Favourite LP album? It's tough choice for me either Meteora or Minutes to Midnight. This video was a labor of love. I hadn't listened to Linkin Park in quite some years but it was great to go back and revisit those songs I listened to as a kid.
I met Chester Bennington in 2014 when he did a design collaboration with Porsche, at that point I was a fan for 12 years… let me tell you, my knees were buckling because he was so influential on me. I have zero problems admitting this as a grown man. LP forever. RIP Chester.
Amen. I have the largest displate I could get of Chester screaming into the microphone in watercolor/oil style. Chester was such a beautiful soul, its heartbreaking to know how much pain he was in, and I don't think he knew or believed just how impactful he has been for so many people. Why does it seem like the best and most kinf people among us are the most tortured souls....
I don't care what people say , but when no one was there for me, LP's music was there, in every emotion no matter what and I am sure there are many people like me all over the world. Sadly one was able to save millions but millions wasn't able to save one person. RIP king.
I was going to say something similar. These guys have saved my life more than once. And like you said they've probably done it for millions of us. It still chokes me up when I hear their music and think, "This guy saved us and we couldn't save him 😢" So yeah your comment was exactly what I have been feeling basically.
Hybrid theory was one of the very few albums where I think most of us can agree there was not a bad song. Truly an incredible talent and a big loss for some many reasons. Your voice is still heard by millions of people. Thank you.
I’m indifferent , I cherish every album they ever made include reanimation and as a full grown man admit that their music did save me and I will forever be grateful to this band ❤
Absolutely grew up with Linkin Park I was in 4th grade when hybrid theory came out I'll tell you what songs I did skip tho was that bullshit with Jay z skipped the whole album
@@MrBenMcLean somewhat ignored album, never understood that, since i think its by far their most creative and fine tuned album, so many details and love in this one
As a Linkin Park fan of over 20 years, I'm really grateful for this video. They have always been my heroes, not only for the music, their incredible work ethic and live performances, but also for the relation with their fans. No matter how big they got, they did everything to be as accessible as possible. I've had the pleasure of meeting them two times (Mike three times) and they were super sweet, funny and humble - Chester even remembered me the second time and he said "Thank you so much for coming again, oh my God!" while bouncing in his seat, like he couldn't believe I was there to see them again. Then he took my hand between both of his and looked me in the eyes and said again, this time, quietly "Really, thank you". I could tell when looking into those dark, intense eyes, that he was genuinely grateful. He was such a unique and beautiful soul, and I'm grateful that he shared so much of it with the world.
you are soo lucky. i only got to there concert back in 2007 and it was the best time of my life even tho i didnt see the band backstage but yeah. i when only once tho.
I'm not really a fan of Linkin Park but that's a really beautiful experience you had with him. I really appreciate comments like this that help convey what the person was like on a personal level. Thank you for sharing it 🙏 edit: Linkin not Lincoln 😔 lol
Met them at their meet & greets twice. Unfortunately we were all kind of rushed along. I did get them to sign their albums and I told Chester. “I love your voice, you are amazing!” He was very humble and thanked me repeatedly. I gave them a CD of a local band to listen to… I wonder if they ever did. I have seen them more than any other band I think seven or eight times. Which says a lot considering they weren’t around that long. I truly love their music.
I didn't know him or anything but I was fortunate enough to meet Chester back in like 2002 or 2003 at a Projekt Revolution concert. The dude hung out with fans like he was just a regular person. I was interested in their production quality and he was telling me some of their processes. He was the nicest guy and seemed genuinely happy to be hanging out with his fans.
Um sorry but I had an encounter with him at a gun show in Phoenix, AZ... he was a complete dick.. no one was actually paying any attention to him but a couple of people did say hi and he was rude and made snide remarks.. people weren't even asking for pics or autographs..
@galaxy For starters he said they played all instruments individually through ProTools at the time. He said once they compressed their tracks to WAV files they actually lost sound quality. I doubt I'll do a video though.
