 2 of them are not part anymore: Chester and Rob, remaining 4. I don't know exactly the percentage, 60%+ something, but it felt kind of sad hearing you said 50% because it seemed too much. You also cut Brad from the image, which is not the case. Anyway, I'm glad for the band and looking forward for the new chapter.
My thoughts why they don't play any of the newer songs is because of the rights of those songs also belonging to Chester and now the family of Chester. They might not have given the permission to perform those songs. I have no evidence to support this, but this seems logical to me.

My first ever international concert was Linkin Park in 2012, I was only 14 at the time. Still one of the, if not the absolute best day of my life. I will cherish that memory forever. But just know that every tour is unique, and while you may feel jealous for not having seen them live with Chester, know that I am super jealous of not being able to see them live now with Emily! I have been fortunate to know someone who has gotten me access to many many LP shows. I was not able to make it to LA but I did see a full live stream of it. Although Chester and Emily are different, the energy, vibe, and feel of the show was spot on. Chester is a one of a kind singer but he even had off nights at shows. I heard his voice crack or that he sounded tired. Emily was so much stronger then the live stream which you could tell she was super nervous as anyone would be.
I’m so happy I came across your video diary of seeing LP on 9/11. I relate so much to your feelings about the band. I, too am jealous of those who experienced Chester live. But I’m happy to know that their shows have been so well received. I feel I’ve seen more people enjoy them that have gone to these shows so far compared to people that haven’t and are just criticizing online. This is a special band and I’m stoked to hear the new album! Nov. 15th can’t come fast enough it seems! LP fans unite 🤘🏻🫶🏻

queens of the stone age had vocal changes over the years too. there's always some people who prefer to get stuck in the past and ignore that the train is moving forward. everyones allowed to not go to the shows anymore and only listen to old stuff. I went to a lot of festivals and so was always able to see LP over the years. but never been to their solo shows. though with emily I think I might go , even tho I hate big concerts. their arena stage looks so cool, if they build such a stage in every city next year, I will definately go if its not too overpized. I saw mikes twitch streams during covid. I felt really sorry for him cause he was trying to hard to continue music but it seemed like he didnt know what to do. emily is the best that could happen to LP, she will evolve LP into new heights.

I’ve seen them live twice (London and Amsterdam). Both great experiences. From what I’ve seen of the live show at the Kia Forum, I can tell that the energy is still very much Linkin Park. I’m a bit bummed I can’t see them on this small comeback tour, but I will get tickets for a show of their world tour next year, of that I have no doubt. High hopes for the new album and the full tour of this new evolution of the band.
So so happy for them, very excited to see what the future holds. I also did see them once with Chester luckily, at Download 2014/15 they played Hybrid Theory in it's entirety!

Happy to see videos like these. I had the privilege of seeing Linkin Park back in 2014 at the Hollywood Bowl. It was amazing. Probably of the happiest days of my life. Chester truly was a legend and I'm glad I was able to have that experience at least once. Fastforward to this year, it's kind of crazy that I met Mike back in January, then got lucky and got an entry to the Secret show and THEN I saw them at the Kia Forum... what a time to be alive!!!
I saw them three times from 2003 to 2007, and they put on a HELL of a show. I WISH I could have made this show (live just 2 hours away in San Diego, but too short notice to make it happen!) I'm SO glad you and all the other fans that have never been able to see them before got to experience it! I'll be camping out the lines for the 2025 shows!
You're lucky you saw them! LP is THE BEST. I saw them live three times, yes, with Chester. The first time was the Meteoria tour at the Forum! They were fantastic and, yeah, Chester live was transcendent. The one celebrity death that truly truly affected me. But I'm definitely liking their new direction. Thanks for this review. I had thought about going but just couldn't make it happen.

As much as I love songs from One more Light, and I think Emily would kill it on Heavy. I can't that song breaks a part of me. November 15th is the day we get the new album. I'm ready to hear it.
I think the only time i recall seeing them in concert was in a lineup with Deftones, Limp Bizkit, mudvayne, and Metallica as the headliner. It was a fantastic show!

