@@eliababebayehu8966 I'm sure we'll get a new game in 2021. I'm actually thinking we might get multiple games (maybe a spinoff too or something). I'm hoping it's an Adventure styled game personally if it wasn't obvious from the video (it's my favorite gameplay formula). But it'd also be interesting if we got something completely new. I think Sonic is in need of another soft reboot.
@@chaomix I'm hoping for Adventure style too, I was wishing a beat em up combat gameplay and fast-paced gameplay of new Sonic Game, but do u really think that there might be Sonic Adventure 3 in 30th anniversary, or the remakes of 1 and 2 before 3rd game. And the other hand, I was wishing that Sonic beat-em-up gameplay for next year would be exactly the same for Sonic boom rise of lyric, but the mainstream Sonic game series. What do u think?
@@eliababebayehu8966 A beat em up could be a cool side game for sure. I’m hoping they do remakes for Adventure 1 and 2 first so they can relearn how to properly do those games. But honestly I could see them just jumping straight to Adventure 3. If they do this I think it’s a bit risky for them since they’re coming straight off of Sonic Forces which was honestly really disappointing to me.
@@chaomix Yeah I agree, this year 2020, thanks to COVID 19, it's sucked since there's no Sonic games coming this year until next year. That stinks. But hopefully, let the miracle happen next year.
I have to agree, as much as a adventure era fan as I am and as much as I'd love a adventure 3. I have a real bad feeling that sega will do a sonic 4 and just throw adventure 3 on the title to sell copies. I would perfer they have a separate team remake stuff like the adventure games, heroes, and shadow before sa3 happens tbh.
Love sonic adventure and sonic adventure 2 but I don’t trust sega which they biggest problem is them rushed game out before it done to get more money in fact unleashed and generation are the only game I would consider good after sa2 but other game like 06 could have been good if the game was not rushed
I agree. I was in middle school when i owned both SA1 and SA2 for dreamcast in '01. Ive been a fan of Sonic since i owned the genesis games. Ive owned every game up til now, and Forces was not executed well. I think going the remake route as the Crash series did, would probably remind Sonic Team of what they could do in their adventure days. Even if they call in another developer to do the project, it would also teach some of the newer staff at Sonic Team what the old Sonic Team used to strive for.
Just take inspiration from the old games, make the writing like it, design an open world and designed like Balan Wonderworld, use a new third character who didn't have spotlight or in awhile and adds a fresh gameplay style, bring back old mechanics especially for Sonic because he has hundreds or just alot, make humans in style of Unleashed because even after 12 Years, they hold up well and the new cast can stay as long as the energy and realistic is the same or close as the old one and as long as it's fresh and based on the same concept of Adventure but making it for old fans and new ones because I didn't play Sonic games for being a kids only game, I played it because the dark and mature tones gave weight to everything in it regardless if the mechanics didn't do good for many, I even loved the Werehog because it driven the game and the Night stages in the PS2 copy I got when it came out were breathtaking. However not everyone is gonna love it but as long as it's able to capture the feel of the 3D Games especially Sonic Unleashed as a prime example even if there's new actors but doesn't overuse characters, mechanics, levels, etc. then that's good but it is true that it's not time because to do it right and get Sonic back to his prime especially with Jason's performances, they need to do research and check old games, basically watch cutscenes and see what about them made the games regardless of success or failure feel like, why did we enjoy just seeing the city and experience things even when they're calm and not into the war parts because I will not say the moment with the Chocolate Chip Sundae Supreme will ever be replaced, it's amazing just having normal and non-complicated situations even though it works but SA, SA2, Sonic Rush, SU, alot of these games were just about doing something normal, not in a rush, take in the sights, meet new people, conversate, that's exactly what Sonic needs back and if they do make an SA3, it better include everything I said because Sonic needs help as his Anniversary is falling apart, I don't want him to suffer.