Depression and those dark thoughts are something that people might battle with every day. It only takes 1 loss in those battles to lose something precious.
In those moments, like I imagine Chester had during his last day, all it takes is a little pull to bring you back but unfortunately he was alone despite all his work and intentions. This obviously wasn't something he wanted, depression was an illness he struggled with. Mike, for that reason, said after Chesters passing to not say "he committed suicide" but he "died to suicide".
As a man you aren't allowed to have feelings and weaknesses. I am dealing with depression for 18 years now, being 30 years old atm. - I looked for help, but as a man I simply can't have depression. And since I know wtf is wrong - just can't help myself - I am only making things up. 'Cause I can't do a doctor's or psychologist's job in diagnosing myself, knowing wtf my issues are, what the symptoms are and where they come from.
@@dezpotizmOFheaven youre 100% allowed to feel that way. I completely understand what youre going through. Youre a human being ffs. We're allowed to feel how we feel and if anyone looks down on us then fvck them, straight up. Id rather be honest to the man in the mirror than put ona show for anyone. Youre strong enough to say something about how you feel in your soul and thats beautiful. Be kind to yourself and remember, you are loved. Stay strong brother and know youre not alone. Depression, untreated, creeps up in your dreams for about 4 nights. They get stronger per night until you feel the suicidal feelings during your days. I've spoken to a Las vegas, Nevada psychiatrist about this, and he asked me to write out the details, including the creeping feelings and dreams and their intensity through the nights. He took my document to the American Board of Psychiatry. I've had to give interviews. Suicide is NOT planned. The American Board of Psychiatry is discovering that certain genetic DNAs/ethnicities carry the predisposition toward S.A.D. until Suicide. For more information, please seek the NAMI, and the American Board of Psychiatry and the National Suicide Hotline. Thank you so very much for reading this information. Blessings to you.❤
Linkin Park's music helped me process my feelings during the most stressful events in my life. Chester's death ripped the scab off a lot of hurts that I've since healed. I still tear up whenever I hear his voice though.
I remember seeing “one step closer” on MTV early in the morning while getting ready for elementary school. Linkin Park became a huge part of my life since that day. Chester passing was a huge hit and made me reflect on the things that band helped me through. I’m so grateful for them. Miss you Chester 🙏
i dont think ive ever felt so connected to music like chester made me feel. he said so much in his words i could never form in my own head. i dont think ive ever cared about any deaths, but that one, i felt that one.
I hated it so much when people dissed LP for changing up their sound... that is the whole point of music, it is art and it evolves constantly. LP got me through so many of the toughest times in my life and still do, with songs from every single album resonating with me in some way. I was so blessed to have met them in 2010, they are honestly the most down to earth celebrities i have ever met and having them genuinely thank all of us for taking time out of our lives to go and see them was beautiful, especially when so many of us had travelled as far as we did. It's such a shame we will never get to see them perform again and hear Chester's amazing vocals but the concerts i was able to attend will always be so close to me. RIP Chester, you were an amazing human.
ashamed to say but i was one of the people that really didnt like the new album at first but after a while i listened to it again and i was like wtf why did i not like this before lol feel like some albums you just need some time to like absorb it all
@@MrAchsas Don't have to be ashamed for not liking everything someone produces... just don't go out of your way to spread hate. I like their earlier stuff more, but they still have some awesome songs on all their albums. The evolution of their sound should be welcomed. If everything sounded the same it would get old, but not everyone will like what it turns into either. Regardless still one of the best bands of our time.... but no one will top Tool :)
@@MrAchsas I always looked at it that I was not ready for the songs at that time. But times got hard some newer stuff resonated with me more than the oldies❤
It just sounded like shit. It was a rushed?radio 3:00 timing that needed another 2 minutes, plus. It sounded like shit. You cant have some sort of muted fade in and then the drums sound like a snare inside a small bathroom. I... it just sounds lke shit.
