It was said that a full load of RAF RP3 rockets was the equivalent of a Royal Navy cruiser broadside. Thus, used in the correct circumstances, they ought to be devastating. Perhaps not against a battleship's armour belt, but anything else should be fun. 😊❤😊
I'll add that this mod may not be historically accurate, but it's definitely great fun. Please get some Tribal Class and Battle Class Royal Navy destroyers. They have plenty of guns. The Dido Class were anti aircraft light cruisers. Thus, they only had 5.25" (133cm) guns, which were smaller than a normal light cruiser. Being, in fact, only slightly bigger than the standard Royal Navy destroyer caliber of 4.7". Realistically, you don't want them fighting anything bigger than a destroyer. If it's a German destroyer, then be cautious. They had 5." (127mm) guns. 😊❤😊
Thoroughly enjoying the series. You're right, control the choke points between Sicily and Africa and the bottom of Italy and Greece the the Med is basically split in Two.
Taff, since this is a compact battleground it seems to me that you are not being as efficient as you should be. First, any ships sailing from Gibraltar should be packed with some sort of cargo - even warships. That's a missed opportunity. Second, Seafires, Wayverns and Bristols have very strong frontal firepower so using them solely for ordinance attacks wastes an opportunity to strafe damaged ships for the coup de gras. Maybe not for any ship larger than a destroyer, but certainly everything else. My guess is that one pass of 4 Seafires will kill a destroyer or merchant, so have them circle around and finish your targets. Third, that coastal port you need to cap is Bouge, pronounced Booghe, like beige with the ooh sound. It's French. Fourth, when bombing with your B17s, you should bomb in parallel with the target to achieve more hits per pattern. Last, I would pass on the anti-ship rockets and go for the smaller and more numerous 5-inchers. They seem to keep a tighter strike pattern. The 2-engine German fighter bombers appear to be Messerschmidt 410's which were pretty lethal but not nearly as much as the AI versions. It is unrealistic that they can take down an entire wing of Seafires. I also think you need more submarines to form a picket between Africa and Malta and Alexandria and Greece. Okay, that's it from me. Carry on. O7
Looks like you not only got the _Wyverns_ years ahead of their time - but the "Sonderkommando Elbe", too 😳... (Speaking of: the _Wyvern_ is packing quad 20mm cannons. Should put some nice acceleration holes into Axis ships on occasion.)
Im on the older side of gamers. I used to make fun of people watching someone else play a game on youtube. Now i get it at least with this type of game and even UBOAT and SIlent hunter.. I guess there is a strategy and a story line, not ust some 30 second FPS win.
Rockets are so blatantly op against destroyers. I sent 18 beaufighters with rp3 rockest against 10 dds and only 1 survived. And i looked at the dmg on the receiving end too. 2 italian planes with rockets are enough to instantly destroy 80% of modules and compartments on a dd. Basically 2 rocket planes instakill a dd. Sometimes even 1 is enough
can anybody out there speak to the historicity of German surface vessels in the Mediterranean sea? is that accurate? and if so, how did they get them there? surely not past Gibraltar. is this just a convention for this Mod? its a pretty cool mod, i'm really enjoying it, just wondering about that point, thanks.
Surface fleet, absolutely not. They would have had to pass either Gibraltar or the Suez and had a chance at neither during the war. (The only German surface vessels to ever to my knowledge serve in the Med were Goeben and Breslau of WWI fame) However some U-boats did make it past Gibraltar - it was risky and none survived the war but for a time there were U-boats in the Med.
@@aceofspadesattorney my thoughts as well. i did know that the germans put 62 or 63 uboats into the med. none of which ever left btw. but surface ships i dont think so.
jesus, it took me 3 episodes to realize LL is "Lend Lease"
It took me your reaction to realize
@@mereetpleurtop7052 haha, I'm happy I'm not the only one
@@jtojagicc I kept thinking that one of them should've been "Cool J"
Same lol. It literally came to me in a flash like "shit, LL means Lend-lease"
Now I feel dumb.
I was listening to this in the background... I thought he ment landing ships lol.

The mod is so strange with all the planes and ships but its fun
Excellent episode ! I really enjoyed the air action against the ships.
Old Tiddy Oggy at it again.
Good watch 🎉
Don't forget to supply your new bases.
Got to love the steel flight deck, hose it off
Oh boy.... Just what I needed this Thursday afternoon
This mod is a lot of fun. Great for us alt-history-inspired-fantasy nerds!
"It's a barren wasteland, but it is OUR barren wasteland!" ... I think I laughed too hard at this. 😂
Very English thing to say

Love watching these. Fun looking game
I can't find more than three episodes. Are there more? I really enjoy watching Taff wrestle with all the games. Gaffs and triumphs.
Thanks Taff roll on next week.

Outstanding episode today great work.
Get Incomparable in the fleet and have her in battle! 20inch guns are not to be sniffed at and passed up.
Saw you using the Beaufighters with rockets and torps. They are also excellent at straffing as they have Hispano cannons. Mucho carnage.
Those Italian ships must be made of tin! And those are Messerschmitt 410s.
looks nice
Jesus Malarkey Christ, the planes in this mod need some damn balancing…
Lucky you had those armoured flight decks.
Those twin engine Luftwaffe plains look like He-129s

Maybe start moving supplies fuel etc along the coast so you don’t have to go back too far
A little early for the Germans to conduct Sonderkommando Elbe on the carrier force?...lol
Thought he fixed the weird spitfire turning upside down
Prosacco Haven
Maybe send a fast destroyer with some troops to capture netural ports in easten med area
i've been wondering, how do you get more troops and stuff?

is it me or are those hornets , more like mossies?
They should be lumbering around with all that extra-gear.

is there surface to surface gameplay too?

Why are you returning to port whole Exeter group?? Undamaged ships should stay out as another lookout/ASW patrol...
Why is Gibraltar in the middle of the Spanish coast instead of the peninsula pinching off the Mediterranean?