13:55 One More Light is an emotional Linkin Park record for so many reasons. But Emily Armstrong is nailing the acoustic and piano versions of Linkin Park songs. Lost and My December sounded breathtaking. This is why when the band decides to finally incorporate One More Light songs, they will nail it. And Emily brings out the emotional aspects of the songs so well. I will be a wreck for sure.
I saw them live in 2015, I think. I've of the best shows I've seen. I had tickets to see them again a couple weeks before we lost Bennington. I love the new song though, really looking forward to the new album. A very special band and on thrilled their continuing.
I saw them in 2008 when they came to my city. It was amazing. I bought a recording of the concert from LP and I listen to it every now and then.

On the 12th (LPU tickets, got one of these) resale prices at stubhub were already expensive but now they almost doubled again. Currently 250 EUR for a standing ticket (instead of about 90) and 160 for 160 for upper tier. Lower tier now really expensive, ugh...
I've seen Linkin Park 4 times. 2003, 2004, 2008 and 2012. Chester is a different beast live.

Someone already commented this but only 1 person.. well.. obviously not chester but rob left in 2017 so he's really the only person that actually left. Brad has a statement that he's still fully in the band just not touring right now and i guess he's with them but not performing because mike literally said in this video that he's in the house.

Algorithm landed me here and I'm subbed. It's awkward when Emily performs the older music but I'm getting used to it, and looking forward to checking out their new music when it comes out so I can adjust to Emily being the co-vocalist with Mike instead of Chester. I think that their personal lives should be their own and just want to remind people about what happens if you leave scientology. They cut you off from your family, friends, children. The likelihood of Emily speaking out is low -- it can also be dangerous. It's ultimately about the music in the end.

Cool vid/reaction. A shame you missed gradson. He is phenomenal. Definitely one of my top 5 artists. I honestly didn’t like the live reveal stream (except for the new song/opener). I think Emily was very nervous and was just not hitting a lot of the notes. I’ve watched a lot of videos of the LA show and she is really growing on me. It will always be different of course w/o Chester but she is worthy and we get to experience a version of LP again which I am very grateful for. I’m really forward to the new album! This new era with Emily is going to be awesome. A few more days before I see them in Hamburg!

Having seen LP live in concert 5 times with Chester in the band, I was super emotional watching that live stream from the warehouse. I cried for the times I had seen them live, I cried because they were back, I am not sure how I feel about a female lead, so dont know if I will go see another live show anytime soon. Glad you managed to get tickets at a great price, I was very fortunate to win tickets from Kerrang magazine and see their first ever UK show at Kings College, I met the band after at a signing session, Chester was so playful and funny to be with, obviously like you I was hit hard by his death, Mike’s post traumatic album really helped me get through it and the passing of my Dad, I will always support him and whatever the rest of the band members want to do, I’m seeing this new incarnation of LP I next week at London’s 02 Arena, I can’t wait ❤️

Saw LP twice with Chester, they were OUTSTANDING! Jay Z actually came out and did Numb Encore with them at one of the concerts.
I missed a chance to see them live when they were in/around New Orleans, though I don't remember what year it was. I love that they're back, and I think Emily is great.
I think Emily is the perfect match for the Band, even though i was like "hmm can this work with a female voice" oh hell yes it can! I also think her and Mike's voice just harmonize so well together. And she got that 80's rock chick in her voice which i love, on top she can scream very well. I watched recordings of both the live stream and the whole LA show and i must say you see how nervous she is and who can blame her? I mean this is this one time in her life opportunity and i think she is crushing it. I also think she made great progress between those two shows, i think after this first tour she will be perfect. And for all those saying she doesn't hit every note like Chester did... i was at 3 Linkin Park concerts.. Chester didn't hit every note. But Chester had this special something about him and his voice and i feel Emily got it too but in a different way. But to sum it up, i think Emily is not the choice for everybody, but give her a fair chance and don't compare her with Chester. There is a reason the Album is called from Zero. This is not the replacing of Chester in my eyes, this is a new start to further the stories of Linkin Park.
No one can replace chester, it's just that Emily has arrived. different people, same hype.
I'm a huge LP's fan from Russia. I was heartbroken in 2017 and since then, unconsciously quit listening to their music, it was just painful every time.
And I cried my eyes out when I saw them back - I loved the song and Emily so much. I feel that she's the right choice, that she's a fan too. I envy you, in a good way! A part of me is glad that I won't see the concert 'cause my heart would've stopped right there😀