It's been almost 6 years, but it's only now that I've been able to return to Linkin Park's music, because up to now it hurt too much. I can only imagine the depth of the grief of those close to him, and I can only imagine what Chester himself was going through. Being a survivor of major depression, that is one thing I can understand, and something I would not wish for anyone... Thank you for making this video, it's amazing what the band has achieved and I truly hope that they will find their way forward.
This group did so much for me, when I think about art shaping my life, books are generally the first thing to come to mind but in truth I wouldn't be on a path of healing today without "somewhere I belong". I'm still listening to LP music, still discovering new gems and their music will most likely be with me until the end. Thank you guys, and I hope you (Chester) found peace at long last. ❤❤❤
More like Flash in a Pan. Their album dropped further and further with every release for a reason and only went up because that retard chose the coward's way out of life.
Linkin Park helped me through alot when I was young and throughout my life. I am usually unaffected by celebrity deaths meaning it makes me sad but not impacting my life much until hearing the loss of Chester, it still breaks my heart to this day and I can't listen to certain songs without getting emotional to this day because of how much i relate to it so much but also because I just miss Chester so much, linkin park is and never will be the same without him😢
You never get over being abused by someone. You get through it, but it always stays with you. Thankfully, I have never turned to drugs or alcohol. But I could see how someone can! May you now be at peace, Chester. 🌟☮️
.just focus on yourself. Nobody's even ready to have kids, but you still have a choice. Be careful, especially in this modern era with people airing their dirty laundry, then use kids as an advantage. Truly sad.
exactly, that could have changed his outcome, being able to funnel the pain through music, when in art school, a professor urged me to do just that, and i am a better person for it.
LP was definitely part of my childhood, I remember getting Hybrid Theory and I would sit outside for hours just vibing with my CD Player I did that everyday for awhile.
I could never pick a favorite LP album. They all have amazing tracks and not one album has a song I skip past. It's crazy how with Brad Delson being Jeff Blue's intern after seeing his lecture at UCLA is what started a domino effect that gave us Linkin Park. It's insane to think "What if Jeff chose a different guy to be his intern?" or "What if Brad wasn't at that UCLA lecture to see then meet Jeff blue?"
These guys saved me. Watching the last part was a bit hard. I’m actually crying right now… music is such a powerful thing. I can remember the rollercoaster of feelings I was going through and having someone ‘speak’ to me through my headphones, giving me hope and strength and realisation I wasn’t alone came flooding back. Thank you to all the guys and Chester, rest in power ❤
I told mike recently, their album hunting party would be a good way to go forward! There is alot of mike stuff, he actually responded saying, thank you man, its cool to see fans really pay attention to different ways they can make music. That style does work for a way to go moving forward. Thank you mike for continuing to try to push on, ill never forget the way i felt when chester passed on, but to be his brothers, i cant even imagine.
Thank you for creating this video. I've been a fan for a very long time. I'm 65 and my younger brothers were into Linkin Park. Next to my faith in Jesus, their music along with Korn's, Metallica's and other bands have helped get through some very stressful and challenging times, especially when my husband of 40+ years almost died. Still can't believe Chester is gone.
Chester passed away in the exact same day and in the exact same hour that my son was born... I did'nt know how to react , Linkin Park been one of the major things that connected me and my brothers back in the day , personally it felt to me like one closing of a chapter in my life and the beginning of another... R.I.P Chester
He was my favorite singer of all time, heard about him at work, that evening a radio station played the entire Meteora album with no breaks, and i listened to the whole thing bawling the whole time. I also loved him in SAW 7
This was an awesome deep dive on Linkin Park. Their songs always got me when I was in those dark moods, especially Waiting for the End. That song saved me, for real. RIP Chester Bennington 💔
I love Grey Daze and Linkin Park so much. They brought me into Metal. Chester was special. Not only because of his voice. I wish I had the opportunity to see/meet him live... R.I.P. Chester 💔🥀
I was in my 30's and going through a horrible period in my life when I first heard In The End and I related to every single word and was instantly hooked on Linkin Park. Every song on Hybrid Theory spoke to me, as if they were written for me. They were SO talented. I heard an intereview with Chester Bennington on The Elvis Duran and the Morning Show and I found it so uplifting. And then it was over, Chester passed away, I cried so hard. But Linkin Park will always be in my heart and one of my favorite bands of all time.