@@chaomix I'm not excited for it. Last time Yuji tried to recreate the feel of the Nights series we ended up getting the mediocre Rodea The Sky Soldier. Yuji and his team need to go back to Sega.
If Sonic's 30th anniversary fails, it may be worse than Kojima's resignation from Konami, or if it is unlucky, it may go down like THQ. Because SEGA's stock is not good.
You give Sega too much credit. Look at how long it took them to make something like Sonic Manai. They also still have brought over Sonic 2(Mobile version) to PC.
I don't know, maybe Sega doesn't agree so easily as a third entry in the adventure series has to be canon and in the mainline, unlike Mania which was in Sonic Generations Classic Sonic's timeline, but if they did what they did with Sonic 4...
A well done Sonic Adventure remake would be an easy chore that definitely hype me up and give me confidence in Sonic Team's ability to do SA3. Another great sonic video, Chao!

Sonic Adventure games are like the Temple in Jerusalem; we have no business pushing for a third until it is revealed to us under worthy circumstances, in an age that deserves it.
SA2 Battle was released in December 2001 alongside Sonic Advance for Japanese Audiences. Most regions for some reason had the GameCube version & Sonic Advance held back until 2002. Sonic Mega Collection would release in 2002, while Japan would get Advance 2 December that year only for it to be delayed a few months for other regions. 2003's Sonic Adventure DX or Sonic Pinball Party would be the last time Chao would be able to be raised with the exception of ports.
For a Sonic Adventure 3 we need: -Good story -Good level design -NO boost! -Old characters, like: Sonic, from joker to cool again; Tails, from fearfull nerdy sidekick to brave and independent hero; Knuckles, from "To Be-Here-Because-Yes" to strong Master Emerald guardian; Amy, from bossy cheerleader to kind and lovely heroine; and others. -Various gameplay styles including speed, race, treasure hunting, shooting, survival horror, puzzle, fishing and combat. -Super wonderfull ending -Amazing soundtrack -Chao Garden -NO Classic Sonic -NO Classic Era stages -Big, Cream and Chaotix good roles -2009 vibe (because almost every "Adventure" game have a 3 years distance from each other, like Sonic Adventure in 1998, Adventure 2 in 2001, Heroes in 2004 and Sonic "zero six" in 2006)
What I would like to see is this: Thay should make a game thats based off the sonic rush/advance series. It could have old stages frome those games return but better than ever and get rid of the horrendous bottomless pits, and the gameplay will have boost and advances game. You can decide rather or not you can play with the boost formula or the advances formula (and the stages would have to work both ways they would have to work with and without boost) so you can choose rather or not to have the boost not force it on you. It will be like sonic mania but modern and based on the rush/advance series. I would like to see that a lot bc Sonic Rush is my favorite video game of all time and seeing a game heavily based of it would just MABYE SURPASS IT.
I actually LOVE Sonic Rush! I think doing a remake or re-imagining of that game would be awesome. The Advance games are also amazing but yeah, the bottomless pits are the worst. Getting those games on modern consoles would be amazing.

