Glad I found this! I have a tank cycling and saw some of these at my local shop and hadn't heard much about them before.
great to hear! Good luck on everything 👍
This video is imperative and invaluable for any guppy keeper. Peace and blessings.
Cheers Madcat! HNY!
Good, informative video. Well done.
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for this video; these are great tips. I'll get some Endlers soon!
Glad it was helpful!
nice tips.....they are so pretty and also easy but they are so tiny.....we need someone to make a super sized Endler!! Maybe you can figure it out....
Thanks guys!
Nothing you said was really wrong, just some finer points:
Set tank heater to 70°. They will live twice as long. If your house is a stable 70°-ish, no heater is needed. They will breed faster in tropical temps, but they will also die faster.
Only feed once a day. If you have a planted tank with a thriving eco system, you can cut back to feeding twice a week. Over feeding is #1 cause of death.
Great video
Nice job ...
Excellent points .
Thanks!
Amazing video shared with us, Great content on your channel, a hug, 👍30
Thanks, means a lot!
some of them looks like the ones from the wild . coloration and all, i hope you make video/s about wild endlers too. ❤
Thanks, I'll do a vid on wild endlers if I manage to get some good footage for that. 👍
Do you remember? I added new fish to my tank after 2 weeks of quarantine, and then they all died. Now I know what caused it. I had just changed the water, and in the Netherlands you have to add Aqua safe to neutralize certain chemicals in the tap water. But I used a little too much of it, and then it was like poison...
interesting, here where I live we need to use a dechlorinator to remove the chlorine in the water. I've never thought about water from other countries or the neutralization methods, but glad you figured it out.
Good information, thanks.

My LFS prefers the guppy/endler cross. They tend to be healthier and more color variety and tail shapes.
I have crossbred multiple endlers and guppies in the past, and for me, some of them would inherit the healthier endler genes while others would follow the guppies. Interesting stuff!
I've been trying to find some good looking endlers but I haven't had any luck yet.
Good luck on that!
@@Aquafinity Thanks you! 🙂
I found the better-looking ones online.
@@kaden.slone04_biology I recently found some good specimens at a local fish store but at the end I decided not to get them, but maybe in the future. 🙂
I bought new fish, and 2 weeks later I put them in my community tank. According to the trader, 2 weeks of quarantine was a long time. But within 1 day all the fish became critically ill and I had to start over.
Therefore this question: how long should you quarantine new guppies? One month? Half a year?
I don't think your case is a matter of quarantining, guppies typically are okay with very little quarantining unless they're noticeably sick. It might be due to some disease or an issue with the tank, but usually little to do with the quarantine process itself. So I would figure out the exact symptoms your fish are displaying and try to research how to fix them. Hope this helps!

There are always sick animals in pet stores in the Netherlands. So you buy fish that you are almost certain are contaminated. That's a different situation than in your country, I suspect. Traders in your country will not sell fish if there are sick animals in the same tank. But in the Netherlands you are almost guaranteed to buy sick animals. So quarantine is really necessary. But how long? You don't know that either?
@@Aquafinity strange, my answerd disappeared,. I'll try it again.

Keeping Endlers with my Gambusia, they seem to really like each other ❤
*No, they cannot hybridize, they're 2 different Genus and their bits are not compatible. I did much research on this. 😅
They're pretty similar, that's for sure. I used to keep Gambusia a while back and they were pretty interesting. Thx for watching!
And they didnt attack the endlers? My gambusia use to nip the fins of my guppies
Gambusia don't attack them? I haven't owned Gambusia personally but I've read things about them killing other livebearers.
Hi, I'm new her and I was woundering if you could tell me where to get the endlers from
I got mine from Petco and eBay but you could probably find them in most local fish stores. They’re quite popular for sure. Thanks for watching!

@@Aquafinity Sorry my bad. there is nothing wrong with your video. I want to get some of them. just ask you to get some information. thank you
My ones seem to be harassing my Platies and not peaceful mainly..
I have a 5.5 gallon tank, can I keep five males together, no females?
Yup, you could do that.
Nice zac!
Thx!
Yw!
Hey there, haven't seen you in a while :D
Will endler guppy eat detritus worms?
I don’t think they do
Why you should let young males and females grow up separately.
You can separate young guppies 2 weeks after birth: the females already have a dark spot on their belly that pregnant females also have. If you do not separate the sexes, males can fertilize females at a very young age. And once they mature, the females will immediately become pregnant. And then you get a huge bulge. Then suddenly you are a millionaire... Millions of guppies...
Females that grow up virginally for five months grow larger and have more young per female, if you let them be mated by the male you want young from
Can male guppys breed with female endlers?
Yes, they create endler guppy hybrids.