My hope is that A Thousand Suns eventually gets the love it deserves. I was initially pretty lukewarm to the album, but I listened to the album back to back about 3 times and it grew on me quickly as I realized how much effort went into it to give every song a distinct signature that just wasn't present on their earlier albums. It became my favorite album by them and I feel any of the songs could've been singles, which is something most of their songs share. Rest in Peace, Chester.
Awesome video for both old fans and new ❤ It's impossible to quantify the legacy of this band, how they got an entire generation into rock and metal and to say they're a gateway band in the best way possible is so monumental. Kid-friendly metal is criminally underrated and it's been a joy to introduce my 6 -7 year old to LP's music, and to revisit their discography has been so amazing!
They will forever be legends. Linkin Park was the first band that got me into the rock/metal genre. I discovered a lot of other bands thanks to them. Man have I come so far in music. Til this day, I still like my alt-rock/metal.
@@noompsieOG you got that right. nothing does no beat the classics but my music taste other than LP from rock guns N roses. pantera. korn. limp bizkit. alice in chains. stone temple pliots and when i want something calm and mollow i listen to christoper cross and michael mcdonald.
@@thedarkknightman6150 all old mainstream bands and music , amazing music and musicians don’t get me wrong but do listen to any new music? Do you know of any new music ? Everyone tends to like the music from their youth it’s a psychological social thing that’s quite normals but if you consciously keep an open mind you will find there is so much awesome music out there waiting to be discovered. Don’t you get tired of the same songs over and over and over ?
@@noompsieOG not really. The only modern music I will listen to is Bruno Mars and The Weeknd and the new rapper called merkules I haven't discovered any new modern rock yet
Been a fan of L.P since the beginning and still to this day I love to listen to them. After Chester left us..I had to take a break because it hurt too much to hear him knowing he wasn't around. I wish he knew that for all the fickle fans and hater critics there were a lot of us that appreciated what he gave us, what the band gave us throughout the years. He was such a talent that left too soon but trust and believe we will never forget the joy of seeing him or hearing him left on us... L.P will always be legendary for all they have done..always.. Thank you for this video ❤ Of course Hybrid Theory and Meteroa are my early faves but I love Minutes to Midnight and Living Things. I LOVE Burn It Down so much off that album. Play it all the time. I love the mashup with Jay Z to me it was just a perfect mashup.
I remember the day Bennington died because I was in the car and the DJ on our local Classic Rock station made a statement on-air asking people to stop calling and asking her to talk about it on-air because "We're a Classic Rock station and Linkin Park isn't Classic Rock" Something must have happened while she was off-air because she quickly came back on the air to apologize for her statement. She soon went on "Vacation" and I haven't heard her on that station since.
Nup.. dude's dead, kinda wanna hear music from people i have a chance of seeing, vibing with on future projects.. that kinda thing. he ruined it, he let go. he gave up. i do too. its not hateful, i'm just done.
For myself, as a college kid with severe depression, they spoke directly to me. I joined the LPU and followed them around. Their shows were my anti-depressants and they were such positive role models.
I was able to see LP in 2015 with my brothers. I’m just thankful to have gotten to experience them live. As a man nearing 40, their music evolved as I grew older. It’s just sad that we won’t get to hear Chester sing new music anymore
Alchohalism is not something you want to have to deal with. Neither is depression. Together that is a deadly mix. Offer help, seek help. Tell someone you love that you care today.