calling it sa3 wouldnt be that much of a problem, other than people expecting a new adventure game instead of a remake, but sonic 06 was supposed to be the next sa3 so it makes sense
I feel like, IF they were to do an adventure 3…they should get Ryan Drummond back for it. He voiced the blur in both 1&2 of the franchise. I feel like he should be the one to finish the legacy he started.
I really feel like the only reason they are not doing Sonic Adventure 3 is because they are using that as a last resort for Sonic. Like if there's no saving the Sonic franchise then they are gonna end it with a massive going all out finale with a Sonic Adventure 3.
Kind of what Phantasy Star did with PSIV, so far it has been their last non-online game and they were going all out for the big finale, and they succeed at it
I really want SA3 to happen but my main concern is with misinformation being push by critics, Sonic Team is under the impression that making an SA3 is some sort of risk. I can’t full explain it but there is this video called Why ProJared is wrong about Sonic Adventure 2 by Ruby of Blue which goes over this. I greatly recommend watching that video because it brings up lots of good points.
This is exactly how I feel. I've wanted Sonic Adventure 3 for 2 full decades - I played it on EU launch, and then proceeded to basically play nothing else until Heroes came out. I would love nothing more than to have SA3 right now... and that's why it's gotta wait. I don't want some lazy attempt to recapture the magic of Dreamcast era. I don't want them to bung together a bunch of our favourite stuff from the Sonic Adventure games in some kind of nostalgia frenzy, coupled with a half-assed plot. I want something vaguely close to the SA3s I've been imagining for the large majority of my life. I'd love remakes of the first two. Sure, there are ways to play them easily available, but SA1 in particular feels as old as it is in some aspects. Imagining an HD Perfect Chaos fight that FEELS like a city being destroyed by a monstrous abomination? That owns! I would love to see these beautiful worlds and areas that have been part of my life for so long be given a splash of 2020s graphical magic. It'd be the perfect way of them showing that hey, look, we CAN do this. Like you said, with all the story, characterisation, level design and so on right there for them to simply remake, it'd be hard to fuck up entirely. It's a big ask but cmon Sonic Team, we've been asking for long enough, and I'm sure at least 8 of us have been polite about it!

I think Sonic Team is only half of the equation. SEGA has made very few good decisions concerning the Sonic brand for over a decade and a half now, and I feel like they deserve far more blame considering literally all of the unreasonable or downright detrimental demands they force upon Sonic Team while Sonic Team tries to make each game, which is definitely holding the series back by a lot. It's telling that the game with the least oversight from Sega, Sonic Mania, was by all accounts the best game in the franchise since at least 2008, if not since before then.
SEGA doesn't have the same budget as Square Enix, not gonna happen unless SEGA can do something big but Yuji Naka feels happy and I'm okay with that, we just need fans who are as creative and talented like him because not one person has that skill so we just need talented fans to help out and mostly have new blood at Sonic Team, it might not replicate the same feel as from the 2000s but it will improve just like how Mania, a game made by fans helped their success.

I have felt the exact same way about them remaking from the ground-up Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 before working on a third. And just to expand on that point, I would say remake Sonic Adventure 1 first and release it as a standalone game, and then receive all the constructive criticism from the fans, and use it to remake Sonic Adventure 2. And then once they do that, then do Sonic Adventure 3. The original Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 we're both very different from each other in a lot of ways, especially controls, level design, abilities, and game mechanics. If they release both Adventure 1 and 2 remakes at the same time, which is a rumor I did hear, both of those games will feel very similar to each other and there won't be much differentiating them

Personally, I don't care about SA3, I just want an SA1 remake to clear that game's good name after the garbo ports ruined the controls and everything else (the Steam version was absolutely unplayable until I installed a few mods).
I’d be happy with either a remake or an SA3 (if done correctly). I’d also kind of like a completely new style of gameplay that’d more “next gen” like an open world Sonic Game or something.
@@chaomix If I got to make a new 3D Sonic gameplay style, it would be focused on replayability and style. You could beat the levels with some basic abilities, but players willing to put the time in and learn could use more advanced techniques to fly through stages. Some of the best games in the series already do this to some extent, but I would like to see more complex ways to maneuver through the landscape, like the return of the triangle jump or a more refined parkour system. They could even take a page from modern superhero games so you really _feel_ like a blue rat coked up on adderal. Maybe it could be something like Sonic GT.I really have no clue what I'm talking about, though.

