DIY Front Porch Welcome Sign | Farmhouse Welcome Sign | Beginner Friendly

- Hey guys,
Welcome back to my channel! I recently made a DIY door round for my front door, so in today’s video, I will be making a welcome sign for the front porch. I used my leftover scrap wood to make my sign. The dimensions measured are 71” long x 15 1/2” wide.
I used 1x3 boards glued together. The boards were glued together off camera. I decided to add burlap, ribbon, and flowers to jazz up my sign. Also, I decided to add a magnet in the place of one L’s, so that I am able to change it out whenever I would like. If you enjoyed this video, please give me a big thumbs up! Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe to my channel if you haven’t already. Make sure you turn your post notifications on so that you’ll never miss an upload from me. Please share this video with your family and friends. 💗

That's super cute. U did an amazing job. I'm new to the cricut world and I'm trying to work on an porch sign. Just can't figure out the letter sizes on the board my sign is 6 ft. So I'm still learning and playing with it but I love your sign. Thanks for sharing will definitely be watching all your other videos. 😊
Hi there Letecia,
Thank you so much. My sign is about 71 inches. I linked some letters in the description box, they’re around 5 inches which is the same size as my letters that I used. I’m sure yours will come out amazing!! Hope this helps, and sorry for a late reply.💗

Love the work where did you get the board from and what size is it
Hi Janet,
Thanks so much!
I used 1x3 boards and I glued them together. The wood was purchased from Lowe’s. It was old scrap wood from a failed project that I repurposed. 💗
Hello this is your new follower🥰 I Would like to know what kind of wood-did you bought?
Hi Julia!
Thank you so much for joining the family & welcome!! It was actually 1x3 boards glued together that I had originally used for a different project, & ended up not liking/using, so i had my husband sand it down and I made my sign. Hope this helps💗
Hello what size are the letters? And the large piece of wood you used to the attach letters too
Hi Stephanie,
I used 1x3 boards and I glued them together. The letters were from hobby lobby, I don’t remember the exact size, however I posted a link in the description box that are similar from Amazon. Hope this helps.💗
👍👍👍
Thank you so much!!💗
What kind of wood do you use and where do you get it. I’m having a problem with my wood, it keeps cupping
Hi,
I usually purchase my wood from Lowe’s. We usually get the white pine, which is the cheaper one. The key to it not bowing/cupping is to try to purchase the lumber the same day or following day that you are planning on doing your project. The longer that it sits in a garage, etc. it will continue to dry out which will result in the cupping. The only other option would be to purchase a higher quality wood that is kiln dried. This option is pricey, and is just honestly not for me. I like to save my coins as much as possible lol. I hope this helps and sorry for the delay in responding. Best of luck on your future projects.💗
@@cortneyb. is the wood piece all one piece or multiple pieces put together?
@@angelrewakowsky7699
Hello,
Thank you so much for watching! It’s multiple pieces glued together.💗
That is so amazing but I afraid of a saw wish I had the word oh
Hi Linda,
Thank you so much! I was nervous about using the saw at first too, but once you give it a go a few times it’s not so bad!💗
Where to get the wood pieces
Hi,
I’m so sorry I am just seeing this. I got my wood from Lowe’s! 💗