I was a freshman in highschool when I first listened to Linkin Park, I never took the lyrics serious. I had no idea it was real thoughts. The songs mean so much more now.
I believe each and every song of Linkin Park is amazing. They all have a separate fan base but gets the message deliver. I remember when one of my colleagues told me in our shift the Chester committed suicide. I could. It believed it so I searched throughout the internet and bust into tears. RIP Chester
There was the addiction side to Chester, sure, and unfortunately, the abuse he suffered. I think he was also one of those people that just felt too much, and couldn’t take it. I’m very sorry he’s gone, because he gave so much to the world, even after his death. I’m still so sad he’s gone. I don’t know for sure if he realized how important he was to so many. ❤❤❤
Minutes to Midnight is mine and many people's 2nd least favourite album of theirs. Though A Thousand Suns and Living things did add relatively new and interesting things to their music, such as having Brad and their bassist on vocals, which makes them understandably better to many.
It’s because their last 4 albums were terrible. I’m sorry I love LP and have been listening to them since legit day 1. Most people commenting can’t say that. But with that being said they’re last 2 CDs were absolutely terrible. Not one good song on either album. I get maturing and aging as a band but they took it too far and it’s a damn shame because had they released 2 more albums like hybrid theory they would have been even more liked than they are today.
@jordanh806 saying there were 0 good tracks is such a stretch lol. Just say YOU don't like the album and move on. No one cares if you're day 1 or not. Almost all their fans have been around since hybrid theory, you're not special.
The first time I heard Linkin Park on MTV I went an ordered it and still listen to it 20+ yrs later and have ever album in possession they have been a benchmark in my life
I was never much of an LP or STP fan but I saw Chester playing with Stone Temple Pilots just a few months before he passed and that shit was mind blowing. I was a huge STP fan afterwards, that was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Totally serious, if there’s a good quality recording of Chester with Stone Temple Pilots, you must give it a listen.
You know, I was turned off by Linkin Park at first. I didn't know what to think of them. It's ironic because STP was one of the 1st bands I ever claimed to like. Had I known Chester was a big STP fan I probably would have been a lot more open to them. I kinda wish I had given LP a chance back in the day 😔 R.I.P. Chester. And sui cide is such a terrible thing. I wish there was a better way to prevent it. Even with a loving wife and kids, it's crazy to me to think he could still do it
saw that show at a small venue outside DC. great show! put weilands sorry performance i saw a few years earlier to shame. he really played to the whole house. RIP.
As a long time viewer, I loved, LOVED seeing the host on camera. I work in rock radio so connecting the voice with an image is meaningful. Keep doing what you do
LP is by far my favorite all time band. I can relate to a majority of their songs and the emotions behind them. It seemed like every new album was a theme to the season in my life I was living. Which gravitated me even more. I seen LP all over on tours and one particular time I threw my shirt up on stage and Chester threw it over his shoulder as he continued the show. I live in Phoenix now. Man I wish I had met him. I fried as a grown man when my brother called to tell me his passing. RIP Chester
I remember seeing an ad on tv in like 2000-2001 for the upcoming new band Lincoln Park and their debut album! My 2 older brothers and I got the album the day it dropped! I’ve been a huge LP fan ever since! Their music has carried me from like the 5-6th grade, through Afghanistan and still to this day at work!
Been a fan from the start. But being poor and then the hours I work as an adult I never got to see a live show. Finally the stars aligned and I got VIP pit tickets for a show debuting their new album One more light tour... 2 weeks before the show, we lost Chester.
9:20 Correction not a few days later, Chester Bennington recorded his vocal over the mixtape on a saturday and the next day sunday, called Jeff that he was done! Told by Chester in Kerrang! Everyone was amazed that he did this so quick AND on his bday.