@@spider13593 I'm sorry but I'm going to have to disagree. Generations and Colors has good gameplay but the story and writing is atrocious. Colors was the game where characters were starting to be flanderized and just spout out unfunny jokes. Stupid self aware humor that's not even funny. Sonic starts to become unlikable. Tails starts to become not useful of helping out in fights. All these problems started to become worse in later games in the 2010s like lost world.
You hit the nail right on the head, dude. Even if a Sonic Adventure 3 were to release today and generally considered to be "good," there's no way it will live up to the hopes of those who held the first two in high regard and had twenty years to build up their unrealistic expectations. It's like when people complain about bands changing their sound and begging them to go back to their roots. I saw the merch you had in another video; Linkin Park could make another Hybrid Theory right now (RIP Chester) but it still wouldn't be the same because twenty years have passed and people have changed. I think the best thing fans can do is realize that even if it does happen, it's not going to be perfect, and that's OK.
Am I the only one who’s never been pumped about adding classic or remaking it, etc? Basically once it hopped to 3D I never looked back, even though sonic 2 was one of my favorite games at the time.

Sonic Team should take the Crash Bandicoot approach of rebuilding the original Sonic Adventure games with a new engine that fits the original Adventure playstyle, and then building off of that to make a bigger, better sequel.
Sonic Heroes was (kind of) Sonic Adventure 3, as it took place after the events of Adventure 2. Which was then followed by Shadow the Hedgehog then Sonic 06
Get anime writers who are fans of sonic. Maybe they can make a good sonic story with the awesome badass direction and writing that feels like and anime. But they HAVE to be fans because they need to know and understand sonic to be able to portray the characters right

I feel like if they did make remakes of the adventure games they could do something like what Bowser's Fury did by adding a mini "Sonic Adventure 2.5" campaign to test the waters for a new full adventure game.

At the very least, they should bring back the 4Kids cast and the story writer from Unleashed. They were finally getting somewhere in the storytelling department again, and then just threw it away. I feel like they’d be able to do the Adventure style justice.
We have already Sonic Adventure 3. It was just called Sonic '06 xD Think about it. In SA1 you had 1 Hedhehog Turn Super in the Last Story. In SA2 you had TWO Hedgehogs turning Super in the Last Story. And in SA3 (06) you Had THREE Hedgehogs turning Super. Easy Math. :D Yeah, i want a remake of Sonic 06, like Project 06, but finished.

@@75JUNAKI You can call them whatever you want and debate wheter or not which gameplay elements matter for the title. If you say, the hub world in SA1 is the big thing that makes it Sonic ADVENTURE, then even Adventure 2 isn't a sequel to SA1. I just think 06 has enough similiarities to the first 2 Adventure games that i consider it to be the unofficial SA3. I like Heroes but i think it's more like the Classic games than the first two Adventure games, so i don't consider it to be a successor to SA2.
Sonic adventure 3 isn't happening until MAYBE 2026. But since sonic team doesn't really do anniversary games unless they started around a year before the anniversary. But since there has been so much development in sonic, then it's gonna be really hard to replicate a sonic adventure game
Can I just say personally I don't like the keeping up with trends point going around. Doesn't really mean Sega is gonna follow through. And if they do whose to say it will be the right ones
This is the closest video I've seen reflecting my own thoughts. The only thing is that if I were the one in charge I would not call any future game Sonic Adventure 3; it's just had too much time passing at this point and expectations would be too high, but I would still remake Adventure 1 and 2, and use them as the basis for games going forwards.
Here’s what I think, I don’t think a Sonic Adventure 3 is needed, all Sonic Team needs to do is make a good Sonic game that has good gameplay with also good level design with original zones and no automation, great soundtrack, good story that makes sense, extras, and also don’t rush it. That’s all I’m asking, Sonic Frontiers unfortunately doesn’t do it for me, it’s janky with controls no matter how I alter it, not satisfied, and the open world (not calling them open zones) feel bland as they’re just worlds with grind rails and platforms on them.