Also, a few things I didn't mention in the video:
- It was the first time they performed My December since 2008 (according to the internet), wow. I definitely didn't expect this one
- Friendly Fire was also performed for the first time, and it's technically from OML, so they did play SOMETHING from that album, just not the official track list
- Leave Out All the Rest was shaky, mostly sang by Mike - i appreciated that they played it, as i LOVE this song, and the crowd sang really loudly, but Mike was kinda off-key and Emily was pacing around for the entirety of song, which was distracting. Harmonies were weird as well
- I confused Battle Symphony with Nobody Can Save Me, LMAO, that's what my bf was singing at 05:14
- I do feel conflicted about the whole drama with Emily, as I'm pretty familiar with the whole scientology craziness (i've seen Leah Remini documentary), but i just think that time has to pass and show what's true. Veing born in it and choosing to join as an adult are two very different things, that's why i take it with a grain of salt. We, public, don't know ANYTHING, we can just speculate.
- i forgot to say most important thing - there's a lot of haters online and people who don't want to accept LP without Chester, well they can just...NOT ENGAGE and keep revisiting old work? Who needs their opinions. Just a whiny annoying bunch, I swear. With every album, there's people who hate on their new stuff and evolution. Touch grass, and if you don't like it so much, you have a choice and NOT LISTEN TO IT, lol :))

I've seen Linkin Park 2 times... the last time was Jan, 18th, 2015. It was when Chester broke his leg playing basket ball. After the show he had to go have surgery. We were in the 2nd row. I loved every minute. Wish I could add some pics for you.

She isn't trying to erase anything that Chester did (like his son Jamie says... that kid needs some professional help) and she gives respect to Chester's parts while making those parts her own. Not to mention as far as the drama is concerned... well fuck the haters. She was supporting her friend because in America "innocent until proven guilty in a court of law" and once that guilty verdict came down she hasn't spoken to him since. With the church, yeah she was born in to that. She's LGBTQ+ which that church doesn't allow at all so obviously she's not to wrapped up in that shit. My first time listened linkin park song at the age of 13 and now I am 36. The reason I love linkin park is due to Mike voice doing rap and the music sound itself is so genius, and slowly i love Chester. Chester was improving day bt day.
When Chester took his own life i can't digest what he was thinking... To me taking your own life is like too much. I just don't like the idea of Chester taking his own live. Tickets are stupid expensive. I was very fortunate to see Linkin park four times during project revolution I paid 150 Dollars for the festival great seats along with other favorite bands, My Chemical Romance placebo Mindless Self Indulgence Chris Cornell The bravery, pretty awesome shows .
I would have gotten crazy anxiety arriving at sundown. I was there like 2 hours early lol. Also, protip, parking's like $40 when you buy it ahead if time.

I don't think friendly fire was on that album. I was told that they were purposely going to skip singing songs from One More Light at that show. The song Friendly Fire is on their greatest hits album "Papercuts"

Well, it's not 50% of the members are missing. They were 6 long lasting members. 2 of them are not part anymore: Chester and Rob, remaining 4. I don't know exactly the percentage, 60%+ something, but it felt kind of sad hearing you said 50% because it seemed too much. You also cut Brad from the image, which is not the case. Anyway, I'm glad for the band and looking forward for the new chapter.

My thoughts why they don't play any of the newer songs is because of the rights of those songs also belonging to Chester and now the family of Chester. They might not have given the permission to perform those songs. I have no evidence to support this, but this seems logical to me.