Me & my newfound cousin Jeremiah was sitting in his room and somehow ended up talking about Linkin Park and how we both loved the band and he ended up telling me that he used to listen to them everyday as he would go to work and the CD would be in his car. Long story short that same day we ended up getting a bottle or two of Bacardi Rum and blasting Linkin Parks music upstairs in his parents house and literally both of us in tears about Chester's death which was very recent at the time.. I will never forget that moment and how we both grieved over the loss of Chester.. RIP & Forever In Our Hearts...
Minute to midnight had some of my favorite songs. Give it up, bleed it out, leave out all the rest, the little things give you away were all such good songs. It was the last album that felt like a legit LP album. We all miss Chester. It was too bad what happened to him.
There was always something about Chester Bennington's vocal delivery that gave LP something that other bands on the same scene just didn't have. His death sadly goes to show that money and fame can never bring you happiness or contentment. His demons gave him the genius and talent but got the better of him at the end. Sad. I hope he's in a better place now ❤
Man, your video really validates my loyalty to the band over the years. All my friends in middle school and high school chased popular music but I was hooked in 1999/2000 when a friend's older brother played one of their songs on Napster or limewire (I don't recall which) but that began the flame for me. I even remember the rumors that they had broken up and nobody seemed to care but I did even though I was "the fan" on high school 😂. It's crazy, the day it went public about Chester hanging himself, people were calling me to check on me like the guy was my buddy. I never got to see them in concert. I never got to meet Robin Williams. Suicide sucks.
I never got to meet them either. Their work was and still is a constant in my life. I just bought Hybrid theory's new rerelease( unfortunately in a slipcase). It's a real shame to lose them so soon.
Besides Prince, MJ, and The Rev, Chester's passing hit me so fucking hard. I looked up to him and have liked Linkin Park for a very long time. Meteora and Minutes to Midnight are my top two favorite albums, but I also really like One More Light even though it's a hard listen now
I was lucky enough to see them for the Project Revolution tour in 2007. A great show and I became hooked. Saw them 3 more times since then. I miss them dearly.
Hey i’ve been a fan since 2003. You did an EXCELLENT job putting together how the band formed. Brought so much clarity. They were teenagers/college kids with talent that came together. Prob the best video i’ve seen where i could visualize this
Great video but hard to watch. When Chester *moved on* I couldn't listen to the music anymore. It took me 4 years almost to the day to be able to listen to them again. And I'm glad I did. Thanks for a respectful telling of a great story. ..it's much appreciated. Thanks mate.
nah Limp Bizkit did it waaayy better and were a wild live band. LP are just remembered more fondly of 'cause of the teenage memories all of us millennials have about them. i saw LB live 10 times and LP 3 times so i'm a bit biased but i always saw LP as a smart "production team" that was able to ride the wave of a sound that was shaped before them.
No other musical act has had more of an impact on my life than linkin park. From 2002 till now they have been regular sounds within my life. It’s to the point I know almost every single one of their songs by heart. As a child having identity issues they were what kept me grounded cause their songs sounded like what I was feeling. They truly are legendary
His life and lyrics saved so many lives like mine. I hope his kids understand how he felt how he just couldn’t take the pain inside anymore and that it had nothing to do with them. 🙏🏽 RIP
I have lived LP since Hybrid Theory. They were screaming out loud what I was screaming in my head. It was almost like therapy. Every album after that resonated with me in a different way, like we were evolving and growing together.
Thank you for doing this. Linkin Park are my favourite band of all time. I was so excited about their new album, One more light and was going to get tickets when they came to the UK. I remember exactly where I was and what I was going when I heard the news about Chester. All these years on, and I am still emotional. Some records I really struggle to listen to . Best band in the world. ❤❤❤❤
To be in my 20s when this story was going was an incredible journey. I didn't keep up with them as much during the 2010s, but loved Heavy when it came out in 2017, then it all came crashing down. I hold out hope for the band to move forward.