I would preffer for the remakes to be like Black Mesa, a remake of Half Life, that turns it into a brand new game, the story is the same, the level themes are the same, but have new level design, and besides that, it's a bran new game, with new versions of the weapons, ennemies, allies, ETC. Making it so that to get the full picture, you play both Half Life an Black Mesa, instead of how it's with Spyro and Crash, where if you played the originals recently enough, you have no reasons to play the remakes, and if you played the remakes, you have even less reasons to play the originals. I'm bored of remakes, that are just remasters, they're good, but while they are better than ports, I love the Spyro *Remaster*, but I want to see real remakes, like Black Mesa, where the process is not remaking the art, code and levels, so it's nicer, but is fondamentally still the same game, and again, these aren't bad, but to remake the game, from the ground up, into a new brand new game. I on't know if Sonic Team themselves can do that tho...
This is my opinion, but i consider Sonic Heroes Sa3. Because at the end of Sa2, there is a message saying “Rest easy Heroes” which i looked at as some kind of hint towards the next game i believe the message is shown before the display of shadow infront of earth
@@aggromango534 I see Heroes being closer to S.A.3 but still not. Sonic.T.H.2006 may be similar to S.A.1, but the Boost game’s are also similar to each-other, regardless of how different other aspect’s.
I feel like due to the Pandemic they Might have to Scrap some Ideas out if they are pushing for Mid Or Somewhere in 2021 in terms of Developing the next Modern Sonic Game
“They want to take more time to the production of new sonic games” that’s what we heard with lost world and Forces as an excuse. The problem is we don’t even know if they’re working on a game, so definitely don’t count on the director saying that, it’s a shallow excuse with nothing backing it up. Also it’s clear that the sonic team now doesn’t really understand how to make a game good, so even with all the time in the world it would still be bad.

@@eliababebayehu8966 I'm sure we'll get a new game in 2021. I'm actually thinking we might get multiple games (maybe a spinoff too or something). I'm hoping it's an Adventure styled game personally if it wasn't obvious from the video (it's my favorite gameplay formula). But it'd also be interesting if we got something completely new. I think Sonic is in need of another soft reboot.

And the other hand, I was wishing that Sonic beat-em-up gameplay for next year would be exactly the same for Sonic boom rise of lyric, but the mainstream Sonic game series. What do u think?
@@eliababebayehu8966 A beat em up could be a cool side game for sure. I’m hoping they do remakes for Adventure 1 and 2 first so they can relearn how to properly do those games. But honestly I could see them just jumping straight to Adventure 3. If they do this I think it’s a bit risky for them since they’re coming straight off of Sonic Forces which was honestly really disappointing to me.

I have to agree, as much as a adventure era fan as I am and as much as I'd love a adventure 3. I have a real bad feeling that sega will do a sonic 4 and just throw adventure 3 on the title to sell copies. I would perfer they have a separate team remake stuff like the adventure games, heroes, and shadow before sa3 happens tbh.
Love sonic adventure and sonic adventure 2 but I don’t trust sega which they biggest problem is them rushed game out before it done to get more money in fact unleashed and generation are the only game I would consider good after sa2 but other game like 06 could have been good if the game was not rushed

I agree. I was in middle school when i owned both SA1 and SA2 for dreamcast in '01. Ive been a fan of Sonic since i owned the genesis games. Ive owned every game up til now, and Forces was not executed well. I think going the remake route as the Crash series did, would probably remind Sonic Team of what they could do in their adventure days. Even if they call in another developer to do the project, it would also teach some of the newer staff at Sonic Team what the old Sonic Team used to strive for.
Just take inspiration from the old games, make the writing like it, design an open world and designed like Balan Wonderworld, use a new third character who didn't have spotlight or in awhile and adds a fresh gameplay style, bring back old mechanics especially for Sonic because he has hundreds or just alot, make humans in style of Unleashed because even after 12 Years, they hold up well and the new cast can stay as long as the energy and realistic is the same or close as the old one and as long as it's fresh and based on the same concept of Adventure but making it for old fans and new ones because I didn't play Sonic games for being a kids only game, I played it because the dark and mature tones gave weight to everything in it regardless if the mechanics didn't do good for many, I even loved the Werehog because it driven the game and the Night stages in the PS2 copy I got when it came out were breathtaking.
However not everyone is gonna love it but as long as it's able to capture the feel of the 3D Games especially Sonic Unleashed as a prime example even if there's new actors but doesn't overuse characters, mechanics, levels, etc. then that's good but it is true that it's not time because to do it right and get Sonic back to his prime especially with Jason's performances, they need to do research and check old games, basically watch cutscenes and see what about them made the games regardless of success or failure feel like, why did we enjoy just seeing the city and experience things even when they're calm and not into the war parts because I will not say the moment with the Chocolate Chip Sundae Supreme will ever be replaced, it's amazing just having normal and non-complicated situations even though it works but SA, SA2, Sonic Rush, SU, alot of these games were just about doing something normal, not in a rush, take in the sights, meet new people, conversate, that's exactly what Sonic needs back and if they do make an SA3, it better include everything I said because Sonic needs help as his Anniversary is falling apart, I don't want him to suffer.