Miss him and Chris every day, having survived a suicide attempt and journey to be sober Chester and LP got me through some very dark times. As Mike said, sometimes everything isn’t awesome, it’s just okay! No one sings like you anymore. RIP
I'm 7 minutes in and there are already some wrong facts. (CORRECTIONS BELOW): 4:07 Brad met Dave at UCLA. Not Rob. 6:24 Mark quit the band. He wasn't fired. 7:13 Chester was one year older than most the band, not two. 11:47 It was an electronic group named Hybrid that didn't want them to use the name Hybrid Theory. 12:08 Totally skipped the band's important spelling change. Lincoln park's domain wasn't available. 21:43 It was the best selling album of 2001, not 2000. 31:31 Really? Describing MTM as pop and experimental when really they went for a more raw, classic sound lol. Wtf 😂 Not really a correction but just my opinion.
I didn't realize til after he died he had mental issues. It made all their songs make A LOT more sense. My wife has severe mental issues and Breaking the Habit made me cry every time i heard it on the radio for years because it's basically her life.
Dumbest bullshit ever said. That moron couldn'tt sing his way out of a wet paper bag and it's insulting to actual great voices like Freddie Mercury, Ronnie James Dio, Bruce Dickinson, Robert Plant or Mick Jagger, just to name a few.
I've never understood why Hybrid Theory is so much more beloved & supposedly more iconic than Meteora. Meteora is perfect. Every song could have been a single. I love HT but I don't love every song or feel like they all could have been singles.
chester was such a 1 in a generation voice & talent. im glad i got to live through their musical journey and get to see them live once. still one of, if not my favorite overall band to this day. chester's death was one of maybe 2 or 3 celebs deaths that actually hit me hard. just such a unique voice and vocal abilities.
I still can't believe Chester is gone there music was so amazing I went through a very bad drug addiction and there music was what got me through the days I still listen to there old songs all the time it will never get old to me.
These guys are my literal GODS. They not only showed me how to be an artist but also how to be a decent human being. Thank you for everything 🙏🏽 💞 and Rest in peace Chester 🕊️ Ps. Thank you for putting so much hard work and effort into this video, means a lot as a LP fan. Hope your channel grows.
Honestly that's possibly one of the best differences in work ethic... the attitude of "yeah that's pretty cool" vs "holy crap that's one of the greatest fcking melody's, chorus, riff etc I think I've ever heard"
The collision course Numb/Encore is ABSOLUTELY, FUCKING. GOLDEN. That song cannot be touched to this day. Waiting for the end, Given Up, Numb, Lies Greed Misery, are my favorites too.

Glad ur still with us brother. We all here for each other. Stay strong, stay happy and stay healthy

Thank you.
Meteora is the same for me. Maybe one song I don't like too well
Yes and metoia 2 perfect albums back to back
I’m not even that big of a LP fan, but Hybrid Theory might be one of the greatest albums start to finish of the 2000’s.
I’m indifferent , I cherish every album they ever made include reanimation and as a full grown man admit that their music did save me and I will forever be grateful to this band ❤
I swear "hybrid theory" and "meteora" were both albums that were all singles. You just put those albums on and let them play. No skips needed.
yet they thought some songs would feel like "fillers". how wrong they were... for our happiness!

@@Snowythegoodestboy I really am. They were some of the best experiences of my life, and I'll forever be grateful for them.
You’re lucky 😢
Um sorry but I had an encounter with him at a gun show in Phoenix, AZ... he was a complete dick.. no one was actually paying any attention to him but a couple of people did say hi and he was rude and made snide remarks.. people weren't even asking for pics or autographs..
@@Criticalmaze I do consider myself lucky for it. The world needs more people like he was. 😔
Could you make a video sharing what he told you about the processes? I'm a bit curious how their made and produced their music

Linkin Park's music helped me process my feelings during the most stressful events in my life. Chester's death ripped the scab off a lot of hurts that I've since healed. I still tear up whenever I hear his voice though.
Hearing the screams of Chester's housekeeper during the 911 call is just horrible I hope she was able to heal from that.