Personally I don’t think an official Sonic Adventure 3 should ever be made but rather a new Sonic Adventure style game.

You give Sega too much credit. Look at how long it took them to make something like Sonic Manai. They also still have brought over Sonic 2(Mobile version) to PC.
I don't know, maybe Sega doesn't agree so easily as a third entry in the adventure series has to be canon and in the mainline, unlike Mania which was in Sonic Generations Classic Sonic's timeline, but if they did what they did with Sonic 4...

SA2 Battle was released in December 2001 alongside Sonic Advance for Japanese Audiences. Most regions for some reason had the GameCube version & Sonic Advance held back until 2002. Sonic Mega Collection would release in 2002, while Japan would get Advance 2 December that year only for it to be delayed a few months for other regions. 2003's Sonic Adventure DX or Sonic Pinball Party would be the last time Chao would be able to be raised with the exception of ports.

What I would like to see is this:
Thay should make a game thats based off the sonic rush/advance series. It could have old stages frome those games return but better than ever and get rid of the horrendous bottomless pits, and the gameplay will have boost and advances game. You can decide rather or not you can play with the boost formula or the advances formula (and the stages would have to work both ways they would have to work with and without boost) so you can choose rather or not to have the boost not force it on you. It will be like sonic mania but modern and based on the rush/advance series. I would like to see that a lot bc Sonic Rush is my favorite video game of all time and seeing a game heavily based of it would just MABYE SURPASS IT.
I actually LOVE Sonic Rush! I think doing a remake or re-imagining of that game would be awesome. The Advance games are also amazing but yeah, the bottomless pits are the worst. Getting those games on modern consoles would be amazing.

I feel like, IF they were to do an adventure 3…they should get Ryan Drummond back for it. He voiced the blur in both 1&2 of the franchise. I feel like he should be the one to finish the legacy he started.
I really feel like the only reason they are not doing Sonic Adventure 3 is because they are using that as a last resort for Sonic. Like if there's no saving the Sonic franchise then they are gonna end it with a massive going all out finale with a Sonic Adventure 3.
Kind of what Phantasy Star did with PSIV, so far it has been their last non-online game and they were going all out for the big finale, and they succeed at it
I really want SA3 to happen but my main concern is with misinformation being push by critics, Sonic Team is under the impression that making an SA3 is some sort of risk. I can’t full explain it but there is this video called Why ProJared is wrong about Sonic Adventure 2 by Ruby of Blue which goes over this. I greatly recommend watching that video because it brings up lots of good points.

This is exactly how I feel. I've wanted Sonic Adventure 3 for 2 full decades - I played it on EU launch, and then proceeded to basically play nothing else until Heroes came out. I would love nothing more than to have SA3 right now... and that's why it's gotta wait.
I don't want some lazy attempt to recapture the magic of Dreamcast era. I don't want them to bung together a bunch of our favourite stuff from the Sonic Adventure games in some kind of nostalgia frenzy, coupled with a half-assed plot. I want something vaguely close to the SA3s I've been imagining for the large majority of my life.
I'd love remakes of the first two. Sure, there are ways to play them easily available, but SA1 in particular feels as old as it is in some aspects. Imagining an HD Perfect Chaos fight that FEELS like a city being destroyed by a monstrous abomination? That owns! I would love to see these beautiful worlds and areas that have been part of my life for so long be given a splash of 2020s graphical magic.
It'd be the perfect way of them showing that hey, look, we CAN do this. Like you said, with all the story, characterisation, level design and so on right there for them to simply remake, it'd be hard to fuck up entirely.
It's a big ask but cmon Sonic Team, we've been asking for long enough, and I'm sure at least 8 of us have been polite about it!

I think Sonic Team is only half of the equation. SEGA has made very few good decisions concerning the Sonic brand for over a decade and a half now, and I feel like they deserve far more blame considering literally all of the unreasonable or downright detrimental demands they force upon Sonic Team while Sonic Team tries to make each game, which is definitely holding the series back by a lot. It's telling that the game with the least oversight from Sega, Sonic Mania, was by all accounts the best game in the franchise since at least 2008, if not since before then.
They HAVE to get Yuji Naka back for that project

SEGA doesn't have the same budget as Square Enix, not gonna happen unless SEGA can do something big but Yuji Naka feels happy and I'm okay with that, we just need fans who are as creative and talented like him because not one person has that skill so we just need talented fans to help out and mostly have new blood at Sonic Team, it might not replicate the same feel as from the 2000s but it will improve just like how Mania, a game made by fans helped their success.

I have felt the exact same way about them remaking from the ground-up Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 before working on a third. And just to expand on that point, I would say remake Sonic Adventure 1 first and release it as a standalone game, and then receive all the constructive criticism from the fans, and use it to remake Sonic Adventure 2. And then once they do that, then do Sonic Adventure 3. The original Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 we're both very different from each other in a lot of ways, especially controls, level design, abilities, and game mechanics. If they release both Adventure 1 and 2 remakes at the same time, which is a rumor I did hear, both of those games will feel very similar to each other and there won't be much differentiating them

Personally, I don't care about SA3, I just want an SA1 remake to clear that game's good name after the garbo ports ruined the controls and everything else (the Steam version was absolutely unplayable until I installed a few mods).
I’d be happy with either a remake or an SA3 (if done correctly). I’d also kind of like a completely new style of gameplay that’d more “next gen” like an open world Sonic Game or something.
@@chaomix If I got to make a new 3D Sonic gameplay style, it would be focused on replayability and style. You could beat the levels with some basic abilities, but players willing to put the time in and learn could use more advanced techniques to fly through stages. Some of the best games in the series already do this to some extent, but I would like to see more complex ways to maneuver through the landscape, like the return of the triangle jump or a more refined parkour system. They could even take a page from modern superhero games so you really _feel_ like a blue rat coked up on adderal.
Maybe it could be something like Sonic GT.I really have no clue what I'm talking about, though.

Colors was the game where characters were starting to be flanderized and just spout out unfunny jokes. Stupid self aware humor that's not even funny. Sonic starts to become unlikable. Tails starts to become not useful of helping out in fights. All these problems started to become worse in later games in the 2010s like lost world.

You hit the nail right on the head, dude. Even if a Sonic Adventure 3 were to release today and generally considered to be "good," there's no way it will live up to the hopes of those who held the first two in high regard and had twenty years to build up their unrealistic expectations. It's like when people complain about bands changing their sound and begging them to go back to their roots. I saw the merch you had in another video; Linkin Park could make another Hybrid Theory right now (RIP Chester) but it still wouldn't be the same because twenty years have passed and people have changed. I think the best thing fans can do is realize that even if it does happen, it's not going to be perfect, and that's OK.