“Nobody’s Listening” gave me absolute chills. The lyrics felt eerily prophetic
True, but Waiting for the End... it's no wonder Emily struggled to sing it.
The Carpool Karaoke that was filmed shortly before Chester's death was kind of heartbreaking, depression is a terrible thing.

It’s crazy how much the public and critical consensus of Minutes to Midnight has improved over the years.
I hope his kids understand how he felt how he just couldn’t take the pain inside anymore and that it had nothing to do with them. 🙏🏽 RIP
RIP Chester you’re not comparable to any other singer. Lincoln Park is a legend 😊
I have lived LP since Hybrid Theory. They were screaming out loud what I was screaming in my head. It was almost like therapy. Every album after that resonated with me in a different way, like we were evolving and growing together.
Great documentary, thank you. Chester is so missed 😢
What I've always adored is how the music constantly evolves and changes, yet all hitting that emotional dopamine
Damnnn this was amazing. I still get tears when i think about Chester and hear his voice. What Linkin Park went trough is tough
(CORRECTIONS BELOW):
4:07 Brad met Dave at UCLA.
Seriously, I caught that Rob and Dave mix up and it was hard to take the rest of the video seriously.
28:04 (on Breaking the Habit) "The song contained no screaming", lol, then what is Chester doing at 2:11 on the song?
@@deadso 2:11 in the song? Singing
@@deadso I'd call that more yelling than screaming. in between screaming and singing.
Filled with spelling errors in the quotes too, still an enjoyable video
I didn't realize til after he died he had mental issues. It made all their songs make A LOT more sense. My wife has severe mental issues and Breaking the Habit made me cry every time i heard it on the radio for years because it's basically her life.
I’ve never been a fan of this band, but Chester was such a talented singer. Very sad story and only wish the rest of the band the best.
That's a fair take. Despite not liking the band you saw Chester's talent.
@@FWDSUXARSE He was an amazing singer. Sad.
How do you replace a voice like Chesters? One second he's screaming into the mic, then he's singing a melodic line.... incredible.
these guys were totally a part of my childhood memories.
you so lucky i was in my 20s at the time.
I'm happy to include Linkin Park (w/ Chester Bennington) among the bands I've seen in concert. They (He) was great.
The greatest voice in music history 🤘💯. Rest in peace and paradise Chester Bennington 😭
Dumbest bullshit ever said. That moron couldn'tt sing his way out of a wet paper bag and it's insulting to actual great voices like Freddie Mercury, Ronnie James Dio, Bruce Dickinson, Robert Plant or Mick Jagger, just to name a few.
@Michael Edwards it's his opinion..
Better than Chris Cornell, cmon...........
Not even top 50
Rip Chester I still bump his music till this day and use his songs in my social media biggest regret not going to one of his concerts 😭🙏🙏🙏🙏
Absolutely fantastic tribute. Some of your best work. Thank you
I still can't believe Chester is gone there music was so amazing I went through a very bad drug addiction and there music was what got me through the days I still listen to there old songs all the time it will never get old to me.
These guys are my literal GODS. They not only showed me how to be an artist but also how to be a decent human being. Thank you for everything 🙏🏽 💞 and Rest in peace Chester 🕊️
Ps. Thank you for putting so much hard work and effort into this video, means a lot as a LP fan. Hope your channel grows.
Thanks! Fellow fan here as well of LP
Will always love Linkin Park have listened to them since I was in middle school. RIP Chester Bennington.
Honestly that's possibly one of the best differences in work ethic...
the attitude of "yeah that's pretty cool" vs
"holy crap that's one of the greatest fcking melody's, chorus, riff etc I think I've ever heard"
The collision course Numb/Encore is ABSOLUTELY, FUCKING. GOLDEN. That song cannot be touched to this day.
Waiting for the end, Given Up, Numb, Lies Greed Misery, are my favorites too.