I also heard people call Sonic Colors D.S as Sonic Rush 3, no it isn’t, Rush game’s have Blaze as part of the main character’s, delving into her dimension.
Plus Colors D.S is a different version of Colors, not a sequel to Rush Duo.
Sonic Team should take the Crash Bandicoot approach of rebuilding the original Sonic Adventure games with a new engine that fits the original Adventure playstyle, and then building off of that to make a bigger, better sequel.
Or remake it on the PS4 and Xbox One and make it backwards compatible with the newer systems.
Sonic Heroes was (kind of) Sonic Adventure 3, as it took place after the events of Adventure 2. Which was then followed by Shadow the Hedgehog then Sonic 06

I feel like if they did make remakes of the adventure games they could do something like what Bowser's Fury did by adding a mini "Sonic Adventure 2.5" campaign to test the waters for a new full adventure game.

At the very least, they should bring back the 4Kids cast and the story writer from Unleashed. They were finally getting somewhere in the storytelling department again, and then just threw it away. I feel like they’d be able to do the Adventure style justice.

@@75JUNAKI You can call them whatever you want and debate wheter or not which gameplay elements matter for the title. If you say, the hub world in SA1 is the big thing that makes it Sonic ADVENTURE, then even Adventure 2 isn't a sequel to SA1. I just think 06 has enough similiarities to the first 2 Adventure games that i consider it to be the unofficial SA3. I like Heroes but i think it's more like the Classic games than the first two Adventure games, so i don't consider it to be a successor to SA2.

Sonic adventure 3 isn't happening until MAYBE 2026. But since sonic team doesn't really do anniversary games unless they started around a year before the anniversary. But since there has been so much development in sonic, then it's gonna be really hard to replicate a sonic adventure game

I am trying to develop a Sonic Adventure 3. My SA3 was pretended to be released on the Sega Dreamcast and in PC as a DX version.

This is the closest video I've seen reflecting my own thoughts. The only thing is that if I were the one in charge I would not call any future game Sonic Adventure 3; it's just had too much time passing at this point and expectations would be too high, but I would still remake Adventure 1 and 2, and use them as the basis for games going forwards.

Here’s what I think, I don’t think a Sonic Adventure 3 is needed, all Sonic Team needs to do is make a good Sonic game that has good gameplay with also good level design with original zones and no automation, great soundtrack, good story that makes sense, extras, and also don’t rush it.
That’s all I’m asking, Sonic Frontiers unfortunately doesn’t do it for me, it’s janky with controls no matter how I alter it, not satisfied, and the open world (not calling them open zones) feel bland as they’re just worlds with grind rails and platforms on them.
I think they should remake both Adventure games for the PS5, and Xbox Series X and port it to Switch.

I would preffer for the remakes to be like Black Mesa, a remake of Half Life, that turns it into a brand new game, the story is the same, the level themes are the same, but have new level design, and besides that, it's a bran new game, with new versions of the weapons, ennemies, allies, ETC. Making it so that to get the full picture, you play both Half Life an Black Mesa, instead of how it's with Spyro and Crash, where if you played the originals recently enough, you have no reasons to play the remakes, and if you played the remakes, you have even less reasons to play the originals. I'm bored of remakes, that are just remasters, they're good, but while they are better than ports, I love the Spyro *Remaster*, but I want to see real remakes, like Black Mesa, where the process is not remaking the art, code and levels, so it's nicer, but is fondamentally still the same game, and again, these aren't bad, but to remake the game, from the ground up, into a new brand new game. I on't know if Sonic Team themselves can do that tho...
This is my opinion, but i consider Sonic Heroes Sa3.
Because at the end of Sa2, there is a message saying “Rest easy Heroes” which i looked at as some kind of hint towards the next game

“They want to take more time to the production of new sonic games” that’s what we heard with lost world and Forces as an excuse. The problem is we don’t even know if they’re working on a game, so definitely don’t count on the director saying that, it’s a shallow excuse with nothing backing it up. Also it’s clear that the sonic team now doesn’t really understand how to make a game good, so even with all the time in the world it would still be bad.
